Good morning!
Yesterday we bought 8 Knock-Out rose bushes (4 red and 4 coral, my two favorite colors for roses) and some coreopsis to all go along with the monkey grass for the back patio bed we are redoing. Nick is now a man on a mission to get everything planted. We had our lawncare guy dig all the old plants out of the bed as well as remove the mulch in it while we were away. He's also put new mulch in all the other beds and gotten them ready for summer, and will do the same for this one as soon as it's planted. I wanted to have him do the planting as well, but Nick is determined that he wants to do it himself so I've given up telling him it's too big a job for him. If it makes him happy, let him go for it. Fortunately, we are going through a much cooler few days weather wise so that will be a big help. He'll plant the roses last as they have thorns, and he's ordered some long gloves made for working with roses from Amazon.
Not sure what I will do today, but there is plenty to do to keep me busy. One thing I need to do, and will definitely start today, is clean out closets. I need to get rid of a lot of things that we haven't worn in a long time and won't wear again. One thing I liked about this house when we bought it is that it has a lot of storage space with nice, big closets. The problem with having that though is that it is too easy to fill it up rather than purging so that when I do decide to get rid of things it's a bigger job than it would be if I did it more often.

Good morning!
Joyce, your gardens sound lovely! At least Nick isn’t doing everything himself! A spell of cooler weather will certainly help, too.
We picked up our pots to replace the wooden barrels at the end of the driveway. We’ll work on those either this weekend or next. We cannot really plant any annuals until Memorial Day here in the Berkshires, the evenings are sometimes too cold for the tender plants.
Our house here was built in 1840, there is not a lot of storage and only one closet in the house. We are forced to be careful about what we have here. And to get creative about storage.
Waving to Maryenne, hoping she is making out okay with the storms and to Esther, hoping her friend is on the mend.
Have a peaceful day. Lynn
