Hi again- did a quick clean up at barn -spent most of the rest of this day inventorying stuff for the shop I'm putting into for next month -got the small stuff (pendants, earrings & small dishes) done -now to decide on the "larger" pieces - I only have a 3' display w/ 3 shelves & the top -so have to be selective -most will be lower end work as that seems to be what is selling there so far (according to the manager)
Don't know how much I've shared about my parents here -it's getting worse -DF is 97 & DM is 86 -he still drives during the day -she stopped about a year ago for several reasons -they are driving each other (and me & my siblings) crazy -whenever I talk to her she is constantly complaining about him -and visa versa -my DS who lives there tries to assist but she is bi-polar so has good days/bad days & DB -also down there -well he's a son.....DF has to drive her to all appointments -complains he feels like her chauffeur/aide -(which is partially true) he is having some physical/walking issues -starting to forget things more & more.... I could go on .....but it's so damn hard with me being here -whenever I talk to her she winds up crying -I tried to get them assistance through Jewish Family Services (me & sibs would pay for it) but they both resist it -and they are too independent to qualify for his veterans caregiver assistance. IT's a no win situation- very frustrating......thanks for listening......

Barb your parents situation sounds so much like my inlaws. They live out in the country and FIL doesn't want to move closer to town. He is very prejudice against any people of color and nationality and basically they both have the issues you have described. I agree it's a no win situation and very frustrating.

BARB-sorry about the issues with your parents. not easy. Especially them not wanting help and being so far away. So you have on DS in Texas and one in Florida? BETH-sometimes a day to relax is just what the doctor ordered. Hope you enjoyed the day.

Hi All, For some reason I thought I was going to have a good lesson today and I did. Glad Lukas got all of the sass out of his system yesterday. I am just going to stick to my original snaffle bit. I am glad I tried the other one just to kind of satisfy my curiosity. It turns out I can return it so I am not out any money. I was able to get Lukas on the bit today at the walk and sitting trot pretty well and some success at the posting trot. My trainer said it was the best he had seen me do so far so that it always encouraging. Then when we got to the jumping portion Lukas and I were just "on" today. We navigated to good take off points and got every one of the lead changes. It is so encouraging to have a great lesson when you have been struggling some. I have "homework" to do on my practice rides but I can see how the pieces I need to work on all come together.
Libby= glad you had a good ride. Safe travels!
Faye- I always think March is the hardest month to get through and I am with you on the snow. Enough already! It did get up to low 40's at the barn today and it was sunny so it felt great.
Hi to Cathy, Barb and Beth. HAGD, Amy
