Good morning friends,
I've been up since about 5:30 even after going to bed very late. Last night we watched three episodes of Clarkston's Farm on Britbox. It's pretty funny.
This morning I've peeled and cut up the peaches I brought home from Georgia. I know DH will want to use them for smoothies, which means there likely won't be enough for a cobbler.
My plan for today is to put away all the laundry I washed yesterday and to wash two cat-hair-covered items.

Maryenne, those Georgia peaches will be delicious either in smoothies or a cobbler.
Lynn and Esther, hope you are having a good holiday.
It has turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day here although we had a very stormy night. I woke up about 1:00 am and there was a ferocious storm as well as the tornado sirens going off. My phone app, however, had not given a tornado alert which it will normally do. So I turned on the TV to a local station to check. A tornado had been spotted, but not touched down, and it was in the southern part of our county headed away from us. That's why my phone had not alerted even though the county warning sirens were blaring. So I went back to bed.
Today we have grilled chicken, and I made baked beans, potato salad, and coleslaw. It was all very good, but we definitely have plenty of leftovers. DD and DSIL have gone to Oxford, MS to restock their AirBnB condo there. She called a little earlier and asked if I could pick DGD up and take her to a pool party at one of her friend's house who lives in the next subdivision over from me as she didn't think they were going to get back home in time. Of course, I'm happy to as we are just hanging out at home.
However you are spending this holiday, I hope you are enjoying it and stopping for a moment to remember that freedom is far from free.

Good evening.
Quiet day here, just getting a few things settled around the house. It rained a bit, so DH didn’t have to water the plants he put in this weekend. I made a blueberry pie for tomorrow. We have friends coming over for dinner. We had leftovers for dinner and tomorrow I MUST go to the store since we have nothing left after we have yogurt and blueberries for breakfast.
