We have rain again today. I wish I could send it to some of you in the northeast who seem to need it with the wildfires going on there. It's cooler today as well.
It's always just Nick & I for Thanksgiving, and we usually go out but have decided to stay home this year. I'm not cooking, but ordered from a local catering service yesterday. I'll pick it up the afternoon of the 27th, and then just reheat Thanksgiving Day. We did that the Covid year, and the food was very good. There are so few restaurants open here on Thanksgiving, that I think this will be a better choice.
Today I'm picking up DGD after school cheer practice and taking her to tumbling then afterwards home. DD is out of town for work all week.
My Woman's Club lunch meeting yesterday was nice, and I was surprised to see an old friend there. I think she is going to join, so I was happy about that. Our daughters were best friends growing up, Maid of Honors in each other's weddings, etc., but her daughter has lived in Alabama for years now so I rarely see my friend anymore.
