Good morning friends,
Joyce, I didn't realize that I missed posting here yesterday and you were all by yourself! DH and I binge-watched old episodes of Vera and we ate ribs on tv trays. It was a relaxing day.
I'll tutor today and try to stay out of the heat as much as possible.

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, no worries! I've been meaning to watch Vera, but haven't yet. I'll try to make a point of it now since you must think it is good. As for ribs, I've ordered some from DGS's golf team. I think I'm supposed to pick them up next Friday afternoon.
Lynn, I think you are probably in RI now.
Esther, hope all is going well. How is Don doing? Did everything get straightened out about his Medicaid?
We had a few sprinkles and some wind early this morning, but now it looks like it has cleared off and the sun is shining. I'm glad because this is DD's moving day. Moving is hard enough without having to do it in the rain. Her movers were supposed to be there at 7:00 this morning, so hopefully all is going smoothly. The DGKs slept here last night, and I got them off to school this morning. They'll be going home this afternoon to a new house. They've been in the one they are leaving since they were almost 3 and 5 years old. They're excited about the move though, so that is good. DH has physical therapy this morning, and then we're going over after lunch to empty out their refrigerator and bring the food to the new house for them. They're leaving their old refrigerator with the house they are selling.
Wishing you each a lovely day!

Good evening We had a whirlwind trip to RI- bbq for DH, two appointments for me. All worked out well. We went bed shopping and walked out of Mattress Firm- really didn’t care for the salesperson’s attitude- rude, cocky, “I’ll tell you what you need. Don’t tell me” Oh yeah- went right to a regional furniture store. The salesperson was great- asked a lot of questions, took some measurements on our sleep styles, showed us several options. We tried two that we narrowed it down to and then chose one. We haven’t been bed shopping for an entire bed in a long time- just box springs and mattresses. Oh my- how things have changed! Long story short- our cat will think he’s at Disney World! There are under frame lights for nighttime lighting so we can walk around without turning lights on, the head and foot of the bed go up and down, there are USB chargers in the frame so we can charge the phones at bedside. I paid less for my first car than we did for the bed and bedding. But my first car was a real “treasure”- LOL. We are very pleased and it will probably be delivered in a week or so. I just need to check with the electrician about the lighting in the bedroom and those closets. That was our adventure in RI. We go back Tuesday this coming week and the following Tuesday- one overnight each time. Joyce, your daughter is fortunate that you can keep the grandkids and help out with the food transportation. I am sure she and your son in law appreciate it! Esther, waving to you and hoping things are well in your world. maryenne , I also did not stop by here yesterday- two appointments and bed shopping wore me out! Your day sounds very relaxing! Now I want some ribs- LOL! Have a peaceful evening. Lynn

mooselady12, that's quite a bed! I'm sure you are going to love it. I really like the idea of the lights and the USB ports.

Hello friends
Lynn Your new bed sounds like quite a contraption. I was thinking about getting a new one, but something simpler.
Joyce Your DD is fortunate to have your help with her move.
Maryenne I hope you are comforted by the scattering of John’s ashes and the visit with James and family.
Donald’s guardianship was renewed by the court for another year. His prognosis is fair. He is having trouble finding his clothes. He can’t remember that he has a closet. He asks me how my dog is which makes me very sad. She died four years ago and he doesn’t remember that.
