I am torn. I would like more threads on each page but I like the bigger font. Any way I can have my cake and eat it too?
I don't like turning pages...

Suggestion-when the admins/mods post a new stickie announcement, date is included in the thread title. Also, maybe use red font to indicate that it's vital info. Or at least a red asterisk or something.
Just throwing in my 2 cents while I'm here-also not a fan of the autoplay gif things.
Thanks, as always, to the fabulous admins and mods here.

I also hate banners. I am inclined to have it set so that there can be no images in the sig area. What do you guys think? I completely agree. So many images clutters a thread and makes it difficult to read. The visual simplicity was one of the few good things about the WW boards. I'm trying to fake working here, people. It's hard to do that with rainbows and puppies all over every page.

The page up doesn't work on iPads though. I accept this is a minor irritation but the scroll bar is obnoxious. Vel, I may be misunderstanding your problem, but on an iPad you should be able to tap the clock up at the top center of your screen and it should auto-scroll you back to the top of the page. (This is an iOS feature, not a board feature.)

I will admit that I did not read this thread and that today is my first day of really trying out this board. And I'll admit that I'm not really technology savvy.
Is there a way to sort the threads? It seems like the page self sorts to "last post". Is there a way to have an option to sort by date created or by the person who created it?
If it's only sorted by last post it seems like it might be difficult to find a specific post from the past.

I agree about no banners or images in sigs. It also eats into our storage space usage.

weird question. Is there any way to condense the reply boxes so that they aren't as tall? There's a lot of leftover white space after a post.
The one thing I did like about the old board format was how quickly you could read responses and scroll through a page. Having the ability to customize typography etc makes things bulkier to sift through, but I wouldn't want to take away that ability.

I have a signature set. But when I'm reading this board on my phone, using the mobile version not the app, I don't see signatures. Do you know if we have any control of that?

I am realizing there was a distinct advantage to the WW boards showing only the "last 2 days" by default. It kept the boards moving since week-old threads weren't still at the top for days and days. I am wondering if we have a similar option. Maybe not for 2 days but maybe 5 days or a week would be good. I'm imagining the "where did your username come from" thread is still going to be in the top five threads for the next three months, which will keep people from seeing other new threads as they just keep getting bumped down and buried.

Angel, they aren't really "old threads" if people have added to them. It's just a different way of interacting with the site. People will have to get used to reading past Page 1 to see if there is something of interest to them, but the up-side is that if you want to add to a conversation that you missed out on (expand on the question being asked, piggy-back on the topic, add new information that might help the OP, provide an update, or whatever), you can do that and it will come back to the top and the people who participated in it the first time will see it. There are boards I've posted to that have certain threads that have gone on for years. It's not necessarily a bad thing; but it is different. I think you may like it after you adjust to it. I really like it much better and always saw it as a negative about the WW site.

Having the ability to customize typography etc makes things bulkier to sift through, but I wouldn't want to take away that ability. There is too much white space for my taste as well. Let's see if we get used to it and if we don't and others feel the same, we can see if that can be changed.

I think several of those stickies will go away within the next few days and weeks. But adding a date isn't a bad idea (re: the vital thing... it's all vital! )

I'm not a fan of all the white space either. And I'm on an iPad and don't have a clock, but that could be because I've blatantly ignored the last several updates

angeldaae I agree with what shaine punim said and think it's really a feature, not a bug. Let's see if you get used it, because it can make things really great.

Howdy. I don't have much to say today. Just wanted to make sure my font size worked.

I don't know if this has been asked already, but does anyone know if there is a way to follow a thread if you haven't posted in it yet?

I don't know if this has been asked already, but does anyone know if there is a way to follow a thread if you haven't posted in it yet? Yes, bookmark it. So check the box next to the thread on the thread list and then use the Action drop-down above to get to bookmark. There is a menu item in the top blue bar for bookmarks to see them. You'll also get notified when someone posts to it.

Is there a way to prevent people from posting nonsensically to increase their post count?
TIA!

I noticed time stamps on the main board posts. Is that new or was I just blind to them before?
