Good morning and Happy 4th of July!
It is going to be a super hot and humid one. At 6 this morning it's 80, and we are under heat warnings. We may get thunderstorms this afternoon, but fingers crossed we don't. Step-sons and their families will arrive this afternoon. I think everything is ready except the last minute stuff. It's going to be a busy couple of days. Wishing you each a wonderful celebration whatever you do.

Good morning! I have been MIA for the last couple of days. DH had been sick with a “tummy bug” and Tuesday night ended up in the ER. Six hours later and they said he has Norovirus. Personally I don’t think so as that is extremely contagious and i have not been sick at all. I think something is off with his gall bladder but I am not an MD. He was extremely dehydrated and again, in my humble opinion should have been given a bag of IV fluid. He had some chicken soup last night and has been feeling a bit better. So I have been vigilant about his fluid intake and him drinking the correct fluids- no seltzer water (which we drink a lot) because it is super carbonated and not good on tender tummies. He says he is doing better, but not back to himself. I had my laser procedure yesterday. My eye feels fine today. It was a bit blurry and sore last night, but nothing a Tylenol couldn’t handle. I got up early and am enjoying a cup of coffee. DD left a while ago to go out for breakfast and head back to RI. They had a great time here and they completely cleaned the kitchen and bathroom while we were in RI the last couple of days. DH is still insisting that we are Irving to Florida next week. maryenne , I will PM you if we do. We’ll drive down since he had some idea that he might go see his friend with dementia on this trip. I don’t think that will happen. But I am keeping my mouth shut and practicing patience. He is having a tough time and just needs support and space. His nephew is not reacting well to this latest round of chemo. DH wants to be there for his sister. Their younger brother has been there for a week and is supposed to leave today but I will talk to him later. Sorry for the long boggy post, but you are great at listening! I love this little group. Joyce, enjoy your busy household. Your grandchildren will remember this forever! Just pace yourselves and enjoy the love. maryenne , I hope you can get the MRI appointment straightened out. Waving to Esther. Have a peaceful day. Lynn

Hello friends,
I had my zoom yoga class this morning. DH is preparing breakfast - yes, this is his breakfast time. We'll have baby back ribs (already cooked), a baked potato, and some steamed broccoli at some point. It's hard to schedule a meal with him because he's not a day person so he doesn't really observe mealtimes. He'd rather just eat whenever he's ready.
Lynn, I've already forgotten which part of Florida you're going to. If you come on I-75, that's about 90 minutes away. I hope your DH starts feeling better.
Joyce, I hope you have a really great time with your family!
Esther, hope you are staying cool with your new AC.
