Good morning friends,
Thanks for the back pain commiseration. I found some exercises online which are very much like the yoga postures I do, so I did them this morning and plan to do them every morning, either those or a yoga set from YouTube. We're off yoga for the next month anyway.
DH will drive up to south Alabama today for a Celebration of Life for a girl friend he had long ago. It bothered me at first, but he really wants to see her daughter who was just 9 when they broke up and she's in her 50s now. He is a person who very much dwells in his past, with his old friends and memories. He's always been that way. I can't compete so I just let him be. He gets very upset when anyone dies, even someone he hasn't seen for many years. I'm sure it's related to the fact that his mother died when he was 15, and the younger of his two sisters died when he was in his 20s. Then of course his sister Nancy passed last year and his good friend left us earlier this year. And my John in November. Sorry for the sadness here.
I've got 20 addresses in Tampa for my postcards. They have to be mailed by Monday. So I'll work on those today and tomorrow and maybe clean the kitchen floor.
Hugs to you all.

Good morning!
Maryenne, I understand how you feel about your DH dwelling a lot in the past. Mine seems to do the same. I thought perhaps it was the fact that he's getting older, and I know that is on his mind a lot. It bothered me at first too, but like you I've just learned to accept that it is a part of who he is and not take it personally. Maybe men just tend to do that more?
Lynn, is your reunion this weekend?
Esther, hope you are looking forward to a good weekend.
If any of you are needing rain, I wish I could share. We have been more than blessed with it lately. There's a 96% chance of more today, and rain is in the forecast still everyday until Wednesday. I'm getting sick and tired of rain and gloomy skies. We had planned to go to the Farmers' Market this morning, but with the weather looking like rain is about to start at any minute decided against it. We will get out for lunch later just to get out of the house.
Shopping this weekend is definitely not a good idea unless you have kids about to start back to school as this weekend is a sales tax holiday on school supplies, computers, clothes, etc. Anything that might be needed for a new school year doesn't have sales tax on it this weekend, and since our sales tax is almost 10% that can add up especially for families with several kids. School here begins in early August.
Waving to you all!
