tootles it's gorgeous! I miss having a camper, but we had the condo. Our next big buy is going to be an ultralight truck bed camper so we can take the boat too.

We thought about that combo too Gyps. DHs truck just isn’t quite big enough for it to feel safe. Since we have no intentions of buying a new truck to the tune of 80k+ we went with our 19 foot ultra lite instead.
DDs SUV can pull the boat. If we go too far I’ll tow the boat with her car and DH can pull the camper.
For now we are going to spend most of our time at the close lake. We’ll take the camper first. While I’m unpacking DH is going to come back and get the boat. It’s less than a 30 minute drive.
It takes a lot of work and planning to have fun doesn’t it? 😂

tootles ,can you share pics of the rest of the inside? Does it have slide outs? We are thinking about a travel trailer for when we retire. We had a 34' when the 4 kids were still home but we are think we should go smaller for just the two of us.

Prin - so cute about the toddler. Hope the new baby is here soon. Tootles - very pretty! Yoga, yard work, kids to a birthday party and now DH and I are on our way to my friend’s divorce party - a first for me

grovers39. I’ll send more pics tomorrow. I’m in my laxin’ clothes now so can’t go outside. We bought what is considered a “couples camper”. We intentionally bought what would be easy for just the two of us to handle without any wasted space for bunks or large inside gathering areas. It does have a small slide that makes it feel roomy. But even when closed there is plenty of space to get around so the slide wasn’t really necessary. I think I would have been fine without it. We learned our lesson with our live aboard boat we used to have. As awesome as it was, it was too big considering it was just the two of 90% of the time.

Morning
Watching the firey red sun rise
Also this is a first that taking the boat out and winterizing everything went smooth and DH didn't have a temper Tantrum. We still need to wash and clean the inside
Yesterday was 15 at the farmers market. Today who knows

Morning Ners and ATF ☀️ Ners, glad it went well! It's dumping buckets here, I ran out to get the sump pump ready if DH has to pump off the pool. We're going to get another hurricane this week too. Ground is already saturated here. gtrgirl I hope Milton takes it easy on you down there. Had a great time on the boat yesterday. Enough cloud cover that the sun wasn't frying your brain, but it was too warm for fishing to be much good. DH caught 2 catfish and that was it. tootles It will just be the 2 of us as well. DH keeps waffling about actually wanting one, saying it's easier to stay in a hotel. We'll see. Right now I'm working too much to even worry about it.

What a beautiful morning Gypsy3n8! You can stay in a lot of hotels for the cost of a camper. Your DH might be onto something since you are so close to the water and would have access to a lot of hotels with a water view and access. My lakes don't have a motel within 50 miles. Winterizing is never fun Hotness77, nice that it went reasonably easy for you this year. Looks like we have about 10 more days of good weather before we have to winterize. I'm heading to the grocery this morning and then camping this afternoon. The wind has finally simmered down so it should be a nice day.

Good morning. Yesterday ended up being a good one - slow and relaxing with some socializing that I didn't realize I needed. Did a quick grocery shop ($60ish) and then went to DGS's football game ($3 to get in). After that, met up with a couple of friends at one of our favorite establishments ($21) and home and in bed by 10:30. We made our reservations for Wednesday for our delicious steak dinner, and talked about canceling our Florida trip depending on the weather. We'll see what happens after this storm goes through. Gypsy3n8 and sherrydorlando2 - stay safe! In other news, DD is off to urgent care this morning. Little DGS was sent home with 102 fever on Thursday and then she got sick. He's totally fine, but she woke up this morning sicker than a dog (coughing, congestion). Of course I've been around all of them, so I'm just sitting here drinking Emergen-c and crossing my fingers. Later today, I'll go over there to drop off some stuff I bought, and to pick up either one or both of the boys to take them to Sam's Club with me. tootles, I love the camper! That kitchen looks better than mine

Good Morning Ladies: Today is a play with the ladies. It is The Odd Couple--played by women. Should be a hoot. Been raining all morning here. I hope it stops before I have to leave. Prin, I remember praying for toddler naps---and especially you needing one when they take one. Gyp, we pulled our boat behind our motor home....or our horse trailer depending on what the weekend was about. Best of both worlds. Tootles, once the camper is stocked up with staples and frozen goods and clothes, etc, you just have to walk out the door with 0 notice to go anywhere you want. I didn't have to even carry a lipstick to it let alone cleaning/household supplies or paper goods. Spiff, burning sage for you. Grands keep us sick a LOT. Ners, glad the winterizing went well. I know about men and whiney boat fits.

DD tested negative for Covid, strep, and the flu. They gave her a breathing treatment and a prescription for a steroid and inhaler. Going over there to drop off stuff on her doorstep and probably doing Sam's next weekend.

Thanks for all of the camper tips. I'm taking notes! I decided to add the rodent insurance on the camper. It was only $17 for 10k of coverage. It's worth the peace of mind considering I recently had a mouse in my house and a scurry of squirrels decided to call my ground and garage home. If the trailer is new, it should have a ten-year warranty on the roof. Hail is your worst enemy for the roof. That and UV rays. Definitely for this part of the country. I never had mice in AZ. Well, we did pick up a couple while out camping that the cats alerted us to. Peanut Butter did the trick. Now I buy the peppermint bags and toss them everywhere in the trailer. Mice can ruin the wiring before you get to use it. When plugging holes use steel wool. Little buggers eat right through foam. Those trailers are full of tiny spots the mice can get in to. Turn a light on and send DH underneath to see all the holes that need plugging. You don't need to leave the heat on. Leave it plugged in for the lights, that's it. But, with the winds you are talking about park it against the side of the garage tight. Wind gets under them so easy, and they become air born. That's why we have ours next to the garage. Our driveway sits four feet above the neighbor's yard. If a bad wind came through here that thing would take off.
