Good morning everyone from gloomy Tennessee! Maryenne, we were posting at the same time, so I deleted mine and copied here.
Once again we have a gloomy, damp, humid day with more rain predicted. This is really unusual for this time of year. Normally our rain is mostly in the spring, and this time of year should be our driest season with an occasional pop-up thunderstorm. I'm tired of the rain, but on the plus side it definitely cuts down on the water bill from our sprinklers.
With the weather like this it's not very conducive for wanting to get out and about so we have no plans for the day. I have some thick pork chops with gravy and potatoes in the crock pot. It's going to be a lazy day for us, but a good day to read. DD is supposed to bring my car back later today. I must admit that I have missed it more than I thought I would.

Good morning! The reunion was last night and we had a lovely time. Our “favors” were a bookmark and a refrigerator magnet with the school colors (brown, gold and white) and the symbol- a lighthouse. It’s a good thing we had our yearbook pictures as name tags, although many people mentioned that the names could be larger- LOL! I bought a beautiful pair of earrings the other day. We went to a small shop in our little village and I fell in love with a pair made bu a local artist with RI sand in the design. I rarely buy anything for myself and I am so glad I did! They were stunning with the dress I wore last night. maryenne , I find myself thinking about my past, too. especially people who we’re important at one time but are no longer in my life. It also makes me feel more of a connection to the people who are in my life now and their importance, This includes our little group here! nashville11 , I commiserate about the gloomy weather. It certainly affects our mood and motivation. It’s beautiful here sunny and not humid. Maybe I can send it your way! Waving to Esther. Have a peaceful day. Lynn |
