Good morning & Happy Monday to all! We had our first snow last night - just a dusting nothing on the roads but snow none the less! I could do without! Show yesterday was a bust -while there was a large turnout -I had few buyers and all small items Not sure if it was my location (in the middle of an aisle, surrounded by food vendors?) A glass friend who does mostly stained glass (which is more decorative than functional) said it was her best show in a while - she was in the cafe where they were serving food - I was in the gym - oh well -on to the next show. Faye- I think you asked if Penny was "ready" for snow -I did have her sheet kept on her yesterday -will go put a blanket on today as it is supposed to be cold & windy -I'm hoping BM plugged in the extension cord so we can heat the water as needed. She will get her borium shoes put on in a week or so.
We are going to DDIL's parents in town for Thanksgiving -what is everyone here doing? I am bringing appetizers, cranberry sauce (homemade) and desserts!

BARB-glad Penny is ready for winter. cold here and a dusting of snow too. Sorry about the show. so tooth needed a new filling but he saw a crack too and so if this doesn't do it may need root canal and a crown. never ends. I'm thankful he got me in this morning, great guy, but I'm disgusted.
waving to all. HAGD

Barb; snow, yikes! it's still in the 60's during the day here. Weird, my fuchsia and roses are still blooming! We had a family dinner here last Saturday. About 26 adults and 5 children, it was a blast! Faye; so glad it wasn't worse, yet a cracked tooth is painful! did you get to see your regular dentist? I'm going tomorrow for my 6 month cleaning. Beth; hope dh is doing better, sounds like your managing your knee pain ;( Cathy; yes, the prison is a different world, I just feel like heroin and meth has stolen a lot of peoples lives, and their children's! Painting/staining bathroom cabinets? how is that going? Wave to Amy, Dutch and atf The contractor isn't coming to talk to us till next Tuesday, I thought it was tomorrow! I'll know more about the schedule then. When we changed the design, just the cabinets alone went up 2K dollars, yikes! I saw a van at the vacant homeless camp behind our pasture last week, called the code enforcement officer and yes, it was stolen! Hope this can end sometime soon! DH and I have never taken a two week vacation before, usually its a long weekend and a couple of times it was 10 days! Wish I could take all of you to Hawaii with me!! I should have internet there. We leave on the 30th

Good morning. Had TG with DH parents yesterday. There was 15 of us there and so much food it was ridiculous. Will have TG with my family Thursday at DB's house.
Faye-sorry about the crack in the tooth. I hope the filling works.
Libby-the 30th will be here before you know it. Something about the stolen van being dumped there.
Barb-sorry the show was a bust. Been there, done that. No telling what the reason was.

Good morning Tuesday
BETH-good luck with DH root canal. LIBBY-Hawaii sounds great. still a dusting of snow on the ground here.
tooth is a little better and will probably need the root canal and crown but will wait til after Thanksgiving to not throw something else in the mix. (as long as dentist says I can wait) FB went nuts on my computer, cant open it so maybe a sign to stay off of it.
workout this AM then shopping for final Thanksgiving stuff. Just the 3 of us so should be ok HAGD

Good morning. Taking DH to get his root canal and crown today. I don't know if it will be a temp crown or a permanent one today. I'm only going by my past experience years ago when you got a temp crown while a permanent one was made and then you went back to get it put on. BBL

Wow the days go so fast! Trying not to stress about everything I want to get done before vacation! I'll start my list today and that will help! Barb, Faye, & Beth's dh- stop the dental madness! lol Hope everyone is OK, not in pain Horses get shoes this morning, then dentist - trying to figure out when I have time to get some work in lol- how did I ever work full-time? Sending warm fuzzy horse vibes to everyone with snow!

Hi, all! Faye, sorry about the tooth! But guess it's best to deal with it. Always was lucky, just crowns and no root canals. The market was CRAZY yesterday so be careful at the store Barb, sorry about the snow AND the show. Glad Penny is getting her winter shoes soon. Libby, you are going to have SO much fun in Hawaii! Was this your first time? A friend is taking her 2 daughters for Xmas...her first time. Glad you got the law onto the stolen van! Beth, good luck to DH at the dentist. Yup, he'll get a temp first than the perm crown. I always have my dentist numb my mouth even for the application of the perm crown. My teeth get sensitive and best not to twitch when the dentist has sharp tools in your mouth Got in a swim yesterday...very quiet at the pool so may go again tomorrow since they are closed on Thursday. Will go to mom and dad's for TG breakfast since niece goes to her mom's family for dinner. We'll have a TG dinner Friday at Benihana's Did not sleep well last night so quite grumpy. Will try to walk today to get rid of the crankiness and hopefully sleep better tonight. Cathy

Well today was a bust. DH came down with a cold yesterday and he called the dentist office to be sure it was okay to come today. Oh yes the office said. Oh no it wasn't the dentist said today. He said DH had to be able to breath through his nose which he has been unable to yesterday and today. So now he's rescheduled until 12-6. I made DH take some generic Benadryl just a little while ago. He can't take just any antihistamine as he has panic attacks with some brands.
So since I'm home earlier that I thought, I'm going to make my peanutbutter pie today instead of tomorrow.

Libby-I know what you mean about time & work! -Vacation sounds wonderful - I guess i missed you were going -land or cruise? Which islands -I loved it when we went almost 2 years ago - would go back in a heartbeat -but for the air travel to get there! 6 hrs to San Fran -then 6 more to Honolulu!
Cold & Windy here again today -no riding - Hoping for tomorrow-BM forgot to plug in water heater so I was scooping ice this morning -I Know he won't forget tonight! Beth - sorry about DH - is he a good patient? (most are not!) Faye - hope your tooth issue goes well -
Spent some time in a friends hot tub this afternoon -now chilling (DH off playing pool -so I have some alone time!) Waving to Dutch, Cathy & anyone else (?) HAGD- stay warm - ride if you can - TTFN

Good morning Wednesday
BETH-sorry about DH and the cold and the postponed visit. Hope he's better soon. I think you are doing another Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, have fun. BARB-sorry about the heater and the water. hope things are a bit warmer or at least the heater is back on. CATHY-how's the painting of merging the 2 paintings going? you seemed to like it if I recall. Hope you swam. is the guy who was an issue still no longer a problem?Any news on the glasses? DUTCH-enjoy the new siding, sorry about the banging. Good you started Christmas shopping. LIBBY-hope things will finally quiet down in that lot behind you.
heading to endodontist to evaluate the tooth. got another harp gig so 5 now but this one is background for a Senior community holiday tea so that's no stress. I like playing all the tunes and it's the last one of the 5 gigs so by then I hopefully will be playing on autopilot! Had to take out a few more though so will work on those a bit. Problem is I love the holiday tunes so hard to eliminate for the shows.
HAGD. happy cooking for anyone doing that today. DD home tonight.
Waving to all.

Good morning. Day 3 of DH's cold. I just hope he feels better tomorrow for the dinner.
Faye-5 gigs? Wow! you're getting very popular.
Barb-was this past weekend you last show of the year or do you still have another show for 2016?
Dutch-is it vinyl siding you're putting on your house?
Libby-are you getting a new flooring in the kitchen also?
Cathy-what kind of restaurant is Benihana's ?

Beth; I really hope that dh gets better quickly! Faye; you are busy with those gigs! how fun :)Sorry the tooth is giving you so much trouble! Barb; Kauai, we are actually staying in a hotel. Haven't done that in a while. The timeshare we have there is not accessible and dh and I wanted to go to a specific beach that we spent the day at when we went on the Island hopping cruise (fun-ist ever) about 10 years ago! Our flight is about 5 hrs from Seattle! Cathy- I love Benihana's - don't like having to go to dt Seattle to go there - have fun! Amy- love the pic's on FB Dutch- I still haven't put blankets on my girls. The "boys" have had blankets on for a month or so now-they have a run in shed that they share, the girls have a barn. Working at home again this morning, actually got a lot done yesterday afternoon. Started my to do list DH had to change the kitchen cabinets again last night when dbil pointed out that we would only have a 27" door and we need very wide doors! I had to give up a really cool cabinet that I already have with 2 sliding baskets in it, dsil and dd helped me make that painful decision Dbil is going to help the contractor with the job I think if I ever get a "sewing/craft" room set up downstairs, I will use that cabinet for crafty things Headed to Seattle this afternoon to sign wills/trust. Glad that will be done!! HAGR everyone!

Hi, all! Faye, wow...you will be a harping master by the end of 2016! The holiday songs are nice...I haven't done much with those yet. Harp lesson early today since I can't go tomorrow and she has lots of folks away for the week. Beth, sorry about DH and delaying the dentist. Wow...tooth problems AND a cold...that is not a very fun holiday Beninhana's is one of those Japanese-ish stir fry places where they cook on a big griddle in front of you. Love Hibachi shrimp...yeah. Made with lots of butta'! Libby, bummer about not getting the cabinets you wanted. I used standard sizes because couldn't afford custom. Kauai so so beautiful...which area are you in? Been there lots Barb, yikes...frozen water already??!? I guess you got in some nice weather this fall so here comes winter! East Coast gets Florida, West Coast gets Hawaii Hi to Dutch and Amy! Hope to get to the pool today as it will be closed tomorrow and I think Friday. Got in a short walk yesterday with my neighbor and her dog. The watercolor combo is going well. I've finished the fun part, now I'm working on the background. Had a lot of time Monday to paint but been busy since then. Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone! Cathy

Hello all! Happy early Thanksgiving! I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow! Thank you for being so welcoming to me!
Libby, she really didn't even have tree cover once the leaves fell off - hence blanketing early. Otherwise, I'm pretty much with you. We don't get super cold, but the wet will get you cold after a while.
Squiggle, We're having hardi plank install. We should be good for many years. Glad we're doing this as the rot we feared to find ... we found. Not serious damage, but happy to have it fixed and not worry about it for a very long time!
All the best folks!

endodontist was great. Part is TMJ and gave me a muscle relaxer for a few days and said do compresses, hot and cold. Part is the tooth but he doesn’t think the pain is the tooth. But will prob. eventually need root canal and crown
He doesn’t think the crack is to the nerve so if I’m ok with it just hang out until it ‘s a problem
LIBBY-sorry about the cabinet but I bet you wont' miss it once you see the whole new kitchen. CATHY-hope you get to swim. enjoy the harp lesson.
waving to all.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Not serious damage, but happy to have it fixed and not worry about it for a very long time! Is this what is sometimes called tongue n'groove? Sorry about the rot. Part is TMJ and gave me a muscle relaxer for a few days and said do compresses, hot and cold. Part is the tooth but he doesn’t think the pain is the tooth. Beninhana's is one of those Japanese-ish stir fry places where they cook on a big griddle in front of you. Love Hibachi shrimp...yeah. Made with lots of butta' Okay I know what Hibachi cooking is. I think if I ever get a "sewing/craft" room set up downstairs, I will use that cabinet for crafty things IF and that's a big IF you ever retire then you will love a craft room.

HI all - busy morning here -we ladies can do it all! Faye - hope the muscle relaxer helps -but as you said, in the end a root canal in your future! My dentist apt is next wednesday -so will see what is going on here -I have some dull pain at least once a day enough to take something for it (and I hate taking pills!) Libby - your trip sounds fantastic -as I said I loved Hawaii -just getting there sucked! Have fun -relax - have an umbrella drink for all of us! (when do you leave?) Who takes care of the horses when you are gone? Dutch -like your field - our trees are bare -I switched Penny to a mid-weight blanket this week -(she has 2) -also a heavy weight for when it gets real cold & a fleece liner -just in case!
Water seemed ok this morning -a bit of ice around the heater element -but I'm hoping it was because the water was so low it was not even floating -they are drinking a lot of water. We got out for an hour ride around noon -mostly walked -the ground is hard & her feet are needing a trim -will try to get farrier in next week - will put her borium shoes on.
I made my cranberry sauce this morning -we are going to DDIL's parent's house (about 2 miles from us ) I am also bringing appetizers & desserts -they are deep frying a turkey! DH & DDIL not coming in -we won't see them until 12/21 - Waving to the rest of the group- enjoy your turkey day -ride if you can - HAGD - CBL

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am thankful for my friends on this board!! Faye; sorry about the TMJ! hope your more comfortable today Barb: Heidi who keeps her horses, diesel & Rhoku here, is taking care of the girls and the kitty (my daughter is here twice a day before and after work on M,T,W, so she'll also check on things). Not sure if dsil and her dh are staying here while we are gone, it depends on the kitchen demo plans. I'd feel better if they did. Cathy; we are going to coconut beach, staying at the Marriott, the first 9 days. Then moving over to a Fancier (more expensive lol) Marriott Grand at Kalapaki bay, that's the place dh & I have been dreaming about for 10 years! Too bad the pool will be closed for a couple of days, makes exercising routines hard . Beth; hope dh is better and you have a good day! Dutchwife; hope Ally is snug in her blanket! Amy; you've been quiet lately, miss you! Wave to all other posters We had salmon and salad for dinner last night, Coho (red) wild salmon from Alaska, anything else isn't really salmon to me lol! We are going to dd's in-laws's house (like barb, just a few miles away) for dinner at 2. I'm making feta stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto for an appetizer. I saw it on a morning tv show, hope they are good!
