Good morning everyone! My news at the ortho this morning was not what I was hoping for. I definitely do have a torn meniscus, but lots of other stuff with arthritis is going on behind my knee cap. I've been dealing with arthritis in my knees since my DD who will turn 50 next month was young, but still I wasn't expecting to hear the result. He says I need a partial knee replacement. So that's a bigger deal than just the torn meniscus surgery. Still at least it's better than a total knee replacement. My doctor at one time was considered the best ortho surgeon in the area, but he's retired from doing actual surgery now so he's referring me to another doctor in the same practice who does partial knee replacements for that. I'll consult with that doctor on June 10. My current doctor is going to take over my back issues, and he wants to get another MRI on that as my last one is about 3 years old. So I'll have that on the 14th. If I am going to have to have this surgery, I want to get it over with as soon as possible so I can start recovering. My summer is not looking very bright right now, but I'm planning on having a great fall.

Hello,
nashville11, I'm sorry about your knee issues on top of your back issues. I don't blame you for wanting to get it over with.
I tutored my Indian student this morning rather than Friday, because she's going to attempt to pass one section of the GED on Friday. I say "attempt" because I'll be surprised if she passes. She decided to take the Social Studies portion first and it's full of charts and graphs which we haven't even worked on. I personally think she would do better with the Language portion, but it's her decision, of course. After tutoring, I filled my car, bought milk, and came home and made myself lunch. I also sent an email out to all my other students letting them know that we will meet Friday, but not again until June 21 because of my trip to Buffalo.
Tomorrow I'm meeting a friend for breakfast at 9, and then I'll get my Prolia shot at 11:30.
Hope you all are having a good Wednesday!

Good afternoon from the road back to the Berkshires. We had a great visit to RI and got a lot done.
Joyce, sorry the news was not better about the knee. I don’t blame you for looking forward to getting it done and getting on with things.
Maryenne, hope your student does well on the test.
Waving to Esther and wishing everyone a great evening. Lynn
