Meditated Tracked Read new posts, posted on another thread Strength & flexibility exercises Ate sitting, mindfully Wrote plan for Friday We had pizza/wine night Thurs. because we're traveling Sunday AM and DH wanted two days between pizza/wine and travel. So he goes out Friday and has bottle of Barolo with some friends. I stayed home getting ready. Friday credits: Weighed - no change Otherwise same as Thurs. except no meditating and ended day 110 calories under plan Probably my last post till 3/28, unless I'm so ready Sun AM - then I might get one last post in.

I keep forgetting to check in here; need to get into the habit.
I had a good weekend; completed all my planned exercise for the week. I also did a lot of chores and cleaning around the house. LOTS of heavy lifting; made me proud that I am strong.
I made good choices and didn't let the food tempt me (too much). Lunch out at TexMex restaurant was a steak salad instead of other "much worse" options. I've been paying more attention to not eating to over fullness and tolerating hunger. Also been doing pretty good on sitting when I eat.

Hi, I've been doing so-so, lately. But that's better than I had been doing for a few months, so I'll keep building on that. Trackin at least 2/3rds of my meals ( the healthier ones 🙄) Keeping up with my activity accountability group goals. Working on getting out of my own head about some stuff that's bothering me.
I have planned to stay completely out of Aldi's this week, as it's Easter candy-palooza there and I don't need the temptation.

I had a decent day yesterday. I slept well but feel tired; time change catching up with me I think. I was just plain HUNGRY all day yesterday but made decent choices and tolerated it.
I am struggling with something...

My mother and sister both had/have high metabolisms and didn't/don't gain weight as easily. My brother has gone vegan and lost a lot of weight in the past decade. But his wife does most of the cooking and prep although he does some too. I know that if I try to go vegan, a) I'll miss cheese and my only 'vacation' day of the week which is pizza and b) I'll have to do more cooking and prep than I already do. So that won't work for me. I've focused on what works for me and am focused on staying healthy - being strong, building lean muscle mass and bone density, being flexible and working on balance. These are things that are going to serve me well as I age. The actual number on the scale matters less than the other factors including blood work. You have to look at what matters for you in terms of your lifestyle and goals.

Hi! It has been since April 2022 since I have thought about BDS. It is almost spring so that always tends to get me reflecting on my body and health. New beginnings with so much of everything coming back to life including myself after too many months of focusing on others and letting go of my life. I feel the page turning.
I will get back to being present with BDS. I have my cards on the DR table. I will read them once a day. I think it is ten years, if not longer, from when I did my first book review. I am looking at my cards and see one dated March 2013. :-) I am always successful when I am accountable to a thread so here I go.
Daily WI down 0.2. Posted here. Read ARC plus a few more cards.

Daily WI down 0.4. Walked yesterday. More mindful of eating behaviors. Wrote down credits. Less eating while standing. Got to bed earlier. Ate less cereal and milk. Read a few cards including ARC.

Here. Darn, I think about the Beck stuff a lot (credit) and think about posting here (credit) but when I think of it I'm not near the computer... Official WI is even. Good enough. I have been keeping up with daily exercise to ensure my weekly goal is met. I resisted DH's invitation to go out for supper Tuesday. Resisted mints/hard candy today. It was becoming a habit I allowed myself to have just because I saw it available. Nope, the thought needs to come before the action.

I post here when I sit for my first meal of the day at the dining room table. I've done this for years when I'm checking in here. I read my cards, write down my credits and then post.

Yesterday was not full of success but did resist the cookies at work. All day long... We were at friends last night; I took my favorite hot dip. When we got home I put the crock in the refrigerator. I am the only one home this weekend; made the decision to throw it out so I don't eat it. So, that struggle is down the drain! I told myself I had it last night, enjoyed it with friends, now let it go
