lani, Thanks! It was a low speed on my part, but I think higher speed on his part. The end result is that I have significant damage to my car, none to his and now he wants to claim that it wasn’t his fault at all. I had barely move 2-3 feet outside my parking spot and he backed up in a hurry from almost right behind me. Well, this is why we have insurance. Mine is going to pay because I don’t think I’m going to hear from him again.

Yesterday was a bit of a mess. We had a lot of running around to do to get estimates on the damage, calls with insurance agents, setting up mulch around newly planted shrubs, buying more mulch, and other errands. As a result I didn't read any cards or log any food and honestly, the whole day is a blur in my mind.

Hi, Been AWOL, and a bit out of control, and we all know what that means 🙄 Buckling down so I can hopefully keep my free LT WW streak going. My coach and I started doing a Beck review using Mare's last sessions as a guide. I feel better just having read the Foreward, Intro, and Chapter 1.

Still logging, not pushing myself on the exercise but trying to stay more active. Trying to keep motivation stable by not overwhelming myself with things I 'must' do. Sustainable is what I keep telling myself. The Jif recall might be helping-none of the other brands are to my liking.

pirouette, I was amused to see that yesterday I had done 12 floors and 10K steps without doing any exercise. Running around putting mulch down, setting up irrigation, packing, etc. definitely seem to be 'active' for me ツ Spontaneous exercise is good! Keep it up!

I deliberately ate unplanned food yesterday. I had to go to the gyn for an annual visit and it was in a new location to me. I noticed a local ice cream shop across the street and bought a pint to take home to SO. We both ate a little yesterday and will spread it out over a number of days. It was good and worth it.
Otherwise, more of the same. Lots of steps and stairs but no planned exercise because stuff needs to get done before we leave tomorrow. Today will be spent in getting all the claims stuff done so the auto body shop can order the parts, and fingers crossed they'll show up after we return and after my surgery so the car can be fixed soon.

eta: I will post when I can while I'm away but I'm not planning to check in daily although I am planning to read my cards, log food, and select what I eat carefully. I am thinking about taking my yoga mat and block and Pilates exerciser with me so I can get in some of that exercise. There will be some days of no exercise, some hiking and probably some walking. I might try to go for a run one day.

Tuesday Reality Check: Make sure you are getting to bed on time! Not getting enough sleep/not prioritizing sleep is the single biggest thing you can do to sabotage your healthy eating habits. Sleep hygiene is something I continually have to prioritize. I tend to take it for granted, I know it is not optimal because I indulge in way too much screen time.

Hi folks, I do pretty well with sleep except last night DH turned the fan down a notch and I was too hot to sleep well My Oura ring told me so! I am working at getting back to my happy-Beck place. My mantra is BBB "back to Beck basics".

Sleep is something I don’t do well. When I go to bed I normally sleep great but I stay up until about 1 am and then get up with DH for coffee before he starts his day. At least the day starts later now that he semi-retired, 7:30 instead of 6:30.

Definitely having some sleep issues lately, since my roommate has started caterwauling nightly at around 3:30am. It's very hard to sleep through. Letting her into my room is even harder to sleep through. We have her annual checkup in a couple of weeks, I will be asking about that first.
Good day yesterday. Happy to get back into routines again. Credits: Tracked, stayed OP, planned today's meals, got in 10k+ steps, in touch w coach, did Beck reading.

Wednesday Sabotage: I’m not able to lose weight right now, so I should just give up. Response: Even if weight loss isn’t possible during this exact moment, weight maintenance is SO MUCH BETTER than gaining weight! At least in maintenance, I get to continue feeling in control and not worry about my health suffering or my clothes getting tight. Maintenance is so, so worth it. Yesterday was a good day. I stuck to plan though I didn’t exercise. But I got in my steps and stairs so there was a lot of spontaneous exercise. We both ate the ice cream I bought on Monday so not strictly according to plan but there was no snacking.

Timely. Noom lessons this week are on maintenance. Which is perfect for where I am now. With a LOT of weight to lose getting maintenance habits ingrained and reinforced really helps me focus on the long game.

Boy, I am stuffed! I had lunch with friend whom I haven't seen in a few months. It was worth it. We'll see what the price is tomorrow.
