Good morning!
We had a great time at the brewery. It is in an old firehouse in Torrington, CT. There is a museum there. DS and DH were asking about the fire truck that is on the main floor. The owner spent a long tome talking to the about it and then told them about a new fire engine he had acquired. Turns out it was from a town about ten miles from us in RI! DH and DS both know the fire chief in that town, so they will take pictures when the engine is put on display. The owner gave DS a wooden coaster made from the floorboards from the original flooring. Being a firefighter (DS) and a retired firefighter (DH) they had a great time! And the beer is awesome!
Today we are going to a bookstore in NY with our friend. I can’t wait- I love a bookstore.
Sending wishes for a peaceful day. Lynn

Good morning!
Lynn, it sounds like you are having a great time! Enjoy the bookstore!
I'm feeling much better than yesterday. I was in a teary funk much of the day. I didn't cook spaghetti, but instead made an asparagus tart. Today I'll cook the spaghetti sauce.
Happy Monday!

Good afternoon!
Lynn, glad your DH and DS got to enjoy seeing the fire engines on display. Have fun today also. Here when someone says they are going to NY people always assume they actually mean NYC, but that may not be the case with you. Are you going to the city or somewhere else in the state? Anyway, have fun!!
Maryenne, I'm glad you're feeling better today. One of my dad's favorite foods was asparagus, and one of my aunts used to always make an asparagus casserole for him whenever we had family events. Your asparagus tart made me think of that, so thanks for the good memory.
This morning I saw the ortho doctor again. Since the last injection my knee is much, much better. In fact, the majority of the time now it feels pretty much normal. He was pleased, and told me just to call when this injection starts wearing off to get another one. He said there is no way to tell how long it will last. It might be 6 weeks or it might be 6 months. Fingers crossed it's months.
After my doctor's appointment I had my Red Hatters' club lunch. That's always a lot of laughs. There's no program or anything. It's just women getting together to eat, talk, and laugh. It's always a lot of fun. After that I returned my car to DD for the rest of the month, and Nick picked me up from there and brought me home.
