Starting the thread as I want to post my status before I go on to other things.
Feb 1 credits: Read cards Logged food Used habit tracker Gave myself credit Exercised Meditated Stuck to plan
I decided I had had enough of my own headspace and I needed to get out of it and just do it. Resisted STs to eat junk food right before dinner and had carrots/hummus because dinner was light on veggies. I probably ate more than I should have but no snacks or sugar. I'll start paring down the quantity today.

Combo of grocery shopping after which I have my treat lunch day, and then we moved pizza night to Thursday as we are going out Saturday and didn't want to drink two days in a row. (I was explaining this to my 87 year old friend, at whose house 5 of us are going to spend the night after dinner Sat., and she said "I drink every day in a row!" Don't make 'em like they used to.)

Feb 4 credits: Went off the rails yesterday. Not going to repeat it today.
I made some good choices but also some bad ones. I realized that if my choice in the am is a bad one, it leads to more bad decisions. I didn't exercise yesterday and I have no idea why. I didn't do it first thing because my sister was visiting and then I started doing other stuff and totally forgot.

Still catching up with the posting:
Friday credits: Weighed - up 1.8 lbs. A lot out eating out, also I was at a very low weight Thursday that had to have been a fluke. Exercised Tracked Ate sitting, mindfully Ended day 135 calories under plan Meditated
Saturday: Weighed - no change Tracked b'fast Out to fancy dinner and spent night at friends house with DH and 3 other friends, plus the hostess.
Sunday: Tracked Ate sitting, mostly mindfully Couldn't weigh 'cause we woke up at friend's house

Feb 5: Day started off good but I was so tired in the afternoon that I snacked then. Went to bed early. Still tired today.
I have a bunch of appointments today but I'm going to relax between them. Maybe take a nap.
Nothing much else was done yesterday re: Beck except I read a card.

Power went out Sunday night, came back on around 11:30 next day. So another day out of routine. Had Egg McMuffin and Mickey D's coffee for b'fast. McMuffin only 310 cals. Yay.

I feel like snacking around 4 pm. I have a reminder to read a card but reading wasn't enough. Yesterday when the reminder went off, I meditated for 5 mins. I'm going to try and do that every day.

Feb 7 credits: Exercised Meditated Read cards Logged food Used habit tracker Gave myself credit I stuck to plan in that I didn't eat junk food or eat mindlessly but I did eat a snack at 3. I was hungry and dinner wasn't for another 3 hours. I am having some difficulty eating sufficient food to not get hungry before dinner. The vegetable heavy food just isn't sufficient. I got some tofu/vegetable dumplings yesterday and will try those in addition to soup, salad, carrots/hummus, fruit.
I finally have used up all the food I cooked by eating leftovers for lunch/dinner. My dad is eating so little and I was experimenting with different things to see what he would eat. Even tiny amounts seem to last forever. So I'm looking forward to something different today.

Hi, bloggy alert, need to get this out. I weighed myself for the first time in quite awhile on 2/1. I came in at +24.2 lbs over my WW goal weight. This morning's WI has me -1.9. I am really, really struggling right now, grieving the loss of my Sweetie-cat. I agree with you ermabom, about the morning choices setting up the rest of the day. My whole morning routine had been so intertwined with Sweetie care, and it's gone so I am all over the place. I keep forgetting to take my own meds, since I'm no longer using the time waiting for her to finish her food to do that. I need to do something about the self-indulgent entitlement grief and stress eating I've been doing. I had been so focused on caring for her, and then making sure I was doing the kindest, rightest thing for her towards the end, that I gave no thought to what my life would be like in the aftermath when she was gone. I'm hoping I can re-focus that caring back to myself now, and get back to eating better, and more calorie burning exercise. I can barely squeeze myself into my clothes, and I'm not moving around very well. I turned 64 in January, and I feel every day of that age right now. This week I will focus on giving myself credit for one thing that I do that is good for me every day, and preparing one healthy meal. If I do more than that, great. Very, very baby steps.

Cyn, I can really understand. Death leaves such a void in your life, as you say, not just the loss, but the end of the all consuming effort to save your dear one, and then to ease the passing. Cyn, I'm so sorry! It is very tough because there is a big hole in your life. For me, changing my whole routine has been the key to getting my head straight. I am by nature a late night person but I was eating too much and not doing all the right things with that sort of schedule. I am now getting up 2 hours earlier and going to bed 1.5-2 hours earlier. I don't feel the urge to eat in the morning so those two hours are more productive and less focused on food. I'm getting my meditation done, my exercising done and I'm showered by lunch time. Plus any housework like laundry and emptying dishwasher, tidying up, cleaning that I need to do. Then I have the whole afternoon for other things and after dinner, I just am up for a couple of hours and then it's bed time. I am not eating after dinner at all and my dinner is digested before I go to bed. Once my SO comes back (week after next). we are going to switch our main meal to lunch time so I'll also have to cook in the am vs the other housework. But I'll get that cooking hour from 5-6 pm back for other stuff.

However, even though I was really really hungry about an hour before dinner, I didn't eat anything but brought dinner forward by about 10 mins. Resisted STs to grab a snack at night when I came down to verify that my dad had turned the family room space heater off.

Hi, Credits for 2/8: Made healthy, low point bfast, tracked. Tracked my weight in the WW app. Went on a 2 1/2 hour walkabout through the nature sanctuaries and along the lakefront. Saw 2 new-to-me waterfowl species! Tracked it. Had a nice dinner w my neighbors, ate sensibly and tracked.

Again will probably feature some leftover pizza, no firm calorie count availl, but it can't be good.
I have been getting frozen pizza actually made in in Italy for a few years, order online and delivered to your door. It has been great because the calories are right on the package and they are very reasonable for pizza. However, the company is exiting from online purchases. Wah! It was also just like pizza in Italy, so, so good. I have pizza every Friday and have to come up with a new plan. The local pizzerias don't seem that appealing anymore. The takeout from last night is fantastic, but it's too heavy to work into my regular rotation. This dilemma is right up there with AT&T doing away with landlines, but that's a complaint for another day.

I'm sure the pizza was lovely. I was going to ask you about it but since they are exiting, I guess it doesn't matter. SO and I have been having Target's Good and Gather Roasted Vegetable pizza for a while now. It is frozen and they have a couple with meat on them too. Thin crust, not heavy cheese. We divide one between either 2 or 3 people - my dad was eating a quarter and SO and I would divide the other three quarters. If my dad isn't here, we each have half. 780 calories for the whole pie so our share is about 500 calories each. The serving size is 1/3 of the pie which is 260 calories but that isn't a meal for me.
However, it is likely that we'll be eating less of this since both of us are moving to less refined carbs and saturated fat and more vegetables, whole grains and millets.
Feb 10 credits: Rest day for exercise I was out all day and had to pack up lunch in a hurry (had to take dad to see doc first thing in the am) so didn't take enough food. Ended up eating some donut holes and cookies at the meeting. But I only ate carrots/hummus for dinner. Read cards Logged food Meditated Gave myself credit

DH doesn't mind going out in search of pizza, so we may try some local takeout for a while. Even the one that is a bit calorie dense we could get in individual slices, so we don't over indulge. If the 9ers win today, we're having a split of Tattinger!

Saturday credits: Healthy bfast, tracked it. Walked 2.5 miles to soccer pub, tracked it. Too many beers, and tried a new pizza place takeout on the way home. Tasty, but too much cheese. No by-the-slice available, so I ate too much. I did track it all.
I have a habit tracker grid in my calendar book that I had been using to help me keep track of Sweetie's thyroid meds (which ear, what time,) her IBD pill, and her ear cleanings. I set it up now for my own meds, so I can get that routine started-I like noting things on paper. I do have electronic pill reminders, but it's too easy to just click taken, and then not actually go take them if I'm in the middle of something. I also made one line for doing intervals on my indoor bike.

Thinking about adding some formal, written meal planning back into my life. I'm sorry you're having pizza sadness, lani . I love Italy, and the pizza there. I will check into that Good & Gather pizza, ermabom . I've beeb making "homemade" pizza using whole wheat thin crusts from Golden Home brand, Contadina Pizza Squeeze sauce, very thin sliced provolone, and my own toppings. The crust is 8 points for the whole thing, IIRC, and I can usually leave some. But sometimes I don't feel like going through even that process, so having a decent freezer option would be nice.
