Good morning. Had a very quiet day as it was raining most of the day. Most of the rain has passed and now the cool/cold weather will be here all week. Had a good church service too. Not doing much today either. May read some. My knee is a little achy today. I think it's weather related as DH is complaining about his joints too. HAGD

Hi horse lovers, Going to prison for the last time today (hopefully lol-no more prison jokes) DS is coming over to stay with ds she hasn't seen the kitchen and I'm excited to show her the progress! I was using the tractor yesterday evening to manage manure piles. It took a minute, then I figured out how to scoop effectively lol it's usually dh's job. It's sunny and cold here, glad everyone is out of danger of all the terrible weather going on in the country! HAGD

Hi folks! I'm reading just not much to say. We all know life has its ups and downs, it's just been down for a while (Ally is a ray of sunshine as is my kid), and it's either going to get tough or tougher, I have to make some choices that I don't want to make. I know, Adulting is hard. Sorry, not much to say here I guess.

Hi, all! Had to catch up with everyone's news! Faye, glad you got the harp back and it sounds like a million bucks!! My did too after I regulated it. Glad she showed you how to fix things as needed. Nice that DH is feeling better. No painting this weekend...will go back to my brother's project soon. Amy, glad DH was OK. Stones are no fun (had them back in the 80's...not enough fluid intake). Sorry he had to suffer so, and you had to watch...that's just terrible. And DD! She is just having a bad spell, hope it turns around soon! But glad you're doing well with Lukas. New horses are always a test so enjoy the process Beth, glad your dry eye is doing well, but sad about the possible glaucoma. Hope the test goes well. Yeah, knees and bad weather go hand in hand! Hope you got to walk. Libby, huh...so did you ever hear from DN? Less stress for you (like you don't have enough with the reno) but does seem odd. Glad you got to ride both ponies this weekend. AZ is probably getting a lot of the same weather we are...apparently this is the wettest January this area has had in about 25 years...so glad I moved here 2 years ago Barb, sounds like your parents are like my parents I think they save their bickering for when I come over...and I've told them that! They just laugh? It's a part of their routine...if they didn't have it, they would miss it. Me? I hate listening to it. Glad you're back and Penny enjoyed seeing you! How about Tundra? Dutch, glad all the snow is mostly gone and vacation is still on! So, the power was out Friday morning for 8 hours. After I got back on, there wasn't much to do so kind of a wasted day. Should have gone to a movie! Saturday we went to a VERY small concert given by Greg Kihn, an old rocker from the 80's. Not my cup of tea, but a friends wife is a big fan so we teaser her all night. Sunday managed to finish a hike just as the rain started up. Fixed my squeaky bed (antique with conversion rail kit)...was getting very annoying. Today Isabelle the kitty is 16 yo! Hard to believe sometimes she's still here! Doing well all things considered. Also, going to take a break from FB. I've been feeling really negative lately and I think it has to do with the division of the US politically. I really like reading about what friends are doing, but there's all this other stuff to wade through and I need to retreat from it a bit. Cathy

BETH-i feel it in my wrist with the weather and the ribs (and I haven't had that in a long time, it's from the radiation 10 yrs ago and happens in "young active patients" but it's been ok for a while. this must be odd weather. sorry you are feeling it too CATHY-glad you got to hike. Happy Birthday to Isabelle. Sorry about the power going out. Glad you got it back We are expecting a noreaster here. Hope not DUTCH-wishing you well.

The nasty weather is moving in on us! By the time it ends mid day tomorrow we are supposed to have 2-3" snow, then sleet, then rain- then in the 40's the next few days! Dutch - sorry you are having issues-but as it was said here -stay with us -even if you just say "hi" or feel free to share -we have all shared some heavy stuff over the years (some of us have been "together' for over 5+ years) Hang in there & groom Allie a lot!
Cathy - sorry about all your rain - but I guess it;s good for the drought? as long as you don't flood - Beth -yes, guessing aches are weather related.
The political stuff on FB is scary -lots of mis-information -and some is true-ish! We have stayed away from that stuff here (interestingly enough -it was never said we should -we just did) and now is not the time -all I will say it that it is what it is -and we have to live with it for 4 years -just hope for the best.
Stay safe, warm -

Good morning Tuesday BARB-how'd you do with the weather? my trainer emailed that the parking lot was black ice so I stayed home. hope she has something later in the day but in for now. Last thing I need is to slip and fall. BETH-is the knee any better? how's the weather by you? LIBBY-how was the last day in prison? So they sprung ya?? (ok last prison joke) are you still training people? Sorry about the weather in AZ. CATHY-can't blame you for a vacation from FB. it's pretty rough. I just scroll until I see a harp Good luck when you start your brother's picture. AMY-how often do you take a lesson? how is DH? is he feeling ok? I hope the stone passed and he's better. DUTCH-waving gloomy and wet and icy here. almost done packing for the carpet. at least Thursday should be nice weather so that's good. Waving to all. HAGD

Good Morning - Faye - we actually didn't get it as bad as they predicted - about 3-4" snow -might be a bit icy -haven't been out yet- but not the high winds they predicted -they canceled schools -will go out & shovel off the deck while DH does the driveway then head out to barn.
Libby-when is your official last day? you leave next week for AZ? you driving?
Waving to the gang -stay safe/warm -CBL - HAGD

Good morning.
Weather is cold but sunny. Knee is feeling better today.
Faye-I don't blame the trainer for calling off lessons with black ice around.
Barb-did you get a lot of ice too?
Dutch-do you work from home or do you go into an office? I hope the weather is good for you. This board will be here for you should you need it.
Cathy-16 years old is getting up there for a cat. You're a good cat momma.
Libby-do you now have a 'get out of jail card'? Okay like Faye this is the last jail joke.
Amy-how is DH? Did he pass the stone? I have a DB who is having liptotripsy (sp?) today for a stone he can't pass.

Hi All,
Doing well but very distracted lately. Last night I browned ground beef and then added the taco seasoning. Only problem is my intention was not to make tacos LOL. Lucky I had the ingredients to make taco salad on hand so no one knew any different.
DD1 stayed home yesterday but is back to work today. I told her to stay safe. I am sure she will not have to work with the student that attacked her. I am really praying she passes the Irish Dance test in the fall because she can earn a living then doing what she loves. She has a big heart for the kids she works with now but the burn out rate is big in that field.
Faye-I take lessons once a week and get at least 2 practice rides in.
Dutch- please keep reading and say hi when you can! We are all pulling for you.
Libby- It is kind of odd that DN changed her mind. Hope she is doing OK. Glad you are out of prison!
Cathy- Happy Birthday to your kitty! So pretty.
Hi to Beth and Barb
running out of time. Have to get to the office

Dutch-do you work from home or do you go into an office? Both! ha. We get to WFH 2 days a week. I like it. A little social, a little quiet. Saves on gas and sometimes I get stuff done at home. Thank all! Smooches! Stay dry! Stay warm! Ride, pet, groom, smell, or even just watch them ponies!

Hi, all! Faye, I was talking to a co-working yesterday in the Philly area and she was talking about the wind...and I talked about the hail Weather seems to be a hot topic! Nice of trainer to let you know about the ice, have a good workout! Beth, glad the knee is better. Whew...glad I was able to pass my stone on my own! Barb, huh...didn't stay dry, huh? Guess we know what that means But at least Penny got a visit...what a lucky girl! Amy, gee...I wonder why your distracted? Could it be you have a lot on your plate It's OK, life is very cyclic. Hope DD does have a better time of it in class but yeah, it's awful she has to wait so long to get to the dance test. It would be SO nice to work in a field you love!!! Dutch, I kind of miss the days you split your time between office and home. As you say, it's nice to have that "social" time but also nice to get lots done at home when you need to. WFH full-time is a bit of a drag Libby, hope the prison visit went OK...no jokes, all the good ones have been used! Yes, glad you all agree about the political stuff. I realize we all have different views due to our different lives, but it does seem as if a lot of misinformation is being fed to us. Just want to get through the next 4 years in one piece! Didn't get to swim yesterday, which was probably just as well. While swimming in the rain is doable, swimming in hail does not appeal Will try today; it might be clearing up for a bit!! Cathy

Hi all,
I have been doing really bad on food. Fell prey to chocolate yesterday at the office. I am getting back on track again today. I am disappointed in myself but I am not giving up. I am going to a workout class this morning and then out to ride in the early afternoon. The sun is out today and if it is not too windy I will walk outside with Lukas after we do our ring work.
Faye- DD2 had a nice time in NYC. The Waldorf Astoria was lovely and she went to many nice places to eat. The musical, Phantom of the Opera, was a little disappointing but she thinks maybe her expectations were too high since she has heard so much about Broadway Musicals. They had to change some plans due to the protesters and had to walk though them to get back into their hotel mid-day. This was her first trip to NYC and she did enjoy most of it but I think it was just different then she expected.
Cathy- yes I think no swimming in a hail storm is a good rule! Have there been any more landslides?
Barb- I see you are working with your glass again! How many pieces do you fire at once?.
Beth- Sorry the weather is hard on your knee. Have you been doing any embroidery?
Libby- I hope DH is getting some better weather since you all went through so much to travel there. What is the expected finish date for the kitchen?
Dutch- I love the smell of my horse! LOL. Does Ally like to be groomed?
Bought new gym shoes, hope they work well today!
HAGD Amy

Hi, all! Faye, glad workout was good...rain good, ice bad! Amy, I wasn't a fan of Phantom either, maybe for the same reasons. Glad she had a good time, but NYC can be chaotic Hope those new shoes put some extra workouts in your future! Hi to everyone else...must of been a busy day yesterday! Did get to swim yesterday, very quiet at the pool. I had a wide, outside lane and this woman came into the lane and clung to the wall. I asked her later is she was learning to swim and she said 'yes'. Kind of scary to watch as she'd flail around "swimming" for 5 yards then turn back. I told her better late than never! Lots of meetings today, but I hope I can get in a walk. No rain for a week so have to take advantage of it...and no landslides! Cathy

CATHY-wonder if the woman can take swim lessons. i agree, better late than never but hope someone is teaching her AMY-glad DD2 had a good time. same here with Phantom. we were so close and under the chandelier so we felt the flames when they shot up (ask DD) and were under the chandelier when it came down so for us it was exciting. but I agree. I've enjoyed other shows more. I've stayed at the Marriot Marquis and like that and it's in the theater district. also has a theater in it. how is DH? LIBBY-how goes the kitchen? any news on the cabinets? BETH-do you have any exercise equipment in the house when you can't walk outside? BARB-we have sun. so exciting. hope you have a nice time and get to ride. and hope Tundra gets to play too
waving to all. Carpet tomorrow. Very excited!!! HAGD

Hi all - Libby -hope the blanket fits! I have found that the same size can vary by manufacturer! A 72" tough One fits Penny perfectly - while a 72" Schneiders is a bit large -but I love them and am afraid the 70" would be too small -so we have an assortment. But the Tough Ones are great as they have a velcro adjustment at the neck line. Glad you are getting everything organized for your trip.
Faye- didn't ride -icy & windy -and yes Tundra got to the park to play with her friends! On Sunday we will have had her for 1 year! Going to take treats to the park for a "party"! LOL
Amy - yes - starting to work again -depending on the size of the piece usually only one at a time -for the "larger" 7-9". Sometimes I can swing 2 smaller 4-5" pieces at the same time -it's a pain but I can't really justify getting a larger kiln (at least in my mind) as i am doing less & less shows. But I'm still having fun!
Dutch - how tall is Allie now -and what do you think she will finally be?
Cathy - glad you got the swimming in - I did my water aerobics class this morning -I have to say I did feel it by the time it was done- scary about the woman - is there a life guard on duty?
DH is bowling so i have another hour of so of "me time" -going to play in the studio & relax a bit
Waving to all - HAGD - CBL
