Hi All,
Rented and watched the Absolutely Fabulous Movie with DD. It was funny, had call backs for people who watched the series but is really a "fan" movie. If you didn't watch the series I don' think it would be any good.
Tracked well yesterday. The office has a lot of sabotage snacks so I need to get my mind made up not to indulge. I think that because I don't like my job I think I "deserve" a snack. I will bring alternatives and try and keep my eye on my goals.
There is a gentle yoga class at my gym that I might be able to go to this evening. My muscles are a little sore so it would probably be a good choice.
DD hit a deer with her car on Friday night. She is OK and the car can be repaired so she is driving a rental. We have a lot of deer around here and they just jump right in front of cars sometimes. Lucky she was not going very fast. One jumped into the side of my son's car once and it was stopped.
Dutch I hope you have a safe drive to work in the snow!
HAGD everyone!
Amy
Ally, I hope you made the drive into wor

Good morning -Amy - glad DD is ok -when i was working (insurance agent) I had so many clients who had deer accidents -we do have a lot of them in our area -even our backyard & at the barn/trail but have never hit one! I have never taken a yoga class -keep saying I might try it -Faye -glad your weekend w/ DD was fun -are you carpeting the whole house?
Off to gym/Y -then barn - we may try to ride again! then groceries (never got there yestereday) and pack -got my Southwest boarding -even at the exact time I got B6 & A54 for the 2 legs -going thru Baltimore -so that may be interesting according to weather!

AMY- so glad DD is ok. we have a lot of deer here, too. and geese. Some deer seem to watch when they cross but a lot just dart out and they are fast. I also have to watch that "deserve" a snack thing too. We ate out a lot over the weekend but doing ok. didn't track but if I can not snack between meals I'm fine. So that's my goal. One small 4-5 point snack at 3 and nothing til dinner. if I can stop the habit of grazing til dinner I should be back on track. I did track this AM and already tracked dinner so I do plan to track. I fall off the "food wagon" between 3 and dinner so that's what I need to watch.
BARB-gorgeous dish on FB.

Hi All, I couldn't find the key to my tack room yesterday! So frustrating, I wanted to ride. I have halters and lunge lines in the barn, so both girls got cleaned up and lunged. Lucy is the kind of horse that you don't have to lunge, so she never really got taught how to do it. I had to go really slow with her-could tell she was confused. If she is going to be a lesson horse, she needs to know how to lunge! Will be working on that. I later found the key after searching on the ground, in all my pockets, etc.... in a spot I used to keep keys years ago. I'm reverting lol! Today is this first day it will hit 40 degrees in 3 weeks! Which of course means rains coming in. Hopefully, I can ride/work with the girls before it starts! There is still ice everywhere. I need to get the shop vac out and vacuum the kitchen area now that the sheet rock is done. Really dusty. Then buy paint HAGD everyone!

DD hit a deer with her car on Friday night. She is OK and the car can be repaired so she is driving a rental. We have a lot of deer around here and they just jump right in front of cars sometimes. Lucky she was not going very fast. One jumped into the side of my son's car once and it was stopped. The morning of my DFs funeral a deer ran into the doors of DH's bus and knocked out the windows in it. Yes they are very fast and stupid sometimes. -got my Southwest boarding Have a safe and wonderful time going to FL tomorrow. Today is this first day it will hit 40 degrees in 3 weeks! The last 3-4 days has been up into the 70s which is NOT normal for us at this time of year. We're expecting rain tomorrow and the next 10 days. I have been doing the Intuitive Eating method which is really listening to your body and what it wants and doesn't want. I have found that my body cravings and my mind cravings are not necessarily the same thing. I'm stopping and thinking 'Am I really hungry or just mentally hungry?" This has helped curb some of the mindless snacking I have done in the past. I DESERVE a healthy body not a junk food mind.

Ally, I hope you made the drive into wor haha! too cute! I made it to work - sheet of snow/ice! Normal 40 min drive was 1.15hrs. But all is well... now just to get home! Freezing rain predicted tomorrow... so, ya, staying home. I think Ally is also DONE with snow. Still has a nice belly, so all is well there! amy I'm glad your DD is ok!! Scary stuff!

Hi, all...catching up on posts! Faye, so, when do you get the harp back? Is she still working on the buzz? Glad you had a good time w/DD but sorry about traffic, it is stressful! Barb, have a fun time in FL...hope the weather is nicer there than in the Northeast. It's gotta be, right? Amy, glad DD is OK after run-in with deer. Hope the damage wasn't too significant! Good on you for treating yourself well! Glad you got to jump in the last lesson as well. Beth, now that your knee is feeling better, are you walking again? Or waiting a bit more first? Any requests your working on? Libby, glad the drywall is all up and cleaned the area (wait until you get countertops...are you getting granite or something that needs to be cut and/or sanded? THAT dust is the worst! It's like mud!). Hope they can use thinner paint on the cabinets to match what you have. Work that Lucy girl! The workshop was fun, not an art show (although I did take a picture at the end and post on FB, might have looked like a show). This woman teachers differently which is fine with me, but the friend I took it with has been with our old teacher longer and she had some problems accepting the differences. She left halfway through the second day. I did get frustrated but kept working at it, almost done and will post when done. Today have to go get cat meds. She's run out of pain stuff, I didn't renew as soon as I should have Cathy

Cathy - are you going to post some of the work from the workshop? I finally packed - and while I'm not going for a vacation - I probably over packed -just a bit -but did get it all in one small-ish suitcase! Didn't ride- was only 24 & windy when I went out -but the other woman who boards there (not Dee) is taking Penny out so her daughter can ride her horse - this is the woman who let me use her other horse (before she was put down) when I had riding friends visit. She had ridden Penny before - usually in her western saddle -Penny looks very cut in it!
Ok- will try to stop by from my phone or borrowed internet as i can - HAGW(eek) - everyone stay safe -

BARB-have a good trip. CATHY-harp still with tech. will get it Sunday. hopefully she will have tracked down the buzz. may have to do with the pickup but it's under warranty. just want it back Interesting to see different techniques but sometimes too different is not great. BETH-boy that is warm. weird weather. we're supposed to get close to 50 end of the week. LIBBY-hate all that dust.
doing 2 rooms downstairs-playroom and harp room which is a small bedroom.

Hi All, Had a blah day. Forgot the smoothie mix, burned microwave popcorn, ended up eating animal cookies a Hershey kiss and 2 slices of cheese, and some other not so great stuff. I had a headache too. Tomorrow is another day and I will try again. I am going to order some Chinese food for dinner. Time to try and bounce back, tomorrow is another day.

Hi All, Wow, I had a headache still when I wrote that last post. Apparently I was so sure tomorrow is another day I wrote it twice. LOL
I am feeling better this morning. I went back and to the best of my ability tracked yesterdays "food". I now gave myself a job trying to recover before WI on Friday. I am going to go to the food store today. I am very hungry for protein so I ate 2 eggs for breakfast. I work in the afternoon today but can have lunch before I go.
Just looked out my window and there is a dead deer laying in my backyard. Sigh, I guess I 'll call the township when they open.
Dutch- Ice is the worst! glad you made it to work safe!
Barb- I understand over packing a little, it has paid off more then once but I have really tried to cut back. Hope the trip goes well.
Faye- Are you happy with the carpet color choice? Sounds like you had to compromise? Hope the harp stops buzzing. Let's both have a better day today!
Beth- crazy weather! We are going to be in high 40's this week which I love but 70 would be too hot. I also worry about the horses if the change gets too big too quick. Above freezing is my favorite temp in the winter. Do you eat any time of day when you are hungry or do you wait to have dinner with DH?
Cathy- The workshop looked like it had a lot of people attend? Hope kitty is doing well and you were able to pick up the meds. I just watched "Mrs. Pettigrew Lives for a Day" on Netflix. and there were harps played in one scene so of course I thought of you and Faye.
Has anyone watched "Victoria" yet? I recorded it but it is over 2 hours! I will probably watch part of it at lunch.
HAGD Amy

Good morning.
Amy-I wouldn't worry too much over yesterday's meals. All it will do is stress you out. I mostly try to eat at regular mealtimes but I'm finding that sometimes I'm just not that hungry and will delay my meal about an hour until I feel the real hunger. Both DH and I are cutting our portions back. We still eat anything we want, just in smaller portions. Sorry about the dead deer. Was it hunting related? If you are talking about the PBS Victoria yes I watched it Sunday night. It's a mini series.
Barb-safe traveling.
Faye-glad you have the spare harp to practice with.
Cathy-you are a woman of many talents. Painting, harping, swimming.
Libby-what color paint are you thinking about?
Dutch-I don't blame you for staying home if you are getting freezing rain/sleet, icy conditions.

Hi all Not even daylight here and it's sprinkling. I'll check on Ally in an hour or so when I have daylight. I'm sure she's fine. 30 degrees here, they say it feels 22... and liquid coming from the heavens - ya, we're all staying home safe!
Have a great day all!

DUTCH-yes, be safe. hope it warms up a bit and you can check on Ally but be careful with ice AMY-no compromise. it's actually very similar to my bedroom carpet so we laughed that I like the same thing and gravitate toward it. it's ordered. i've emptied a lot of stuff so maybe by end of month i can have it. one room at a time even though ordered both, no where to put everything if all the same day. how are you liking yoga? sorry about the deer. Yes, I'm tracking and hopefully will have a better day BARB -have a good flight. BETH-sounds like big changes in temp by you. LIBBY-good luck with the kitchen.
yoga later. Waving to all. HAGD

Hi, all! Faye, wow...not until Sunday? It IS good you have another harp, but yeah, need to get the buzz sorted out. I think when I was with the teacher last week, we found a string where I need to recheck the lever as the "sharp" wasn't on. I guess when you learn something new, you have to repeat things Amy, yeah, I kind of blew it this weekend. Without exercise, and then I bought cookies for the workshop but forgot to take them in, so guess who's eating them??? AND it showed on the scale yesterday. Was better yesterday and today I swim, so hope to get some exercise! You can do it...one day is not a habit! Beth, it sounds like you and DH have your eating habits down...good for you! My portions aren't the problem, it's the snacking after dinner (Libby has mentioned this as well). So you have to wonder, what am I doing wrong for dinner? Or is it boredom? Barb, have a good flight to FL! Libby, that's a good idea, getting a filter specific to the dust. I just used my regular vacuum. I ended up using old sheets placed on top of my living room furniture...got so tired of the dust every day! Good luck! Dutch, stay safe in the ice! Still working on the project from this weekend. Talked to my old teacher yesterday and she said it looked good and agreed with me on some of the changes I wanted to make. Sounds like she's doing well, but the other woman in my workshop and I are worried about her...she's moved in with her old boyfriend and I don't think he's the best person for her. They've had their ups and downs, and he SAID he's better, but I think he's kind of a jerk. But that's just me...love can be strange As mentioned, will try to swim today! Need the exercise! Cathy

update: the deer is gone. Game commission came and got it. The guy was a bit grumpy but I don't care as long as he took it with him. I think it looked like it was hit by a car on it's back right flank poor thing.
I have been back on track today with food and no headache so that is good.
Faye- I hope you had a better day too.

Hi, all! The board is quiet today...everyone busy or nothing to report Faye and Amy, glad you both got rid of HAs! Ended up swimming yesterday, but rain has started again...sigh. The state govt was talking about lifting the drought designation...you think? Will try to walk today if I can time it right. Cathy

CATHY-glad you got to swim. I'm exhausted from boxing books and stuff. Carpet coming next week for 1 room then I have the weekend to get things back away and packup the second room (the first one had 4 bookcases so that's why so tiring). and now DH has a cold and fever so was out at 8AM to get cough med etc. then harp lesson and later work out. and gray and raining so not frolicking and having fun. just trying to stay afloat!
hope you have a good day
BARB-have a good time in FL. LIBBY-is the drywall up? did you pick paint?? BETH-hope knee continues to feel ok DUTCH-did you get out to Ally yesterday? AMY-how are the geese? (lesson today was MOrrison's jig--do you know it?)
saw Oprah's cookbook came out. got not so great reviews-said very point heavy dinners and doesn't give a serving size. I did see on TV she said she eats salad for lunch and likes 15 point dinners because she likes wine. and truffle oil--seriously, has anyone every tried truffle oil? Anyway, I got the People mag with her on it so curious what it says.

I'm jealous of people being able to go swimming. I did go feed Ally 2x yesterday- pasture still all white this morning! At least the water was not frozen solid! She's fine. Now we can worry about flooding. My home is on high ground, so that's no worry for me.

Horse shoe r to be here any minute. It's been really quite w/o Heidi and her horses here. I've been messing with the pump all morning, it keeps getting clogged with junk - typing to dry out the arena. Will have to get more creative with a screen or something! WCBL

DUTCH-glad you are on high ground. BETH-hope you got your errands done LIBBY-did you figure out the pump issue? hope so. did Lucy and Rosie get shoes? CATHY-Victoria picked up pretty quickly . AMY-or did you ask about Victoria? anyway, it's pretty good!
Tech found the buzz, it was her tools picking up the vibration from the harp. Once she moved theharp it went away. Now DH is sick and hope we can go Sunday. He's going to the dr. tomorrow. always something.
