Good morning!
I feel like part of a detergent ad today - the one about things being "whiter and brighter". With the new lens in my left eye, everything is whiter and brighter than with the right eye. Who knew that our refrigerator was really that white?
I have a check up with the eye doctor this morning. All seems fine to me. No pain at all, not even any irritation. But with the number of different eye drops that I have to use multiple times a day, I'm not surprised.
Tuesday: GHGs - needed more veggies Liquids: good Activity: 5.11 mile easy stroll Calories: green Mindful eating: good

Good morning! Whatthehell happened to yesterday, I ask me self.
What good news all around! Hey Regina, can you see me over here in Maine now? I'm waving!
Wombat, especially; no freakin way could I run in triple digits. No. Way. Pepper's snack fairy earrings always kill me.
Good luck with the docs/va Sherry. Geez, they have paperwork for bathrooms? I'm sure there's a story there....

*squints very hard and makes out a white smudge on the horizon* I think I see you Q!
Happy anniversary!!!!! And great that you still fit in your dress! I plan to pull mine out of its hermetically sealed box next month to see how it fits. I weigh less than on my wedding day but things have redistributed. It will be 25 years for us.
V - great to see you!

I made my dress. It cost about $200 in materials, including the fishing line in the ruffled edges! I harbor no illusions about DD wearing it. It was 1984.
But I did wear it a couple of years ago as a zombie bride for Halloween!

My mom made my dress. I loved it. Except the part about being glued into it because (1) she never finishes anything on time, and (2) I kept losing weight prior to the wedding. Those were the days, having to work to keep my weight up to 110 pounds.

I also made my wedding dress. 1991. The bodice was from crazy expensive lace ($175/yd?) that had sequins and pearls sewn on it. There was a LOT of hand sewing to put it all together. I'll try to find a photo that I have previously scanned in to post when it gets closer to our anniversary date. I started making the dress in January for an August wedding. Long sleeves seemed like a good idea at the time . The church was NOT air conditioned and it was hot and humid on our wedding day. I almost passed out from all the heat that the dress trapped. Note: I am prone to heat issues especially when I have to stand for long periods of time. The minister kept his remarks short as I had to sit down during one of the hymns otherwise I would have passed out.

I almost passed out from all the heat that the dress trapped. Ha! How different we were! I found my perfect dress while shopping at a salon, sat and made notes about it in the dressing room, and planned it out. I started it two weeks before the wedding. My mother was apoplectic. I was calm; I knew I'd get it done. And I did. In a week! what was she worried about?//// and oh, the long sleeves back then! It is amazing how it it all so different now. Those big, poufy sleeves......

*skids into the thread*
Hi,hi,hi! Happy Anniversary to the Q'wonderfuls!!! And yes to the dress fitting-that's fantabuliffic. Your dress stories are making me smile and a bit jealous. Mom gave us 4 girls her wedding dress to play dress up in, and bought several other at yard sales/thrift shops. We have some cool pix of 4 little blond girls in wedding dresses on the swing set.
It only took me until 3:15 to get myself to the gym. I've got to get my head in this. At least I'm caught back up with the schedule for tomorrow.
I hope you're all having a lovely evening, and that Q is having lobstah and...
Regina-so glad to hear good surgery results!
