Good afternoon. I refilled the bird feeders today. I have 3 of them. In the next week or so the Goldfinches will be migrating through. they really go through the bird seed. I do have some resident Cardinals, Sparrows and Chickadees that stay here all year long. It's a sunny but cool day.
I have a local reaction to the shingle vaccine. It's red, swollen and sore. Dh had no reaction at all. HAGD

LIBBY- have fun in AZ. Happy retirement makes sense since the biopsy was neg. I'm claustrophobic too but MRIs for some reason don't bother me. and for a breast MRI your face down like you were getting a massage so I take a nap. it's very noisy BANG BRRRRR BANG BANG BRRRRR MEEP MEEP MEEP but they give you earplugs. Glad the biopsy was neg. BARB-nice of you to do the shed positioning for your friend. I can picture them just dropping it off where they wanted. CATHY-glad it's sunny. hope the cat is better. had a lovely day with my friends. Waving to all HAGD

Hi All,
the journal was fun the first day. Not much time to do it today but I will fill in the basics.
I spent the whole day helping DD2 at her house. She is setting up a home office since her new job lets her work from home a lot. We assembled a complex L shaped desk with hutch and drawers. It took hours to put it together but we were pretty methodical about it and quite proud of it when were done.
Meanwhile DD1 was at a dance competition in Baltimore and did very well. She is almost done the competing part of her dance life, once she gets her teaching cert. she can't compete any more. She feels fine about that though, she is ready to move on to the next phase.
Thanks for all the support on the office thing. Hopefully on Monday it will not come up again.
Barb, do you cross the leg straps on your blankets or loop one through the other and clip it to the same side? I have had people do it both ways and all are always sure that their way is the best.
Libby- congrats on your true retirement.
Cathy. I hope kitty is doing better. How was the last harp lesson? Are you going to try and do an on line lesson? Hope you can drive without any more "events" getting in the way.
Beth - I am usually pretty low key on my birthday too. I might do something fun this year though I don't know what yet.
Faye- I am glad you had a fun day with friends.
Dutch- When is your trip?
Going to go write in the journal.

Good Morning Sunday! Libby - safe flight & have fun in AZ. Glass the ponies decided the "new" hay was good -at least you get to buy your hay -we have to feed what they buy & to be honest I Know it's not the best -some better than others & the horses definitely see the difference. last year he bought the usual amount from their usual hay person but some of it is very straw-y and the horses leave it -there is some that is really nice & leafy & some in the middle -we (Dee & I -as we fill hay nets for dinner) try to mix it trying to fool them -not happening -there is a lot of waste. We throw a lot of the waste to the cows (which have their own REALLY crappy hay -but apparently cows don't care!) and keep on trying to pick out the better stuff. The past 2 years we actually bought 80 bales of hay on our own to supplement during the winter as it was running out but now the 3rd horse (32+) no longer gets hay so only our 2 are getting it & there is plenty -even if it's not great (but they are holding weight so I guess it's all good!) Cathy -hope you get to SoCal without incidents. Have fun. Amy- it's always nice when you have the indoor to yourself -does your barn have any "rules" about riding (days off, being alone etc?) I know one friend rode at a barn where you could not ride in the indoor if no one else was around (safety issue) Another one has Monday as an off day during show season even if you didn't show. I cross the leg straps & cross across (does that make sense?) It seems to work - actually never heard of the other way! Beth- any shows coming up? Today is the one year anniversary of adopting Tundra! Will take treats to the park to have a "party" for any of her "friends" who are there! Waving to Dutch (go out & play w/ Allie) & Faye HAGD - CBL

Hi All, I had my lesson today and worked hard. Trainer is super picky but that is what I pay him for. When we got to the jumping I couldn't get it right at first he gave me a walk break to get my focus back and then we did fine. Sometimes I get too wound up. Also Lukas was a bit sassy today but he does it in a good way.
Beth- hope you enjoyed church. I am going to the 6pm. the "last chance" Mass. LOL. Putting the desk together yesterday made me miss the vigil Mass yesterday and my lesson made me miss in the morning.
Barb - I always do my leg straps the same way you do it makes more sense to me but when other people do his blanket they sometimes do this thing where you clip the strap to the front and back rings on the same side having passed between his hind legs. then when you do the other side you clip it to the side and feed the end through the loop made by the other strap as you pass it between the hind legs then clip the strap to the back ring on the same side. If that makes sense it seems to work too but I like crossing them like you do.
