Hi, June. Almost halfway through the year.
Right now being kind to myself through some ongoing very stressful situations is the most important thing.
My food intake is something I can control, which leads to losing weight, which is being kind to myself.

I posted a couple weeks ago after having been away awhile. I think went quiet again in part because 5 or 6 pages of thread were too many for me to get through at once. I need to start early in the month and keep up as people post.
I had maintained for over a year then gained 4-5, which my doctor told me was good at my age, but then gained more, which I am sure is not good and of course that could keep happening. Haven't been able to shake those last 3-5 and I realized my eating habits and attitude toward them have deteriorated. Then DH had some health issues which were turning me into a nearly full-time care giver but fortunately that has passed somewhat (DS is visiting and helping so much and DH is getting better). I had already come to the same conclusion as cyn - namely, staying on plan and eating right were the best things I could do for myself rather than use this as an excuse. Cyn, your description of being kind to myself that way is a great way to think about it.
I am down 1.5 - 2 since posting a couple weeks ago. Now to focus on sitting when I eat.

I would like to resume meditating. I always drop it when I'm traveling and it takes me some time to start up again.

I planned my meals for yesterday. I ate those meals yesterday. I tracked those meals yesterday. I binge watched a bunch of Ted Lasso eps yesterdqy, which I absolutely classify as self-care. I have a plan for today's meals. I was getting overwhelmed with meal planning ahead for a whole week, so I'm going one day at a time at it right now. I reached out to my coach and apologized for not being in touch. crewer, sometimes I feel bad when I don't acknowledge posts here because I've missed days/pages. Then I get overwhelmed trying to back read to catch up, so I just stop completely which is totally counter-productive to the whole process. I'm thinking it's better to come when I can and actually use the thread for my own accountability. That leads to routine, and then I don't miss good stuff others share. I'm glad you're getting help, and that your DH is doing better.

Sunday credits: Tracking streak continuing. I had a small oops, but tracked it and had the points. I visited my friend who's home from the hospital waiting for a liver to become available for transplant. He is not in good shape, and I'm worried about his ability to manage on his own. I walked partway home to decompress, and managed to resist stopping for emotional pizza or other comfort indulging.

Jun 2: Don't know what happened but I didn't log or do anything else. I did edit two cards.
Jun 3: I was out all day and ate reasonably well till I got home and was so hungry I ate everything
Jun 4: Logged food for Jun 3 and 4 Exercised Gave myself credit I was so exhausted and in so much fibromyalgia pain yesterday that I went to bed at 7:45 pm and woke up at my usual 6:30 am this morning. I feel better today but will have to see if it continues. I took 2 naproxen before I went to bed. I don't like taking it regularly but it does help.
We had no internet all weekend due to a screw-up at the ISP so I didn't feel like posting because I hate typing on my phone

I've been experiencing some low back pain (which I never have). I think it's a combo of crappy hotel mattresses, airplane seats, wrangling luggage, too much sitting in general. Took an Aleve this morning and amped up my back stretches. I may break out the foam roller and see if hitting the butt and legs helps any.

lani, I hope you feel better! I hate hotel mattresses in general. Too soft for me. I am feeling better today but I usually do in the am. It is in the afternoon/evening that the fatigue and pain creeps up. At least I slept well last night and no meds. Greetings, Today is #16 in my tracking streak. I'm going to meet some friends at the soccer pub to root for their team in the Europa Conference Championship match. I have pre-tracked all my meals, and have enough points left for some beer. I will walk both ways-one-way is roughly 5K. I have deferred picking up some of the good NY style pizza I recently found nearby until another time, as I am determined to get to my WW mtg tomorrow showing a loss on the scale! ermabom thank goodness for healing sleep...
