Tracked it all again yesterday. Not so great calorie wise as it was a dominoes pizza kind of a night, but I'm not upset. We walked at lunch, I took the dogs to the dog park while Ryan was painting and got more walking in there, took my vitamins, drank my water.

Yesterday was a bit nuts so I didn't post here. Monday was a relatively normal day. I spent the morning doing yard work so considered that my exercise for the day. Yesterday I went on a hike with a friend and then we had a picnic in the park with some other friends. I came home and had stuff to do so didn't post again. Not a great day yesterday as I succumbed to some fudge that was brought for the picnic.

I try to give myself a pat on the back every day. I forgot my Wednesday weigh-in so I put down last Sunday's reading just for accountability.
Latest confession:I continue to resist enlisting a buddy for accountability. I just don't like it. I consider this a personal journey and I don't like the idea. I tend to develop resentment when reporting my activities or doing things in tandem with someone else. I need to really work on this instead of blowing it off. I do have an active back-and-forth with a coworker friend who is really into fitness. I really admite her commitment. She is in no way intrusive and never pushes me, she is encouraging when I reach out. So I guess that counts, huh?
More baby steps, then.

pirouette, I've had coaches from this group and it has been helpful. But now, I'm finding that posting here daily is really helping me. Both with accountability but also in writing out what is going on, it helps me think about what problems I need to solve. I decided I'd had enough with struggling with late night snacking. I rewrote my daily cards. yesterday to include STs for a rule that says no eating after dinner. Period. I resisted STs yesterday. Thought about my strengthening muscles instead of snacking. I've also listed the actions I want to take when I am faced with this desire. I did well with it yesterday but that is one day. It felt good to check everything off as positive on the habit tracker and I'm going to try to keep that feeling going to encourage me today. I have the same struggle with feeling that I absolutely have to have something sweet in sweet and high calorie after a meal.. While talking to a patient about smoking cessation to include changing habits and routines I decided to take the same approach. Find out what activities(tv, reading) I pair my food intake with and change it. Nothing new of course, this has been a common topic with Beck and with my Noom app but I am trying a different approach.

I'm still tracking. I ran out of vitamins so I'll refill my weekly container tonight and take my vitamins after dinner. After a stellar week last week this week has been lacking with meal planning, but I did take out some hamburger this morning to make taco meat for dinner. It's pretty simple but it works. Lots of water still, but no walking at lunch today. It was pouring out.

Yes, I have to change the trigger that causes me to snack - it is usually reading or watching something on my iPad in the family room. If I do it elsewhere In the house, I don't feel the need to snack. Habits are weird.
Last night I resisted STs to snack by just staying upstairs and going to bed. So that's 2 days in a row!

I'm still tracking!! I managed to get my vitamins in last night.
Today is graduation day for my partners oldest, and while I planned to make a couple of recycle runs since I'm off today, I think I'm going to suggest we do our weekend Costco run instead. I'll be gone all day tomorrow for sissys soccer tournament and I'm taking the dogs with me so he can continue painting, so it would be good to get the groceries for the week done before the madness of the weekend sets in.
Oh! I did some ab and leg exercises last night. It's been weeks since I've even tried to do anything like that at home.

I slipped up a little yesterday in my resolve but to my credit, I recognized that I was tired and went to bed early. Feeling much better this am. I am enjoying having the mindfulness bell go off at random. I don't always hear it as I'm not by my phone the whole day. But when I do, I either take 5 slow easy breaths if I'm in the middle of something. If I'm not, I will stop and do 2-5 mins of pranayama - more controlled breathing exercises from yoga.

I had a good day yesterday. I went to bed at a decent time because I was tired. Woke up at 11:30 pm, was up till about 1:30-2 am. Went back to bed, Woke up 4:30 am and have been up since. I didn't do well in the 11:30- 1-is am period but I did very well in the 4:30 am to now period. I got a bunch of stuff done, did my usual morning routine but now I am dragging. I may go and take a nap so the rest of the day isn't ruined. I may skip the yard work I was planning.
It was a rest day for exercise yesterday

I've got 20 days of tracking under my belt right now. Too much running around this weekend. SOs firstborn graduated hs on Friday and we picked up/dropped off his mom which added 100 plus miles roundtrip to our Friday evening. I don't regret it at all, she's a lovely person and her husband is recovering from a back surgery. Yesterday sissy had a soccer tournament about an hour away, with four hours in between games. Not enough time to go home to do anything before the second game. I stopped at a grocery store to get some relatively healthy food (packaged salad) and we took the dogs to the dog park for about an hour. Gone ten hours yesterday for that. Today is another soccer game but it'll probably only be one and we'll only be gone a few hours. We have loads of leftovers in the fridge, so I think it'll be salad with assorted leftover proteins for dinner.
Poor SO has been busting his balls to get this house painted. It's absolutely beautiful but we are just exhausted between kids, parents, dogs and house stuff.

I managed to survive through the normal bedtime yesterday. I tried to take a nap and did lay down with my eyes closed for an hour in the am but I found I was just dozing and not really napping. So I got up and exercised. I thought I'd do a shorter exercise because I was so tired but amazingly I did my full workout. Kept busy the rest of the day but did climb in bed early and watch some mindless videos till bedtime. I was pretty brain dead by then but I got everything done that I wanted to get done, except for yard work.
I slept sw well last night and woke up really feeling refreshed this am. Which is good because it is another busy day. I am trying to get ready for a display of my fiber-y creations at a local library starting July 5th. It is supposed to be the month of July but I won't be here till the 4th. We are leaving next Wed for a 10 day trip to visit family so I have to get everything made, labeled and all set up before I leave. This space is very big so I need to finish at least 1 more item before I leave. Plus I made gifts for some family members and to send with my daughter for two people in her condo complex who have been very friendly and lovely to us. We met them when we stayed at her condo last year doing DIY projects before she moved in. They always send us little things when they find out she's going to see us. We then run around looking for small gifts to send back in return. I've been wanting to make them something bigger because they also take care of my daughter - they will take packages to their place so they aren't lying around if the packages are small enough, bring her things to eat (both of them bake a lot), and so on. I'll be seeing my daughter at the family reunion so I had to finish those also.
Plus I'm getting some plants this week that need to be planted and set up before we leave. So lots of juggling going on.
