Thursday
Out of town - ate out twice. Very limited menus but I made decent choices and left food on my plate. Didn’t have planned exercise but got in some extra walking and flights of stairs. I realized I’m getting lax about reading my cards. That stops today.

Just checking in. I’ve been trying to eat per my plan with a few exceptions.
1. I’ve been good about eating only at meal times; have been avoiding the snacking that comes up when family gets together 2. I’ve been very selective about desserts; no alcohol and drinking a lot of water - not enough but as much as I can 3. I’m being careful about portion sizes since there is a lot of good food around
I only logged all my food for the past few days just now. I have been reading my cards and filling out the habit tracker daily.
I brought my yoga and pilates stuff but haven’t done it yet. Going for a hike this am and will do some pilates later today.

Hi all, Several good food days in a row. All the snacky stuff is out of the house. I have to work my way back to having it around right now. When there's none around, I'm much better at not being a snackhole. Edamame or fresh fruit again for now.
Started back with using my meal plan pad and listing options to choose from, though am just going day-by-day with a menu right now.
My coach and I are doing well w our own Beck review and staying in touch.
I'm making a note of things to give myself credit for, but will just report weekly here for now.
Happy times on the scale this morning.

Yesterday I hiked a short, relatively easy trail but then after lunch, we went to some giant sand dunes and I climbed 3 of them to get the view of the water. All in all, I had 13K steps and 42 floors.
I did eat a little dessert after dinner but declined it at lunch. Stuck to a veggie/cheese panini.
Today will be the challenge because we’ll be at my niece’s beach house all afternoon.

I want to go to the beach. The real ocean beach that smells briny, with sand that goes on forever and foamy-topped waves furling back and forth. I miss that here.
Another good day yesterday. Interesting timing with Mare's tip about meal plans. I don't know why I sometimes resist doing the formal plan for my week. Even if it's just a list of what's available to choose from, it really takes very little time and also helps me manage my fresh stock.

We are traveling again! Hopefully home on Thursday. Not a great day today. I picked a keto meal at lunch, it was higher than my normal lunch so my Tuesday taco dinner put me over. It had t happened much so I forgave myself and moved on.
Walked around Home Depot after supper to get my planned exercise in. One day at a time.

Still hanging out with family. Yesterday, we were at a niece’s beach house so not much activity. I avoided the mindless snacking in between the meals by staying out on the porch or the beach. I also made sure to drink only water - brought my water bottle with me and kept it filled. We ended up eating lunch leftovers for dinner so I just ate a big plate of salad (vegetables) with a little dressing and croutons and added some leftover cheese from the appetizer tray for protein.
I did eat a little dessert - not the s’mores that were being made outside but something else.
So not too bad a day.
