Good morning!
Maryenne, your dinner last night sounds good. I've never had that casserole, but Paula Deen's recipes are always delicious. I like that Stouffer's spinach souffle also.
Lynn, you did great getting so much accomplished for your renovation. It's really coming along nicely!
Esther, hope all is well with you and that you are staying cool.
Our hottest day was yesterday. I heard our heat index got up to 110!! Today we have rain and thunderstorms so it is cooling things off. It shouldn't be quite as hot next week.
Our handyman came yesterday and installed a new can light in the living room where the clip on one had broken and dropped down. He also got one coat of paint on the short hallway wall where we had him do some electrical work right before we left for our cruise. He'll be back today to put on the 2nd coat of paint.
I have several things to do around the house today. I'm also picking DGD and her friend up from something special going on at school, and I plan to go to the walking track. I had ordered several things from Amazon and some I'm returning. Maybe I will get that done today also. Being able to just drop them off at Kohl's is so convenient, but that convenience probably does encourage me to order more.

Hello friends
We still have temps in the 90’s. I am waiting for DGS to come and put my AC in the window. He is not working in this area right now. The house does cool off at night.
Donald’s court review is due for the guardianship. I thought our elder attorney was handling it but she says the nursing home should be doing it so I don’t have to pay an attorney. Meanwhile I don’t know how to get the clinical report and get it to the court. The nursing home staff are in a meeting this morning so I can’t even talk to them about it right now. This is so scary for me., dealing with the court and not having anyone to help me at the nursing home.
Joyce Hope your BP is down today.
Lynn It sounds like your construction is going well.
Maryenne I’m sorry about your dream. Grief is a long process. Sending a hug your way.
Esther

Good morning!
Today we are doing a few errands and a few things around the house. It’s warm but the temperatures will be heading to the 70s this week- from the 90s. We have a birthday party tonight for a friend. Tomorrow is a wine dinner featuring wines from Croatia. Should be interesting. I am looking forward to it.
Joyce, it sounds like you are getting a lot of little things done before your cruise.
Esther, I am so sorry that no one from the nursing home is able to help with Don’s review.
Maryenne, GL with the doctor today. Te stitches come out today if I remember correctly.
Sending wishes or a peaceful day. Lynn

Hello to all of us - we're all here today!
I got my stitches out and I think it will heal up pretty well.
Last night I wrote ten postcards and this morning found an actual mailbox to put them in. I never imagined how hard it is to find a mailbox. I tutored my Indian student also this morning and had to fill up my car. Now I'm home and I'm sure it's well over 90. I've got some thank you cards to write - that's all I really plan for this afternoon.
Joyce, that onion casserole is delicious (made plenty for leftovers) but it used a lot of dishes. There were a lot of steps: quarter the onions, boil the onions, then saute the onions in butter, mix eggs, evaporated milk, and Ritz crumbs, then bake it all in the oven, then put on a topping of Ritz crumbs and butter.
Esther, I hope you hear back from the nursing home soon.
Lynn, have fun at the birthday party!
