Good morning! I am dropping off my car for routine maintenance this morning, then going to work on some things around here. We met with the electrician yesterday and told him what we needed. Good morning,
I didn't sleep well because...mosquito bites! A couple of nights ago I sat out on the porch talking on the phone to Maricarmen, John's SO, and apparently didn't notice those little flying monsters. I was up several times putting anti-itch stuff on my ankles. I took an antihistamine this morning so hopefully they'll calm down.
Going to yoga in a few minutes and then lunch with a yoga-mate. After that, I have to finish up postcards and get them in the mail.

Good morning everyone from rainy Tennessee!
Today is teacher appreciation day. I spent a lot of years in the classroom, and a lot of hours outside the classroom preparing for it, etc. I loved teaching, but to be honest I do not miss it.
Slowly but surely we are getting settled back into our routine. If it clears off this afternoon we're going to the plant nursery. My cleaning lady will be here soon, and the house always sparkles when she leaves. I am trying to distract my thoughts because I am furious with my DD's father. There is not a bone in that man's body that is not selfish. I try not to say anything, but when his actions hurt my daughter and make her cry it is all I can do to not just pummel him. Instead I bite my tongue and try to remember that it's not my place to get into the middle anymore, and she is a grown woman who must learn to stand up for herself even against her father. The fact that he is her father is the biggest regret of my life. I apologize if I just shared too much information. I guess I just needed to vent in a safe spot.

Please feel free to vent as much as you need to. I used to get so upset with my former husband at the way he treated my DD. You are right about her being an adult, but it is painful to see her get hurt.
