Are you ready to Begin Again?
Are you a WW Lifetime Member who has gained back some weight and is trying to lose it again? Join us in this thread for support, encouragement and friendship. We start a new thread every Monday morning and contribute to it throughout the week. We are usually pretty active, so we should be near the top of the recent replies, if you can't find us enter "Beginning Again" in the search bar.
Everyone is welcome to join a wonderfully supportive group of new friends. We have a great community of support for returning Lifetime and Maintenance Members, as well as other members who are embarking on their weight loss journey again.
The Beginning Again thread on this Board and the old Weight Watcher board has attracted and supported over 100 BAM (Beginning Again Members) since March 30, 2001. The resulting sorority of kindred spirits has been vital to the recovery of dozens of Lifetime Members who had regained some, or all and then some of the weight they'd originally lost at WW.
It is our belief in the support and camaraderie found in the Beginning Again community that engendered the decision to re-post this invitation at the beginning of each week. So let the journey Begin – Again!

Had my coffee and cooking up some hummingbird food. Put out feeder 15 of April and take down 15 of October. Need to clean a bit for company coming tomorrow for a couple of days. Beautiful outside today so better make hay while the sun is shining.

Good morning. I also had my coffee (decaf) and then walked 3.6 miles with my backdoor neighbor. I need to run to Walgreens and pick up contact lens solution and at 2:30 we have haircuts.
Wordle in 3, Waffle with 5 swaps left - other puzzles not yet attempted.
Peg - thanks for the new thread.

Good Morning drinking coffee now! Been busy with everything! The weather was gorgeous this weekend crazy tulip traffic luckily I always go in the opposite direction. One of my friends went said it took an hour to get to one of the sites it should take 5 minutes once you enter the road there! I never go out unless it’s late in the evening it is a site to see! The colors can’t be described! I actually have walked every day not as tired as I was. Hopefully my hematologist will call me this week se what he says! Found to try to get a walk I this morning.
Peg thanks for the start!
Oh I got the book from Dave Carey, The Way We Choose, I spent Saturday reading it…wow he and all those POW’s are amazing how they handled it what they went through. Did I tell you my Uncle who served in Vietnam asked me to ask him if he knew Spike who was a POW he did! Now he’s sending my Uncle the book!
Ok need to get my walk in.

Hi! Spent about 90 minutes planting and transplanting stuff. I’m exhausted! Started to feel lightheaded, so watered everything and came in, got cleaned up and DH said he’ll take me to lunch.
It’s a gorgeous day - in the 70s - and was nice working in a tshirt. Still have things to plant but that will be tomorrow.
Luv - the photos of the tulips are so stunning, I’m sure they’re even better in person.
Nancy - were hummingbirds waiting for you?
Ok, better get my stuff together to go to lunch.

Luv, I remember the POW bracelets too. How great you read the book in a day and that he knew Spike! I wonder how he will feel reading that book. Will it bring back memories he'd rather not have? Will it be a bonding time for them both? It will be interesting to see his take on the book. It's wonderful you are feeling so much better! Just don't over do it.
RV, thanks for the reminder - I got my hummingbird feeders filled and out to wait for their arrival. Some have said they've already seen some here but it may just be the males for now as they prep for the females arrival. Either way, they'll need food. Another couple of weeks and I'll get the Oriole feeders out.
Yesterday was pretty much a waste as all I did was deliver a meal (or two or three) to DTBIL/DSIL and enjoyed seeing her without staying too long. She's pretty frail yet but said she feels so much better. I think she could probably wear DGD's clothes, she's so tiny now but her appetite is beginning to return and she'll see what she learns at the infection specialist today. She's so hoping she can stop the antibiotic administration trips every day. If so, I suspect they'll want to work on her bone issues next maybe. Then I think the dentist might be the final on her list of things she needs to deal with yet. Well, not the final as she has been on some pretty strong meds for far too long so that will be a difficult thing to come off of. To hear her laugh was priceless and the last minute I grabbed carrots I had from a roast I'd made to add to the meal delivery of which she told me to just put those in the fridge as they were going to be all hers! LOL I had no idea she liked carrots so much so glad I included them.
On the way home I stopped at the cheese store and then the grocery store for just a few things. DSD/DSIL and DGD rode bikes over and we all went for a bike ride together. DGD said her legs hurt, it was too far. I explained it's just building muscle (she has virtually none)! She's just a string bean! We'll maybe work on that this summer with some extra bike rides.
Today I've washed the kitchen windows and cleaned/polished some woodwork in the kitchen/bath. I've tried a couple of things to see which I like better. Tomorrow I'll decide if I should go the longer route or shorter process. Next upon, those ceiling fans! I also treated the furniture with Clorox freshener spray! I need to run a vacuum over it as well (probably should have done that first. Oh well. Oh my, my tummy is grumbling and as I look, it's lunch time! Best feed the animals in me first! We'll see what I decide to add to my day after that.

Have cheese ravioli for my vegan friend. Got lots of salad fixins and some tuscan style bread. Got those little frozen creme puffs and some Mrs. Fields cookies. The cookies will be for my Thursday card group. DH is feeling better and cleaning like mad. Hope he didn't overdo. Am trying to add lots of water to my diet. Once I start drinking it I want more, but it's the starting that's hard. Crazy isn't it.
Luv - Sometimes this world just gets smaller and smaller. I can't remember the name on my POW bracelet but I know my friend helped me get it back to him and he sent me pictures of his mantle with flags and bracelets.
Have stuff to do so BBL

Went for a walk with DD and DGD DGD loves to walk we walk about a mile and a half and she walks a lot of it by herself. It’s a slow walk. She’s pretty funny we go to this little stream and she throws rocks which she loves to do. It’s so funny dry and now DGD is imitating her I said so you gotta quit doing that in front of her!Lol. Then I decided to take on my linen closet. Oh my God I have had every pillowcase. I think I’ve ever owned rid of so much stuff now. DH says he can put his honey stuff in there and I said you don’t hunt anymore! Now I’m pooped…lol.
Betty I talked to my Uncle before I gave Dave his address. He said he’d love to read it I hope it helps my uncle he’s had a sad life he’s a lost soul. Hope dsil keeps feeling better.
RV dh feeds the hummingbirds all year even if urs freezing he brings them in at night puts them back in the morning. They get used to feeding in the same place they come all year and feed.
Jeanne my dh has lots of good qualities his worst one is he’d NEVER say let’s go to lunch….ir dinner for that matter! Lol
Hi Allison and anyone else I missed!

Got the final extensions filed and still waiting for 1 acceptance. Went to Trader Joe's and Costco this afternoon, got everything I needed for the P.E.O. brunch on Wednesday. The hostess now has pneumonia and we scrambled this morning to find another hostess. All good there, but now I will be both cooking and schlepping tomorrow. My house is too small to host 35 people! Waiting to hear back about timing.
All my invoices have been paid and I have 20 clients on extension. 2 are done, it's that their kids filed wrong, so the kids have to amend and the IRS has to process the amendment, then I can file. The IRS has not announced any additional disaster extensions, so only my San Diego clients are affected (about 5). A couple of them are done, they just want to wait to pay, I don't blame them. So today was about switching gears.
What did I do this morning instead of laundry? why I booked a cruise! From Vancouver to LA in mid-September. Between the wedding and the high holidays. We will spend one night in port in San Francisco, so we will be able to have dinner ashore with DD. I'm sure DS & DDIL (not future anymore!) will be busy as he'll be in extended deadline mode. Now I need to book airfare and an hotel for one night in Vancouver. DH is very happy and looking forward to it.
Nancy - same with me, hard to start drinking water and then when I want it, it's not there. I need to have the big sippy cup on my desk.
Luv - so cool about the bracelet
Betty - I need to wash my kitchen cabinets too, after 6 years here, stuff does need a deep cleaning. We don't have any ceiling fans...can't say I miss cleaning them.
Jeanne - I want to get out into the garden also, so many things now are competing for my time.

Poor DSIL learned she needs to continue another 2 weeks of daily outpatient to get the antibiotics administered then they'll check her again. Her CRP was 20 but has now lowered to 9 with normal being 0.3 to 1. This wasn't what she was hoping for.

I was falling asleep while watching the finale of Rock the Block. Heading to bed as I am walking at 8 with my backdoor neighbor.
Gina - yeaaa for booking the cruise. The timing is perfect to relax after the wedding excitement.
Betty - sending more healing thoughts to DSIL.

Good morning from Paris! We had a full day yesterday, leaving the hotel at 10:30 to get to the Saint Chapel church by ticket time. It was as stunning as I remembered. From there it was about 13,000 steps of walking, amazing lunch and dinner, rain and wind and time in the Pompidou museum ( luckily since that’s when the worst of the weather happened) to see a Brancusi exhibit.
My flight home leaves at 4:30 so I only have this morning to enjoy the city. DSIL and I will head to a chocolate place while DD and Randi go shopping for clothes. I’ll leave for the airport at 12:30.
“Travelogue “ pix to follow. Be well and enjoy your day everyone.

Ste Chappell, an engineering marvel built in the 12th century. How did they use so many windows without the buildings collapse? It’s stunning

Caryn, safe travels! What a wonderful trip you had and time with DD, DSIL and his DM. Beautiful photos with more to come?
We overslept this morning! Oh my, it was nearly 6:30 and we flew out of bed hoping to be downstairs before DGD arrived though she is able to just come in a read or keep herself busy for a bit, if needed. I think DH made it down, not me however, before she was here. Yikes! The entire day will be off kilter now.
