Come on in for the start of the 2nd third of the year! WOW, that puts time in perspective! Get started on a Monday AND a new month. Choices were C+ this weekend, activity was A+ but I know I'm too old to out-exercise what happens in the kitchen. Off to walk...

Today is my one year anniversary of logging. I lost 20 pounds early on but nothing in the last three months. I’m trying to up my movement now. I’ve joined one of the accountability threads. I’m on week 4. Thanks for the reminder mare

I'm back. I posted and was connected somewhat in March. While reading some of my cards this morning I noted when I last did the hunger exercise practice and it was exactly 2 years ago today. LOL. When I'm engaged I like to do that practice weekly for the reminders that hunger is not an emergency. I forget that real easily. I'm doing a challenge with another online group beginning today I will be showing up here most days to post in May.

fitin14, you have my sympathy! It made me ravenously hungry. Is it going to be a long-term prescription or temporary? I gained over 40 lbs. when I was on it, but I was about 15 lbs. underweight to start (IBD) and going from the Solumedrol drip to the oral dosage. Also I was on it for a long time. BTW my UC is under control and I have not had to do the devil drug for many years. Monday credits: Weighed - down 0.6 lb. fitin14, you have my sympathies. I need to put the Weight Loss Is The Most Important Thing card front and center right now. I have gone back to in-person WW mtgs the past 3 out of 4 weeks. Now, if I would just follow the program! Grrrr. I have been 98% OP w healthy breakfasting. Time to unearth my meal planner pad, too. I do have a new batch of split pea soup in the fridge.

Daily WI maintained Meditated More mindful of eating while standing Read ARC Ate one cookie then froze the rest. Ate 3/4 of sandwich. Easing back in slowly. Having a rough emotional spell so time to pull out the other Beck book and read the chapter on emotional eating. I've been very successful with that the last few years but right now a bump in the road. I am treating myself gently with no remorse.

lani , I have been prescribed for 8 weeks. just at week 5 now. Being diagnosed with suspected Chron's but its taking forever. I wasn't taken seriously and dismissed as IBS for years by the GI dr but went to ER with severe pain and vomiting (sorry TMI) and the ER GI dr prescribed prednisone. Yes to being ravenous!! ugh. and hot flashes and insomnia. Not sure what next steps will be I see the GI dr next month again.

fitin14, oh yeah, I couldn't sleep without Ambien - re: prednisone. My BFF has Crohn's and was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis for decades. I also had a multitude of tests before the correct diagnosis. Best of health to you. (My friend has been doing well as far as Crohn's for many years, but it was very severe at times.) BTW, I'm going in for my every-three-years scope next week. Tuesday credits: Weighed - up 0.2 lb. Read new posts, posted Meditated Tracked Strength & flexibility exercises Ended day 340 calories under plan Wrote plan (?) for today. Going out for lunch, and as I will be restricting various items after today until the colonoscopy, (not to mention the clear liquids day right before), I'm not fussed about what I'm going to eat today. So I know what breakfast will be; unsure for the rest of the day.

I really need to chill and spend some quiet time alone and not just "doing" chores and things for other people. I've been exercising and walking but not winning the battle in the kitchen. I'm turning it around...

Hi, May the Fourth be with us all today! It would have been my Mom's 90th birthday today. I am determined not to emotionally eat my way through it. Will head to WW this morning. I walk at least one way. I will NOT be stopping at Aldi-there is nothing I need, most especially their lovely white chocolate.
I baked and shredded a chicken breast for ready meals. I will dig out my meal planner as soon as I am done finished feeding Sweetie, and get myself set up for the week.
I had a lovely time walking with Roses yesterday, and we were able to bring the little boy she used to watch! He turned 3 last month. We saw the new baby lion cubs at the zoo again, and lots of beautiful tulips.
Sweetie is yowling, time to go. Enjoy the day folks! I will remember to smile at myself in the mirror today.

Strength and peace to you all.
Wednesday's credits:
Weighed - down 0.6 lb. Meditated Tracked as best I could (looked up some calorie info on lunch items) Evening only strength & flexibility exercises - went to the lab for bloodwork at 7AM and never got to my morning exercise routine Ate sitting, mindfully No dinner because I was still full from lunch Wrote plan for today
Lunch yesterday was not too awful healthwise, other than dessert - bread pudding with gelato and caramel sauce. So worth it. Did go approx. 350 calories over my usual daily calorie plan.
