What’s on your mind — how to make kugel? This week’s Torah reading? Life goals? Prayer? We are all engaged in weight loss/weight maintenance journeys and we are all Jewish or at least interested in Judaism. We like to eat, we like to discuss. It is our goal here to provide each other support on our journeys, to share experiences, to call on our rich cultural heritage and texts, and to help each other grow spiritually.
Some of us take weekly turns starting the thread:
Frieda (hopefully)? Holly Lee Louise Lynne Peachy
And for those of you that stop by to read this thread without posting — you are welcome to, but you are also welcome to chime in. Don’t be shy!

Hello everyone! Today is National Book Lovers Day – as we are called the “people of the book,” that sounds like an appropriate thing to celebrate.
A lighthearted "would-you-rather" question in honor of Shabbat: would you rather have a talking refrigerator that offers food suggestions or a talking microwave that tells jokes while heating your food? I think I’ll go with the talking microwave – I can always use some levity in my life!
Thank you all for your participation this week. Shabbat shalom!

Fun week, Peachy! Thanks.
I'd also go for the joking microwave, as long as the jokes are funny (and not dumb ones)...
Gut Shabbos / Shabbat Shalom, all.

How are you coming up with these things? I would go with the talking refrigerator - maybe it could give me a shopping list too. I hope things are going okay with your DS and with dealing with the fallout of the ordeal. Shabbat shalom.

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all well and SAFE! Please pray for Israel.
Re today's topic: Actually, the thought of talking appliances leaves me cold.
Thanks for a good week, Peachy!
Everyone have a peaceful day, Lee
