What’s on your mind — how to make kugel? This week’s Torah reading? Life goals? Prayer? We are all engaged in weight loss/weight maintenance journeys and we are all Jewish or at least interested in Judaism. We like to eat, we like to discuss. It is our goal here to provide each other support on our journeys, to share experiences, to call on our rich cultural heritage and texts, and to help each other grow spiritually.
Some of us take weekly turns starting the thread:

And for those of you that stop by to read this thread without posting — you are welcome to, but you are also welcome to chime in. Don’t be shy!

Shechinah Chana Bell 1977 Los Angeles
Chana Bell introduces the image of the Shechinah, the feminine aspect of God, in her poem of welcome to the Sabbath…
Perched on our shoulders a colorful butterfly you whisper into pores shabbat’s sweetness
we breathe you in breathe the week out take in roundness letting go of sharp angles
we breathe in the neshamam yiteira the soul of the world to come in awe we sway not march
As we kindle shabbat candles you glide into our dark corners warming us dissolving our dense bodies into light
Gut Shabbes / Shabbat Shalom, all.

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all well and SAFE! Please pray for Israel.
I am having a difficult time trying to get Zepbound at a price my family can afford. I've been on the phone and the computer most of the morning, and am feeling upset and shaky. DS is trying to help, and we are going to spend some time together in a little while having lunch and probably playing a game.
Have a peaceful rest of the day, Lee
