Jan 20 credits: Didn't exercise but walked for 2 hours in a museum Read cards Logged food Used habit tracker Gave myself credit
Went out with a couple of friends and after walking around the museum for 2.5 hours, we went to lunch and sat and talked for 3 hours! I did have a modest lunch. Came home after running errands at almost dinner time. Was a great day but no exercise!

Jan 22 credits: Not a great day because I couldn't fall asleep till 1:30 am and got up at my usual time of 7 am. I need more sleep than that! As a result I snacked more than I should have all day because I was tired and unable to concentrate. I didn't eat as much at meals and I went upstairs and did some spinning (pretty mindless for me) both at night during the insomnia episode and during the day and evening to cut down on the snacking. Bit of a crazy day: Had to drive DH to the early AM colonoscopy appt. Takes me a little while to get up and running in the morning so I got up at 4:00AM. And I've not been sleeping well lately, fussing about this cruise I'm going to take sans DH but with two dear friends. My specialty, taking a supposedly fun activity and turning it into a problem. It's not until 3/12, but 15 day cruise! Longest one I've taken. Tuesday credits: Weighed - down 0.4 lb. lani , hugs about the stress. I understand the anxiety over doing something different from what one has always done. And 4 am! yikes! I signed up for Yogaworks online through my new Medicare Advantage plan and am going to do my first class at 9 am this morning. I've used their beginner DVD for decades but their advanced one is too advanced for me even now. That's why I signed up for Stretchit and am doing flexibility training every day. I'm a bit excited to see what level this class is and then I can pick other classes which they classify for different levels. This one is for all levels so I suspect there will be modifications in it. Jan 25 credits: Read cards Logged food Used habit tracker Exercised Gave myself credit Stuck to plan eta: Update on the yoga - my old iPad didn't like the Zoom meeting although I should try it with the Zoom app rather than the browser. However, I switched to a pre-recorded (on-demand) class and the sound and delivery were fine. The really sad part was that my left hand - which had the carpal tunnel release surgery Dec 1 - is still not able to support me in downward facing dog and that is in many of the classes. I tried a couple before giving up. I guess I'll have to wait at least another month before trying again.

I've been making a lot of herbal tea in advance because I have a couple of insulated cups that keep the tea hot for a long time. I can't drink out of them right after I make the tea but a couple of hours later, the tea is at perfect drinking temp. One is better than the other. So I make a couple of these at around 4-5 pm and then I can drink one around 7 pm and the other the rest of the evening. This has really been helping me keep from eating after dinner. Putting tea in a regular cup means it goes from super hot to cold in a very short time and I don't like cold tea.
