I cast this one on over the weekend... my first go at any kind of colorwork, and I absolutely love it!! I don’t know if I can go back to single-color knitting... also attaching a pic from the pattern .

Walking60, wow! It looks like you got a lot done for one weekend! That yarn is gorgeous, and I can't wait to see the finished product. I'm eager to learn colorwork, but I have so many projects I want to tackle that are single color, too.

Here is the batch of granny squares I’ve been working on since August. The pattern is a CAL (crochet along). The designer posts two squares per week. My goal is 30 squares which will be queen sized with joining and border. This week is the last two squares. There are 16 patterns total, so most will be doubles in the final piece. I make lots of mistakes, so frog a lot. (rippit rippit rippit)

Also, if anyone is interested, I can invite you to the hookedonsunshine Facebook page. I post a lot of my individual squares there.
I also bought red white and blue yarn to make a Buffalo Bills “graphghan”. My daughters are both in Boston and need Bills blankets.

I've been crocheting a lot. I did a crochet along with the Crochet Crowd. It's and afghan called Better Together Afghan and I'm going to give it to my brother and SIL. I am in the process of sewing together one for my niece, Peppermint Swirl. eta: I also got a cat, Pippin, who is "helping" me. Fortunately, except for laying on it, he has no interest in my yarn and projects.

blue3123, my cat Podrick loves my yarn bag. It’s his favorite spot. I love your afghan!

Hey friends. I worked some on my baby blanket this weekend and started a Christmas stocking! I don't like the white yarn I chose for the stocking border (it looks cheap and tacky (Narrator: Because it WAS cheap and tacky), but otherwise I'm SUPER happy with that project. I'm learning lots of new stuff with more to come, too! Other than a couple of rounds on the stocking, I took yesterday off from knitting because my hands were bothering me. Hoping to do a fair amount today.
How was your weekend craft-wise?

I had a good knitting weekend! Watched the Falcons flop yesterday with a friend of mine and worked on my sweater. I’m almost through the colorwork chart & then it’ll be just stockinette in the round once I separate the sleeves. Here’s an updated pic.

I’m making progress on my cabled sweater front. I have the back and sleeves done so I’ll be able to seam everything after I finish the front. I’m not loving the yarn color and don’t know what I was thinking when I bought it. It’s a bit blah. Oh well!

I’m making progress on my cabled sweater front. Before you get too far, two twists up on the left side looks like it didn't get sent to the back quite right. Is the pattern part of a set or is it just a mistake. I'd rather catch it earlier rather than later if it is something that needs to be fixed!

V, I did notice my cable good. There's always at least one goof per sweater, lol. At least this one is towards the bottom and hidden a bit.

I finished my baby blanket yesterday!
Unfortunately, I bound off REALLY tightly, and now the top edge of the blanket is about 6 inches shorter than the bottom edge. I didn’t notice until I’d cut and woven and tied everything off, though, so there’s not fixing it. Oh well, I guess.

I did it to the bottom of a sweater that I finished a month or so ago... it fits, but there’s absolutely no give to it, and the yarn is silk, so it won’t loosen up. I made a mental note to bind off sweaters using a stretchy bind-off going forward.

I did a TON of knitting on my Christmas stocking last night, and I turned my first heel! I really enjoyed it, and now I want to hurry up and finish so I can knit ALL THE SOCKS.
