I don't know an easy way to post photos here so I'll share my project with you on this thread. Anyone should be able to see it with the link. I'm back after being away for months. I'm up 3# and don't seem to be able to get them back off. Have started preplanning better and I have a streak of 2 evenings with no snacking. Will get more involved before I head out on another trip late next week.

Thank you for sharing. lani those cruises sound just lovely! beherenow , I have that Diet Trap book, sounds as though I should actually read it... crewer , welcome back! I've been tracking, planning, and moving. I have Roses' DD's shower today. It's at an Italian restaurant. I am planning to be very mindful-I'm not sure if it's buffet style but weight loss being the most important thing will be top of mind. I'm going to wear a special necklace of my Mom's that I can use as an anchor, as well.

May 20 and 21 credits: I had meetings both days so it was very busy at home getting household stuff done before and after I ran off to many hour meetings with driving time.
I'm afraid that while I sort of watched what I ate, I didn't do much else.
Back to normal today

I'm here; trying to get settled into a summer lifestyle. We had SO MANY spring projects in the works that are finally done. I feel like now I can have some quiet time to just sit, reflect, rest, and enjoy.
Exercise is good, food is good most days. Meals are planned which is always a help. Tolerating hunger is a key for me...

I've still got a tracking streak going, even though there have been some poor choices over the past few days. Sigh. I did walk to and from the soccer pub yesterday, about 6 miles, so I had activity. I've been doing emo and entitled eating lately, and need to rein it in. One friend is seriously ill and in the hospital w liver failure, and his kidneys are not doing well either. Also, my 2 friends whom I've known since the first week I moved here in 2005 are moving to WVa, so lots of stress and changes that I'm not handling very well.

I keep having these early morning appointments, messing with my morning routine! DH and I say constantly, how did we ever get up and go to work everyday for all those years! Ended day 240 calories under plan Wrote today's plan Thursday I am flying to Mpls. and then driving to SD for SIL's funeral. I may have posted already, she died 2/28 but they held off internment until spring for better weather. I will get to see my brother for the first time since the covid lockdown, so that's good. Hope the smoke from the Canadian fires blows away by then. I did text my brother about it and he didn't mention it, so perhaps it's not bad where he is.

Cyn , you do have a lot of stress and changes going on. If nothing else go to the chapter on emotional eating in The Diet Trap Solution which changed my life. After a lifetime of turning to food to stuff feelings or ignore feelings I do well 95% of the time with that issue. I do have slip-ups but nothing like the daily involvement with food to deal with emotions. Here briefly Daily WI up 0.2 Meditated Read a few cards Read posts and posting Not here since May 18. Had a birthday that I wasn't really excited about because next year I enter the next decade. I was freaking out. I know it's just a number. I'll get back to an attitude of gratitude about my good health and good fortune. So because I thought it would make me feel different I did some extra eating for a few days. Plus last night I had an alarming written communication from a family member who's in ill health in Juneau. The situation resolved itself as of this morning. But last night I binged which these days looks like opening the freezer and getting out one frozen cookie and eating it. That was following a few bowls of dry cereal and milk. It's about the behavior and not the quantity. I'm back today.

beherenow , remember the alternative to growing older. It is worse. I stopped worrying about aging because I realized that I have to work on being healthy and ready for whatever comes NOW. Once again, I managed to get the dates mixed up yesterday. I fixed it. My last post was about May 23.

Did not stick to plan because I ate my annoyance at SO who started ranting at me because he had been on the phone with some customer service that needed something from me and he couldn't find me. Apparently he was walking around the house calling my name when I was in the bedroom right down the hall from where he had been sitting. I heard his voice - not my name - and assumed he was talking to the CSR. His ranting annoyed me when it was totally his fault for not walking down the hall first before going downstairs and wherever else he went to look for me.

Well, it's the last day of May.
I went to the grocery yesterday, and got 98% healthy WWery but tasty stuff. This morning I baked a chicken breast and shredded it, and am crockpotting a batch of my split pea soup. Onwards towards the new month, new goals. I'm going to stop looking at the whole 15 I need to lose, and start with a focus of having a loss each week. No numbers right now, just downward progress.

Got back from Mpls., SD Monday afternoon. Lots of starch, more alcohol than usual, weak coffee, and riding in planes and cars. A bit of walking in airports and wrangling bags. I did keep up with my body weight strength & flexibility exercises.
Tuesday credits:
