Over 60 and Still Working/Monday

Good morning friends,

I woke up at 4 with pain from a UTI that started over the weekend. I've been able to get a 10 a.m. appointment with the NP, then waiting for the RX. I wish they had just ordered the RX. I've written some vote by mail postcards and will drop them at a post office while I'm out.

Maryenne, I hope the antibiotic will work quickly for your UTI. Those can really make you feel terrible.

Lynn and Esther, hope you are both off to a good start to your week.

It looks like a lovely day here. I'm so glad the gloom is over. I don't think I could live somewhere that got a lot of gray, cloudy days. I just need sunshine or else it really affects my mood. Today I'm doing home chores including laundry, etc. Just the normal kind of stuff with nothing exciting. My ice maker has stopped dispensing, so I called a repairman about that who is supposed to come tomorrow. DGD's friend is on my mind this morning. She's having surgery for a broken pelvis. Like DGD she is 13 and a sweet girl. A golf cart rolled over on top of her. So scary! Really hoping that all will go well.

Like Joyce I have a few things to do around the house today. we head back to RI for a few days tomorrow. I have dentist and eye doctor appointments and DH has a retired firefighter bbq. The house is coming along beautifully. The bedrooms are all painted. The kitchen, living room and hall are next.

We have less humid weather so I am more comfortable.
Last night I saw one of the Perseid meteors in the sky. Very exciting.
