Good morning From last night : AMY-i used to climb the "monkey bars" with my father every weekend at the park and we'd talk at the top. I loved Gymnastics in HS (only part of gym I ever liked) so I love this new piece of equipment.I once looked into Trapeze school but it was far and you had to go several times. glad you had a nice ride and hope the mane rake tool works. CATHY-couldn't really see the dolphins on FB but will try again later. sounds lovely. I love dolphins. Yes, pilates is basically core. Do they charge extra even for a mat class? Yoga is some hand stuff. YOu don't have to do anything you don't like so certainly don't do inversions like handstand but you are correct that some poses you have one hand down like in Triangle pose or Side Angle. but you may be able to just adjust and not do those. There is even chair yoga. I really like both but if you want to change your body (core) then Pilates is the way to go. I did mat classes a long time ago, twice a week and it changed my body (for the better) and posture in 6 weeks. I already am seeing an improvement in lower tummy. See if you can take a free class. waving to all. Off to the treadmill HAGE

Good morning - thanks again Faye for being her for us! I think Dutch is gone 2 weeks - Almost made it thru the whole night without coughing -woke up at 4AM -moved downstairs so not to wake DH - read for a while -then dozed till about 6:30 -then my normal morning stuff -raining here -I was on feeding today (BM gone for 2 weeks- Dee & I sharing) will go back later to clean & lunch.
Last night our water heater burst - 10 years & 3 days exactly since it had been installed -you don't realize how much you use hot water for -until you can't! they are coming today between 11-2!
Amy -glad you got to ride this weekend -don't think we will be riding any this week -supposed to be rainy most of it -My farrier did come yesterday at 8AM to put Penny's lost shoe on (actually pulled the other winter shoe & put 2 new regular ones on)
Beth - how is the order coming?
Cathy- that last painting you posted on FB was lovely -are you doing any as cards? I know alot of watercolor artists here do card prints from their paintings.
Waving to Libby in warm AZ!

Hi horse lovers, starting to miss my ponies a lot! I am going to the "high intensity" water aerobic class at 7:15 this morning. I've been going to the easier one at 9 am. The 7;15 people were leaving the first time I went as I was asking about the 9 o'clock class, they were jokingly giving me a hard time about not getting up early enough to play with them! So I thought I would try their class this morning. Lots of people leaving here this week, a lot of Canadians and mid-westerners - snowbirds lol I went to Costco yesterday and bought a new one piece bathing suit actually returned the first one I bought a size bigger than I wear, it looked awful on me! Got a different design/color and 2 sizes bigger than I wear in pants! Will try it on in a few minutes, I'm tall, so bathing suits don't fit me very well! We bought this place furnished and it came with a really nice bike that fits me perfect! DH and I have been riding each evening, it's 1.5 miles around the perimeter of this community Going to the music museum today and a bike shop to get a basket and a light for my bike I'd better go get ready for my class, wave to Faye, Barb, Beth, Amy, Cathy and Dutch!

LIBBY-curious to hear how you like the more intense water aerobic class. Enjoy the music museum. say to a harp for me if you see one nice about the bikes. When do you come home? how's the kitchen going? BARB-so sorry about the water heater. Did it flood? good luck with getting the new one in and feel better. AMY-how's it going? did you try the new mane/ pull thing? always wondered about that . does it make the mane shorter or thin it out. I used to see my trainer do it . never really asked poured here on the way to acupuncture. now just cold and gray. Waving to Beth and Cathy and ATF. HAGD

Faye; Wow the intense water aerobic class was intense! 1 1/2 hours, using weights under water- I'm going to be sore! I think I'll stick with this class, it's m-f - everyone was so welcoming and helpful - I fell all over the place when we used the noodles lol Dh likes the water bicycling class! Tomorrow there is a Zumba class at 1:00. I haven't done that since September when I got the foot and elbow diagnosis. I'm going to give it a try. It's so much easier to get out when your not working and it's warm out!! I do have to make a few work phone calls in a few minutes. Then off to the museum - Cathy and Faye; I'll take pictures of the harps!

Hi, all!
Faye, I will check on the pilates class. They do have pilates mat classes...I guess I could try one of those and see how it goes (my abs will be crying...I just know it!). Barb, bummer about the hot water heater. My thermocouple (yeah, pretty interesting I remember that term) died a few years ago during a cold spell. Took a week for a new part to arrive so did the whole "heat water on the stove, take short splash bath" kind of thing. We do take that hot water for granted, don't we. And re: the prints, I do need to find out how folks do them; I know my watercolor teacher did it but she was cagey about how, so I'll bug her about it. Watercolor workshop with her this weekend...yah! Beth, yes, did you start your order yet or are you waiting for April? I'm not sure what kind of dolphins...to be honest, it wasn't a good video but there was quite a large pod. I'll check on the kind that haunt our shores. Amy, having GOOD lessons make it easier to get through the CRAPPY lessons! Glad you had a good time and that the FL folks will be coming back soon. Is your friend a part of the FL group or is she going to be new to your barn? Libby, glad you're having a good time. Do you stay connected with folks at home on how the ponies, puppies and kitties are doing? Hope the advanced water class went well! Bathing suits are yucky...have you tried a tankini? They are 2 piece, but kind of look like one piece. I'm short but my torso is long so I have the same issues...uncomfortable fits. It's takes a lot of work to find the right suit!!
So yeah, not much going on today. Will have the mammmo (my healthcare provider bugs me about it each year so I cant' forget). Then harp lesson. Still trying to sort out a good time to meet with the other harpist. Might be Thursday but I don't think she works full-time so she keeps wanting to do morning meet-ups and it won't work for me. Faye, how do you do it??!??!

Good afternoon. Our landline is on the blink. No dial tone on any receiver and the phone hasn't been ringing. DH called phone company and they said through an automated service they would come and repair it by Tuesday. I'll start the order sometime this week. Shouldn't take more than about 3 days to do it.

BETH-hope it 's not a big fix for the landline CATHY-My harp buddies work so one comes from work and gets here about 5:30 one Tuesday a month. the other teaches so she comes on a holiday or a weekend. Good luck with the mammo. have fun at the harp lesson. and hope you find out how to make cards . your artwork is beautiful. AMY-are you the one that said you were behind getting a mammo?? well don't put it off. (I had DCIS 11 years ago and it was found during a routine mammo) LIBBY-sounds great. when I was doing the water PT I also did a class while i was there. the weights make it intense and I hear you about the noodle. it kept popping up in my face! the Y had the cycling under water and I wanted to do that but I wasn't strong enough then. BUt they had underwater treadmills! and and that was intense. enjoy Zumba when you go. I never did that.
waving to all. Back to cleaning and harp.

Hi all, so things are getting challenging at the office. One front desk person had emergency gallbladder surgery on Saturday. then one of the hygienists fell over the weekend and broke her nose in several places. Another hygienist is having back problems. The associate dentist stayed late to talk to my husband and I have a feeling he may be leaving in June because his wife matched for an internship in Baltimore and they are moving there. ( we knew this might happen). Enough already. I may have to work the front desk by myself tomorrow afternoon which is just crazy.
My DH's birthday is tomorrow. He wants me to make him mock key lime pie. I have to go out to the store to get the ingredients and also figure out dinner.
I will have to get back to you all with personals, I feel a little overwhelmed right now.

gmorning! ! I beat everyone up today The musical instrument museum here in Phoenix is a must destination for anyone who likes, plays music!! Spent 5 1/2 hours roaming the place and didn't make it thru Africa and Asia and 1/2 way thru Latin America. Can't even express what a great experience it was. Have lot's of pictures of Harps for Cathy and Faye! Interesting to me that in Ireland, most of the early harpists were blind and traveled around playing (so the story goes). I'll post the pic's on FB. Music is the language of the soul - the theme of the museum! I'd better go get ready for water aerobics! I'm pretty sore, I think I'll soak in the hot tub first for a few mins. Amy; sounds busy there, take care of yourself Beth; sorry about the phone, sounds like it will get fixed today? Is there are therapeutic riding close to your house where you could volunteer? they always need people who know horses! Barb; have fun at IKEA Faye; You would have loved the harps at the museum! Cathy; yeah, I love the 2 size bigger swimsuit with tucks at one side. Really glad I returned the first one! How are your feet? Wave to dutch! HAGD everyone!

LIBBY-thanks can't wait to see the photos, and yes, most early harpists in Ireland were blind and traveled the country side (Turlough O'Carolan is very famous, i play several of his tunes, Blinded by smallpox )-this was around the 17th ish century 18th c. Happy aerobics BETH-how's the phone? BARB-how are you feeling? did you get anything at Ikea? AMY-how'd it go? sorry so many people are having issues at the office. hope they are all ok. Will DH look for another associate dentist? does he want a new graduate, must be that time of year. Good luck. hope it's not too stressful CATHY-how was the lesson? do you get the mammo results right away or have to wait?
already worked out , been to bank and grocery store and fish store. and just heard the garbage pick up so will head out for the cans. Friend coming tonight to practice harp so will take out the tunes I do with her.
waving to all. HAGD

Good morning. It's a gray off and on rainy day. Need to go to WallyWorld aka Walmart to get DH's med and a few other items in town. Is there are therapeutic riding close to your house where you could volunteer? they always need people who know horses! There used to be a program at one time. I don't know if it's still ongoing. As of this morning...no it's not repaired yet.

Hi, all! Faye, OK, so you do kind of work around the other's schedules...nice to hear. I don't know what this woman does; she doesn't work full-time (yarn store or something like) but seems to be super-busy...maybe kids? She apparently takes lessons every other week, so not sure if too busy or not making enough money. I'm sure I'll learn more Beth, not having a phone is a nuisance. Do you guys have a cell phone just in case? Have fun starting your order! Barb, I hope you had fun in Ikea. I don't have any close so can't get there easily. Libby, wow...sounds like an amazing workout...I think they have water aerobics at my gym where I swim, but they are in the mornings so can't do those. Glad you enjoyed the museum...sounds like you'll have to go back to finish the world Amy, take it easy...all those things will work out in due time...take it as it comes! Mammo was fine; I did get an electronic reading and all is clear. Hope to swim today. Cathy

Phone repaired. The line had been cut at the junction box on the road. AT&T didn't know who did it. We won't be charged as it wasn't anything to do with the house phones. Yes we do have cell phones so we were not phoneless.

HI all - Back from IKEA -didn't buy much -straws, plastic bags, a cart that MAY organize my glass frit better (if not it was only $20) and of course some coffee. Just a good time walking around. Cold is just mostly cough that comes & goes - as as we have seen it may hang around for a while! New water heater installed -they had to upgrade the lines as well cha ching, cha ching, cha ching!
Cathy -glad mammo was good. Beth -strange about phone lines -good that repairs weren't on you! Amy - did you get the pie made? Libby -the museum sounds interesting -maybe you can go back another time and see the rest. Faye - have fun w/ your friend -you have been a busy girl this morning.
Heading out to clean the barn in a bit -guessing we will strip the shed -hope the rain holds a bit longer!

Good morning, Beth have fun at bible study Barb; hope the rain holds off for the stall stripping, what kind of coffee do you buy at IKEA? Faye; I'll post the harps later today Heidi has been keeping me updated on the horses, cat and my dd is taking care of Cookie, get homesick when I think about them. Cathy; I think we'll go back to the museum next season Amy; are you getting any riding in with all the office stress? Wave to dutch I pulled something in my L shoulder pain kept me up a lot last night. I guess playing with "the big girls" in the pool pulled a muscle! I'm going to do the easy stretching 9:00 water class today after 2 cups of coffee and 4 Ibuprofens. Holding the weights underwater and twisting was a little much for me. The resort has a free popcorn and movie night tonight, we are going to see Second Hand Lions, the previews look really good! We are driving to Las Vegas on Friday (4 hrs) and to Florence tomorrow so my ds can go fishing with his Uncle :0) HAGD everyone

Hi, all! Bangalore is on holiday today so work is VERY quiet! Faye, we've finally got a date, tomorrow around 3. We'll see how it goes; I'm going to send you a message about what room is best for duets Beth, glad the phone got fixed and it's not on you. BTW, I checked my dolphin video against a website that talks about the different kinds of cetaceans (!) and I think I actually saw harbor porpoise. They are smaller, darker, more blunt-nosed, and their dorsal fin is triangular and farther down their back. Mystery solved! Barb, bleh...hot water heaters ain't cheap. Glad you have hot water though. Sounds like you had fun at Ikea Libby, bummer about the pulled muscle. It's funny how we don't feel it when we do it, just afterwards and then you have to figure out "what did I do?" Have fun at the movie!! Haven't heard of that one. Cat goes to the vet for her quarterly check up. Making sure UTI is gone, checking glucose...expensive stuff I'm taking tomorrow off. Dentist in the morning, probably a couple of hours (cleaning and then some fixing), stop by and see mom and dad. And then the harp practice...looking forward to it! Cathy

BARB-have a good day. are you riding today? AMY-hope you get to ride with all that's going on at the office.

Hi all! Hope you're all doing great even with life's curve balls!
I'm back on US soil, nice to be home. Ally is still standing - haven't gone to see her yet. Looks like cat got in a fight, will have to watch her wound - it's small and looks clean.
Trip was a success. We're all sick - and were much of the time, normal air travel I guess. We had a great time though, nice to see old churches/castles and visit with my family. 8 years is a long time to no see them. DS did great with everything and DH adapted pretty good to all the strangeness.
