What’s on your mind — how to make kugel? This week’s Torah reading? Life goals? Prayer? We are all engaged in weight loss/weight maintenance journeys and we are all Jewish or at least interested in Judaism. We like to eat, we like to discuss. It is our goal here to provide each other support on our journeys, to share experiences, to call on our rich cultural heritage and texts, and to help each other grow spiritually.

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all well and SAFE! Please pray for Israel.

Today's topic: Having fun by yourself.

What do you do for fun by yourself? For me, I read, listen to music, use the computer, or watch TV. Often I just sit and stare out the window.

How about you?

PS --- My lab tests (including driving and parking) went well yesterday. I need to return on Thursday, so I will do the lead today.

It depends on how much time I have... If I take a lunch break and am alone, I might watch something I've recorded that DH isn't interested in watching (on TV). Other times I might surf the web, or virtually go to a museum or another type of collection place (like an aquarium) to peruse the treasures there. There are a few magazines I subscribe to online and I seem to collect recipes from them more than read the articles...

I love to read and listen to music. I do logic problems and Anacrostics in physical puzzle books, and I do jigsaw puzzles and play Scrabble, Sodoku and various other games on my phone. Like Lee, sometimes I sit quietly and look out the window, or meditate, or clear my mind and have happy thoughts.

I am a huge fan of Wordle and Spelling Bee, and like Peachy, I really enjoy acrostics. I read a great deal. I’m a big fan of bathing , as opposed to showering. I meditate while the tub fills up. I sit outside in the shade when weather permits, and that to me is a huge luxury.

I love to read. I also crochet. I wait for the new puzzles every night in the Times - I do wordle, the mini crossword, and the sudoku puzzles religiously. I play solitaire on the computer shamelessly.
