Good morning friends!

I have been out deadheading my roses. Oh my! It was so hot and humid I had to take several breaks even though I started well before 9 o'clock. Definitely I will not be doing that again before fall!!!

Yesterday we set up the air mattress I ordered from Amazon for DGD to use. It's a nice one, and queen size with good height to it as well. With the bult in pump it took less than 2 minutes to completely inflate. So I think we're going to be pleased. Right now I'm trying to let the plastic smell dissipate, and I think it has just about disappeared. I want it to be gone before putting the sheets, etc. on it.

It's so hot I've already announced to Nick that we'll be going out to eat, as I'm not cooking.

It’s warm and muggy here- thunderstorms are forecast for this evening. We are headed to a friend’s house so DH can help him stain some woodwork around a window. I think I’ll head to the store and browse for a birthday present for DD2. Her birthday is tomorrow and she and her SO will be here later today for a few days.

Hello!

It's very hot and humid here in the mornings and then we've been having rain in the afternoons. We had big thunderstorms last night and our power went out for a while. I went to Publix early so I could get back before it rains.

We've got leftovers for tonight and I bought a few things for future meals.

This afternoon, DH is going to help a friend with some computer stuff and I'll stay here and write postcards. Or nap.
