AMY-saw the photo no FB . tables looked lovely. CATHY-did you swim? were you going to your parents or did you already do that? Have fun finishing your art combo project
hope everyone had a nice day. ours was nice, woke up to no power but generator was doing it's job. lasted about 2 hrs so at least the neighbors were ok. we offered our fridge to them if the power didn't come back

Morning- Faye- lost power? didn't realize it was that bad there! Hope all is back to normal How was your dinner in the city - do you drive or take the train?
Did anyone indulge in Black Friday shopping? I did not (at least at stores!) I did buy on line from Lands' End & my big bargain - I ride in Arait Terrian ankle boots - my current pair is probably 7-8 years old -tread is worn -they are normally $98 - I found them at State Line for $60 + $8 shipping -woo hoo! New boots on their way!
Making our turkey tonight for us & another couple - have my potatoes cooking -cranberry sauce made yesterday -turkey will go in around 2!
Very foggy here today-probably could ride -just not sure if i will -tomorrow for sure -the sun is supposed to finally be out -
I actually DID go to the "outlets" near us this morning -was there by 8:45 -they are the "premium outlets" in my mind not a lot of real bargains - but there is a Chico's outlet store -& I love their tops - they were 50% off & I get another 5% as a passport member -when I left at 9:30 it was getting crazy!
Waving to all - ride if you can - HSGD - CBL

My heart is so happy, have all 3 of my dgd's here overnight last night. We went out for ice cream/dinner at a local diner! The girls rode Lucy yesterday, she was a bit "feeling her oats" trying to trot all the time instead of walking with Marissa (11 yo) who usually rides her alone. She is fully recovered from her shoulder injury, I had to get on her (in the kids saddle lol) and straighten her out so she would walk and stop. Then she was fine, walked calmly. She was great when I lead the other girls. Taking the girls shopping today, probably will play Candyland again a few times! It's the rainy season in Hawaii, dh doesn't want to go if it's going to be all rainy. So, the trip may be rescheduled-probably not though. I told him if it's bad, we'll just come home early. It's still 80 degrees there HAGR everyone! Wave to Cathy, Faye, Barb, Beth, Dutch, Amy and all to follow! Faye; the stuffed dates were a hit! 3 ingredients, broil 6 minutes, so easy! They were gone in minutes!

BETH-so sorry you are sick. feel better. LIBBY-sounds like a fun time. I loved the game Candyland! BARB-don't think it was the weather . just our area so sometimes, don't laugh, it's a squirrel on the wires or something dumb like that. most wires are underground but some are up above,.
went in by car , no traffic dinner at Sardis was nice and across the street from the show. it was raining so couldn't walk around. show was not great. Boring actually. nathan lane was funny and great but show was terrible in our opinions. got home about 12:30 AM long day
did shopping today but couldn't find anything we needed at mall but did ok at Bed/bath/beyond for DD with our coupons.
that's pretty much it.
tooth seems better so hope I can put off the root canal a while

Libby-if you're 4 weeks and still coughing... I think you may have bronchitis. Not a head cold. Please see the dr. before going to Hawaii.

Sad night, my dstep-sons mother died yesterday, the two who live in Alaska. 27 & 29 years old. Way too young to lose your mom! Taking dgd's home early this morning then starting to clear the kitchen for remodel! Better go, HAGD!

Good morning. I'm not going to church this morning. I'm feeling just a little bit better but not enough to want to disturb anyone with the sneezing, sniffling and coughing.
Libby-that is so sad. Was it an expected death or an accident of some kind?
Faye-sorry the show was boring.

Morning - Libby- sorry for the loss - yes that is young -and sad. Beth - yikes - yes, colds this time of year do hang on for ever! Faye -Sardi's -how fancy! the most "fancy" place I ever ate in NYC - was Russian Tea Room (is it still there?) We saw several stars there!
I did a ride yesterday-cloudy but figured ride while i can -today is sunny but cold -will go out as they say from Tues on it's rain, rain, rain!
don't know if any of you have XM radio -I have pretty much always had it in my cars -I play the "game" with them - when I get the bill I call to cancel - which is VERY hard to do -they offer you lots of incentives - I have gotten it down to $5 a month -usually a 5 or 6 month period -always have bills sent -no credit cards (or they can renew at the higher rates) then wait for the best offer -once I actually did cancel & 2 weeks later got an email offering the $5 a month -no activation fee! So now I'm good till April & then I'll play again! Moral of the story -don't ever pay the full price!
Ok- off to clean & ride - waving to the gang - HAGD - keep warm - CBL

LIBBY-so very sorry for your SSon's loss. way to young. I agree with Beth, if still coughing time for the Dr. BETH-feel better. better to stay home and rest. BARB-Sardis is more fun than going for the food. Tasty but not superb. Love seeing the caricatures, and it was across the street to the theater and parking lot. Yes, Russian Tea room still there, went for Mother's day last year. remodelled so not quite the same. Went with my mother there many years ago. we don't eat out much so when we go it's usually fancy"ish". Been to 21Club once and that was super duper. WHen DD and I asked where the ladies room was the Maitre d offered his arm and escorted us downstairs to show us. it was something, and yummy. Fanciest was in washington DC , it was Citronelle. it was spectacular. the meals were works of art. unfortunately they were in a hotel and years ago it flooded in a storm. then the chef relocated to NY and it was not great. then he recently died. Glad I got his cookbook, to fancy to make anything but pretty to look at !
off to tea with DD then then she'll go home. nice weekend. Hope everyone had a good holiday. Waving to all.
