skipperdox, this is absolutely stunning!! It makes me want to put down my knitting needles and get serious about crochet. My crochet skills are limited to granny stripe blanket right now

bonzee, I saw your granny stripe on Instagram. It’s gorgeous. I never could get the hang of knitting, although my daughter loves it. She has tried crochet and can’t quite do it. I would love to make Irish fisherman’s sweaters and crochet just doesn’t cut it. One of these days I’ll learn to knit. Thanks everyone for the compliments. I’m working on a baby blanket for my new niece. This is the first baby in the family since I learned to crochet in December 2019.

skipperdox , thank you! I wish I hadn't made it big enough to fit over a queen sized bed. It'll take me forever to finish it

Hey Peeps! Y'all hadn't been posting here, so No One KNOWS!!!! DD is getting ready to deliver twin boys this Thursday! To celebrate, I am making cardigans for them. One is completely knit and needs the finishing touches (ends, buttons, seams, and blocking) while the second one is on the needles. I never did complete the afghan blocks and get them stitched together (I still have 2-3 blocks to complete before blocking and stitching). That will be the next project before I start anything else.

Babies are here! They are one month old now (bad Gramma, not sharing here immediately!). The sweaters were delivered to the kids within a day of them being hatched. I got to go to stay with them this week and will update with pics of The Royalty when I can get back on my phone. I have started putting together the afghan blocks and have only 5 more singles to make the last horizontal "line" of blocks before I start sewing together the strips vertically into a complete afghan. Then the work will start as I work the outside border. It's looking pretty good though. More on that later, too.

V, they're adorable and your sweater is the cutest thing ever!! I have no babies around me, but I'm super tempted to just knit baby things anyway and keep them in a basket for when the time comes.

What does everyone have waiting to get wrapped for Christmas/holiday gifts? I finished the socks, beanie, and ends on the afghan. I have another jacket waiting on a skein of yarn so I can knit up a collar and placket for my niece's baby who is due this week. Meanwhile I'm starting a cowl/cape (depending on how the yarn works up) and looking for more things to use another half dozen skeins because a body just can't start and finish one piece at a time. Pics to follow soonish.

I haven’t knit for anyone this year, but I just finished the Feel the Bern sweater - this is the yoke. I’m working on a set of boot cuffs for a class I’m teaching this March.

Two more done and being blocked. These were done TAAT so they could be finished at the same time. They'll be wearing these for years considering how big the sweaters are and how tiny the boys remain.

I haven't sat down and made anything For.Ev.Ah.
And triplet #3 (the 3rd embryo from the IVF procedure with the twins) is due to be hatched next month! A little girl this time. I need to get moving!
