Good morning!

I'm really enjoying a pleasant easy morning with my coffee. My friend Lynn and I drove halfway yesterday and the traffic was tolerable. We're in a Holiday Inn Express which is new and quite clean. We'll meet downstairs for breakfast at around 8 and then head home, with a stop at Ellis Brothers Pecans.

I'll be glad to get home and wash my yoga clothes!

Lynn and Esther, any special plans this holiday weekend?

While we are still under a flood warning through Monday, it is thankfully not raining now and the sun is shining. Fingers crossed it will stay that way! If so we plan to grill hamburgers today, and then Monday I want to try grilling chicken marinated in Margarita mix. My friend's husband made that, and she says it was delicious. Certainly simple enough so we'll try it too. We'll see if our sunshine lasts. I've had more than enough high wind and rain to last for awhile.

Joyce, the chicken sounds delicious! I had chicken marinated in lime and tequila when I was in Santa Fe many years ago.. It was so moist and flavorful! Probably a similar taste.

Waving to Esther.

We have no big plans for the weekend. DH is going to help a friend polyurethane a couple of large windows tomorrow and Monday. I’ll probably do a few things here at the house- I want to organize the clothes. I also need to get the things together we are bringing back to RI next week and make a list of what we are bringing back.
