I hope you get your power back soon maryenne

I submitted my request to not teach the freshman/sophomore class at the university a couple of weeks ago. It is one less stress in my life right now. I am looking forward to spending more time with my family. And to do things that bring me enjoyment. I will continue with the student teachers, at least for this year but most of that work is in the spring.

Maryenne, fingers crossed you get your power back soon. So glad you've got a generator to keep your food from spoiling. Is that also able to power your AC?

Lynn, taking more time for yourself is a good idea. This is the time of life that we really need to do all those things that we once said we would do "someday". Someday has come, and it's time to enjoy.

Esther, how are things going for you? I hope you're enjoying your family and music.

My cleaning lady is here, and I've been listening to her singing to herself as she works. She's really a very nice Mexican lady. Her English is not the best, but it's getting better all the time. She works really hard, and is always so cheerful. I'm grateful to have found her. Later we'll go somewhere for a simple lunch. As is typical for August, it's extremely hot and it's humid, but the sunshine is beautiful.

We got our power back around noon. I had gone out to the grocery just to be in AC and charge my phone in the car. By the time I got back, DH had everything back where it was supposed to be.
