Good morning friends,
I'm going to meet Suzanne for lunch and then meet DH at the Honda dealership where I have to drop off my car. It's doing some wonky things and cruise control stopped working. I'm sure it's a sensor of some type. Hopefully a quick fix and not too expensive.
I'm feeling much better today..thank you all for commiserating.
Happy Monday!

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, glad you are feeling better. Never hesitate to come here to post when you are not. You're going through a very difficult period right now. There's no right or wrong way to get through it, and absolutely no time frame. Glad you are having lunch with Suzanne today. She's a good friend. Hope your car will be an easy and inexpensive fix. I bet you are correct that it's some sort of a sensor.
Lynn, did you get everything packed you wanted to take back to MA? I'm not sure if you were going back yesterday or today.
Esther, it's always good to see you post. How's your friend feeling now?
Yesterday's trip to see step-son #2 and DGS was both good and bad. We usually meet them at Chili's restaurant near them. It's familiar to DGS who is autistic and he usually does pretty well there. The last few times though neither Nick or I have liked the food so I had suggested we meet at O'Charleys which is just across from Chili's. Big mistake! DGS just totally could not handle it. It was bad--the worst I've ever seen with him I think. Step-son had to take him back home. We ate our meal then went to step-son's apartment where DGS had calmed down and was doing much better in his familiar environment. So we were able to visit with step-son. It's really sad. We both worry about both of them, but of course it's especially hard for Nick. Step-son is wonderful with Tyler who is 8 now, but it is a hard life for him. I don't know exactly where DGS falls on the spectrum but it seems pretty severe to me, and I pray things will improve as he gets older. His speech is still really lacking, but has shown definite improvement so that's a positive. We worry what his life will possibly be like, and we worry about step-son #2, who devotes his life to DGS but really has no life to speak of for himself.
Today I have lots of small chores that need to be done. Just stuff that is easily put off, but needs to be done.

We are on our way to RI for a couple of days. Meeting with the cabinet lady today and getting together with BFfs for dinner. Tomorrow morning I have a blood test for an upcoming rheumatologist appointment. Then hair and nails. We will collect the mail, meet with the electrician and maybe the plasterer.
Sending wishes for a peaceful day. Lynn
