Hello!
I've been out to tutor at the branch library this morning. It's quite warm outside. I'm going to make myself a sandwich for lunch and then roast some grape tomatoes for a pasta thing for dinner.
Hope you all are well and staying cool!

Good afternoon! We had a great time with our friends last night. A simple dinner of grilled burgers, corn, salad and a berry pie for dessert. Our bedroom AC unit is acting up and DH is attempting a third repair on it. Luckily the temperature and humidity have decreased overnight, so we won’t need it for the next few days. It needs to be replaced and I was hoping it would last for a few weeks until the fall sales. DS sent pictures of two of the bedrooms completely painted- they look great! Joyce, you are so right about the time being now for enjoying things. I had that conversation with DH a few weeks ago. He loves to garden and we just can’t do that in RI any more due to the deer, bears, wood chuck, etc. Our plan is to remodel the greenhouse here in MA for next year and to spend most of the summer up here. No deer in the garden here, a few moles and voles but for the most part they don’t bother the garden. Just some turtles that come up from the river to lay their eggs. I am happy to share my space with nature- i just don’t want to provide a banquet- LOL! maryenne , I love to make pasta with fresh produce! We made a pasta primavera last week with fresh tomatoes, zucchini, onions and pepper. MMM. Waving to Esther, hoping that the heat and humidity have abated for her. Have a peaceful day. Lynn

Good afternoon!
Maryenne, I agree that your pasta dish sounds great for dinner tonight using the grape tomatoes. I love those! I'm usually not a huge fan of tomatoes, but I love those little grape ones.
Lynn, spending your summers in MA sounds like a really good plan. The turtles coming up to lay their eggs sounded so nice. How close are you to the river?
Esther, hope you're having a good day!
We went up to my hometown and changed out the flowers on my family's graves. Today would be my mom and dad's 76th wedding anniversary and Tuesday would be my dad's 97th birthday. We also ate at a fairly new little hometown restaurant there which was very good. We'll definitely eat there again.

Hello friends
We finally got some relief from the heat. We got a soaking rain and milder temperatures. I played French baroque music with a friend this morning. Beautiful stuff!
This afternoon I prepaid my funeral expenses. I have been wanting to get that done so that my children don’t have to pay for it when I die.
This weekend some friends took me to Tanglewood to hear Beethoven on Sunday. That was a great day.
Waving to all Esther
