What’s on your mind — how to make kugel? This week’s Torah reading? Life goals? Prayer? We are all engaged in weight loss/weight maintenance journeys and we are all Jewish or at least interested in Judaism. We like to eat, we like to discuss. It is our goal here to provide each other support on our journeys, to share experiences, to call on our rich cultural heritage and texts, and to help each other grow spiritually.
Some of us take weekly turns starting the thread:
Frieda (hopefully)? Holly Lee Louise Lynne Peachy
And for those of you that stop by to read this thread without posting — you are welcome to, but you are also welcome to chime in. Don’t be shy!

Good morning! Let’s continue on with our Would You Rather fun in relation to food. Here’s today’s question: If you had to eat either ice cream or pizza for a day (but not both), which would you choose? Assume there would be no immediate or lasting side effects or health issues (like heartburn or a tummyache or blood sugar problems). Once you’ve made your choice, what flavors/types would you indulge in for that day?
Pizza has been my favorite food for most of my life, but I think I’d go with the ice cream option. My favorite flavor of all time is banana ice cream with mini marshmallows in it. We used to walk to Thrifty’s to get cheap ice cream cones, and that was one of the most popular flavors. I haven't been able to find it in ages, and I miss it.
I also really like chocolate chip, mint chip, cookies & cream, orange cream (orange sherbet swirled with vanilla ice cream), and rainbow sherbet. I’m not that much of a chocolate fan, but when I was pregnant, I craved rocky road ice cream from Baskin-Robbins, because theirs is dark chocolate, and that’s what I wanted. I was doing temp work at the time, and whenever I got a new assignment, I’d scout around for the nearest Baskin-Robbins and go get a scoop at lunchtime.
How about you?

Maybe in the winter I would go for the pizza but right now it would be ice cream for sure. I was so disappoited when I was going to treat myself to an ice craem down the block and it turned out they had changed their brands - not just different flavors than I was craving but not good. BOO! I love a really good vanilla with "stuff" in it. Same for coffee (mmm jamoca almond fudge which I haven't had in ages). And Edy's had one called French Silk that they stopped making despite it being so popular - would love some of that!

Ice cream. Hands down. I may have "outgrown" pizza; haven't wanted to "indulge," even not wanted to taste some pizza in a coupla decades. Some kinds of chocolate would definitely be at the top of my list. I remember jamocha almond fudge; I used to love it! Wasn't it at Baskin Robbins? There's another ice creamery (is that a real word?) whose name (baruch hashem) I can't think of right now. This store (I know there's at least one in the San Diego area, and thankfully, not too close to where I live) had almost a gazillion flavors all together, and many of them were in the general category of chocolate. I picked one (only a few years ago; $5 for one scoop) and was in heaven...

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all well and SAFE! Please pray for Israel.
Re today's topic: I love pizza, especially homemade, but I love ice cream more, especially chocolate.
Have a peaceful day, Lee

Being vegan it would be tomato pie (I don't love vegan cheese) with vegetables on it which I love, or plant milk ice cream which is only OK for the most part. I'd have to say the tomato pie then. With ice cream for dessert!!
