Good morning!
We are under heat advisories today and tomorrow with heat indexes up to 111. Also there's a possibility of strong thunderstorms tomorrow so our 4th may be a soggy one. Our family all arrive tomorrow afternoon. Wouldn't you know something in one of the toilet tanks cracked and had water leaking all over the floor this morning. Bless our handyman because he is going to come today to replace it. Really glad this didn't happen tomorrow!!
My other news is that DD & DSIL have bought a new house. We were shocked as they had looked before and decided to stay where they are because they didn't find anything they liked so had quit looking. This time they just happened to drive by when the realtor was putting up the sale sign, and asked to see the house because they liked the outside and the neighborhood. This was Monday. They liked it, but wanted to change out some flooring so DSIL had the flooring guy meet him there yesterday morning to get an estimate on the cost of doing that. They made an offer on the house, and it was accepted. It doesn't surprise me for DD to decide that quickly as she has always known what she likes as soon as she sees it, but it shocks me with DSIL. He is usually more like me, and very cautious in making decisions. They're supposed to close on the new house Aug 5. So now they need to get busy and get their house on the market. The one they are buying is lovely. We drove by it yesterday afternoon, and I've seen the online pictures. I am happy for them.
