misserin my DH is similar to your BF when he cooks. He's an amazing cook, but that's probably because he's not at all concerned about how much butter or salt he's using. And obviously those things make food delicious. I've been toying with the idea of trying to do low carb-high fat because it would make it slightly easier to have meals we can both enjoy. I don't know if you've looked into it, but I like the idea behind it. I've been back on WW since January, but I've mostly flirted around with the same 5 pounds so I should probably make a real commitment.

Suzie, that's a great idea, going to the nutritionist. Thanks for that! Birds, how much weight have you lost since your surgery? I'm down 44 pounds so far! It's certainly been an adjustment, and some days my stomach is a complete a-hole, but I'm happy so far!

Hiiii friends.
I had a pretty good weekend. My NYR beat the Canadians on Saturday to advance to the second round of the playoffs - and it was an exciting game! I didn't do anything special yesterday, but it was nice to relax since we didn't sit still when we took the week off the week before last.
Slightly annoyed because the landscaper showed up this morning to finish grading our yard/spreading the grass seed, but he was supposed to let us know when they were going to come so I could make arrangements for Stanley. So, this morning I had to rush to get ready, rush him to my parent's house, and rush to the bus. Not my favorite start to a Monday. But, at least it will get done. The yard looks so much bigger and I'm excited to plan some landscaping for the front of the house now too. Some cute little weeping trees or something. #adulting

Morning/afternoon Sara! I went to a WW meeting on Saturday morning, and it was a perfect topic for me ("all or nothing" thinking) and the leader stayed with me afterwards to chat and it was just nice. Excited to have a plan. Sometimes that is all I need in order to feel like I'm getting my shit together. Officially started counting points today. Went to a LuLaRoe party at my sister-in-law's on Saturday afternoon, and then spent a lot of time watching TV/movies with DH the rest of the weekend. It was gorgeous here but was a perfect weekend to nap. We had cleaners out on Thursday during the day so the house was already clean all weekend.

We had cleaners out on Thursday during the day so the house was already clean all weekend I love a clean house! Our house was super clean for hosting Easter last weekend, but then with the landscapers digging up the yard it seems like there is dirt tracked everywhere in the house! We are going to have to break out the cleaning supplies and clean again. I'm not the best at keeping things "clean," even though I LOVE LOVE LOVE a clean house. I'm glad your meeting went well - I had a leader years ago that was THE BEST - I followed her to several different centers, even driving 20+ minutes just to go to her meetings. I wonder if she still leads...

Good morning all. Work has been hectic so I have not been on as much as I would like.
It's been a very Monday kind of Monday. From stepping in dog poop this morning to having a screaming child with the diaper rash to end all diaper rashes (thanks explosive diarrhea all weekend it's been real) - basically my week started off real shitty. At least I can make awesome puns about it, that is how I cope apparently.
Mollz - did yo buy any LLR at the party? I have a love/hate with LLR.

Erika, that does sound really *shitty*!!! Sorry you're having a not so great day. I hope it only goes up.
I am super into LLR. I feel like I shouldn't be...but I am. I have a bunch of leggings, and few Carly dresses, and a couple Amelia dresses. I just love it.
Speaking of #adulting, we had a window company come out yesterday to give us an estimate. It's not in the budget right now, but I sure felt all old/married when we were sitting around with the guy talking about the future house plans we have.

Ugh, Erika, so much poop!
We also eventually have to do new windows. And new siding. And our roof maybe has another 5 years in it. It's amazing how quickly it all adds up...

loveforpitbulls I went to a car show with DH this weekend and there were two LLR vendors there. One of them had a pink box truck full of clothes with a little curtained off area to try things on. Apparently if you book a party with them, they just drive the truck to your house and park it out front. Crazy. I also have a love/hate thing with LLR. I resisted for a long time, but finally bought a pair of leggings and a skirt recently that I actually really love.

Hey guys-
Just catching up on the reading. I agree wholeheartedly about seeing a nutritionist. I love mine, and when I follow her plan, I'm not starving, and I lose weight. I got to my highest adult weight this Christmas, and I am down 15 pounds since Jan 2. Unfortunately, my motivation is currently lagging, and I've gained a few back, but according to my gym measurements, I'm almost back to my June numbers regarding my lean muscle mass and fat mass. I"m still up a few inches, but my pants are fitting so much better, and I haven't cried getting dressed in the morning in a few weeks.
In regards to purchasing a house, I could do it if I never contributed to my retirement accounts, or saved for anything. Sadly, I'll need a man to buy a house. I'm ok living at home with my mom though, I take care of the outside duties, grass, snow, leaves, etc, for the house, and I"ve gotten to be awesome groundskeeper.

I spend the weekend taking care of DFB's dog. I don't mind, I love this pup and I'm pretty sure I'm his favorite as well! Had to take him to the vet Saturday morning and then spent the rest of the day and Sunday waiting on him! lol
Hardly slept last night as he took over the whole bed with his cone...DBF is on his own tonight, I'll take him tomorrow!

I had a nice, relaxing weekend. I'm struggling with transitioning out of school and having so much free time, so I decided to take some community ASL classes just for fun. It's been a blast, and I had the opportunity to meet up with some of my classmates to practice over coffee. I'm slowly transitioning into having a social life again. It kind of sucks. I spent the last year working on my masters and I kind of had to put my relationships and shit on hold because I was completely consumed with FT work, FT school and PT internship, I barely had the time to breathe. Now I have practically nothing on my calendar, and my friends have kinda..moved on? I feel like I'm annoying them now when I ask what they're up to and suggest meeting for coffee or something like that. Obviously I can't expect everyone around me to put their lives on hold until I was done with school, but now that I'm done I feel like I'm looking around and asking where everyone went. On the bright side, I spend a lot of time with my little sister now. We're planning her wedding for next fall, so it's been fun throwing ideas around and building our relationship a little more. Annnnnnyway sorry for my emo dump

I got food poisoning or something this weekend. I didn't even go out Saturday night and was throwing up Sunday morning. AT least I felt better by the time we went to brunch.
I ordered some LLR leggings and my mom is bringing them on our trip. I hope they aren't too thin!

Sorry that took over your weekend, but at least you made it to lunch! Re: LLR leggings - I don't think you'll find them to be too thin. I have 3 pairs and I definitely like them, but I almost feel like they are too thick? I don't know if that's the right word because they aren't exactly thick either. There's something about the texture that is definitely lovely and comfortable, but i can't wear them to sleep because they make my legs way too hot.

beautifulmess I sleep sans pants so that won't be a problem! My friend once bought me some target leggings that she loves. I did not feel comfortable wearing them as just pants. My favorite are the leggings pants from uniqlo. I swear by them!

The LLR leggings are definitely a unique material. I didn't love them the first time I wore them to be honest. But after the second time, I really liked the way they felt. I just get so overwhelmed when I look through the LLR stuff online or at events. It's so many patterns for some reason I can't ever decide and 9 times out of 10 I don't buy anything.

I think so many of the LLR prints are so ugly. And all the power clashing they seem to encourage with their tops and bottoms. Sorry you're not feeling well saladflambe!

Yes - I look through most of the prints and wonder who in their right mind would order them. I have three pairs that I bought to wear around the house, and likely never in public. One pair has lightbulbs on them (my dad owns a lighting store); another pair has teeny purple and teal elephants (my mom's fav colors are purple and teal and her fav animal is elephant so I had to buy them); and the third pair is a bright purple background with these pretty roses on them - they call them the "beauty and the beast" pair - I just thought they were pretty. Again, I'll likely never wear any of them out of the house, aside from walking my dog.

I have 2 pairs of LLR leggings that are the same trumpet/musical instrument print but in 2 different colors. I play (more like played as I only do a couple games a year now) the trumpet and thought they'd be fun to wear to some of the instrumental music concerts or events I attend. I have 2 shirts that my sister gave me that are still sitting in their packaging. The solid gray color shirt I may wear eventually, but the other one I have to figure out how long I have to wait to donate as I received it this past Christmas. Just not my style or good color combo for me.

I agree about the patters. A ton of my co-workers wear them, and they almost hurt my eyes. I would like a pair of nice black leggins though.

But I can never find them, they're always sold out or out of stock. Probably because people don't want to make their own eyes bleed by buying up the other patterned ones

I like to wear plain tunics/dresses from LLR with the patterned leggings. Most of the patterns I have are geometric, or feathers, or floral. I love the floral ones. But I totally agree - they are too hot to sleep in, which is weird! They are super soft but just must not be very breathable.
I think I'd be a good LLR consultant...I love styling people and mixing and matching clothing. But I just don't think I could bring myself to do any type of direct sales.

And they rarely make black ones anymore!!! There are some plain colored ones (not black) that pop up every now and again.
