My favorite designer was Lizzie Kate but she retired. I do like the designs that Little Stitch Girl and her mother have come up with. I also just started stitching a couple of designs by Stitching with the Housewives.

Good Morning, I am working on a baby afghan for my great nephew and hope to get it finished by the middle of September so that my brother can take it to his DD when he goes to visit her.
Have a good day and keep stitching!

Good Morning, I always have something to stitch so that when we have someplace to go to I can bring it along and get some stitching in. Yesterday we had a rosary to attend for my 2nd cousin's husband. The rosary was 1 1/2 hours away so I brought the baby afghan that I am stitching and was able to get a lot of back stitching (outlining) done. The rosary was very nice and the funeral home was full with over 150 people there to share their stories and love for the family. The funeral is today and I will be thinking about everyone who has lost a loved one.

Good Morning! Just wondering when everyone gets their stitching time in. I like to stitch for an hour before I come into work, it seems that the light is better and the house is quiet. In the evening there is so much going on with the family and I'm tired from a day at work, fixing supper and then there is those days that I have to stop at the grocery store and pick up a few things. Yesterday, after I attended Bible Study I needs to make a quick run to Sam's Club and pick up 1 thing that ended up with a grocery bill close to $200!, does that ever happen to anyone else?
Have a good day and keep stitching!

Hi fellow stitchers! I hope to get a lot of stitching done this weekend, have 2 blocks to finish stitching and still working on the back stitching on another one. When I get it all finished then it will still take me about a week to tie the fringe. I have so many other projects that I want to start by need to get this one finished first, the little great nephew turned 4 months today.

Good Morning, Well, I didn't get as much stitching as I was hoping to. I did get some back stitching done, it really does make the pattern pop, not sure why I dislike doing the back stitch. Anyone else dislike back stitching? I usually back stitch while I am stitching so that I don't have all of it to do at the end. Have a good start of a good week everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Just wondering if anyone ever enters their projects in your local fairs or even your State Fair. I have entered in our county fair but am always disappointed that the judges don't give you any feed back on how you can improve your stitching. I didn't enter anything in the State Fair this year because I spent most of my year working on the never ending baby afghan but last year I did enter a couple of things and was please with the placing that I received. The judges also put comments on the back of the registration card letting me know what they liked and didn't like about my work. I'm hoping that next year I will have some projects to enter in both fairs.
Have a good Stitching Day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers! Anyone else have more patterns than they will ever stitch in their lifetime, even if they live to be 150 years old? I just order a couple of patterns and am thinking about ordering one more to complete a set. I'm still working on the never ending baby blanket but my fingers are itching to start something new. A couple of weekends ago I did pick up a quick pattern to stitch and it felt good to get it finished, now to finish finish it. Have a good stitching day everyone!

Hi there Stitchers! I had yesterday off from work to get ready for my DB who came for a visit. I wanted to clean house but instead spent time stitching the never ending baby afghan that I am working on for my great nephew, grandson to my DB. DB told me that if I got the afghan finished while he was here that he would take it with him when he goes to visit his daughter and her family, no going to happen. I did some quick figuring in my head to see how many more hours of stitching I have for this afghan and figure 15 would be a good guesstimate but that is only for the stitching of the x's not the back stitching that will need to be done. There is also the tying of the fringe so I need to add another 7-8 hours. I think that this afghan is the most detailed on that I have ever stitched to give as a gift, hope that she likes it.
Have a good Labor Day Weekend everyone, see you on Tuesday!

Good Morning Fellow Stitchers!
Hope that everyone had a good Labor Day Weekend. I spent a lot of the weekend stitching on the never ending baby afghan and can maybe see the ending! I had 4 squares to stitch and did get 2 of them finished. The other 2 squares I only have 1 color to finish and then the back stitching. It will still take me over a week to get it finished since I have to pull threads and tie the fringe. I did spend some time looking over some of the patterns that I have on hand trying to decide which one I will work on next. My sister suggested that I work on a small project which was what I was thinking. In October there is a stitching challenge put on by a facebook stitching page that I will do, stitch for 30 minutes a day, post your stitching on their facebook page and if you meet all the requirements they will send you a needle minder. I have done this a couple of times and I find that I get a lot stitched and the needle minder is so cute!! Have a good day and enjoy a shorter work week everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I'm still working on the baby afghan but can see the end coming very soon. The afghan has 4 ladybugs, 4 butterflies and 4 bumble bees on it. I was able to find a couple of gifts to go along with the afghan, these gifts (toys) have the same bugs as the afghan. I wasn't even looking for anything else to give the little guy but when I saw these toys I know that it was a sign. I even found a nice decorated box from Hobby Lobby to put everything in and then will put the box in another box to ship it to him. Mom can use the box from Hobby Lobby to store things in for him, I'm always looking for storage ideas.
Have a good stitching day and keep those needles moving!

Hi fellow stitchers!
I thought that I have one of the 2 squares finished this morning but then realized that I still have some back stitching to do on it. I'm stitching black on black and I couldn't tell that it wasn't stitched until I turned it over and checked the back. I am hoping that I can get it stitched tonight and then I will have only one more square to finish.
Have a great night and hope that you get some stitching time in.

Good Morning stitchers!
I don't have any real plans for this weekend except to work on the baby afghan, almost finished stitching, should finish the stitching tomorrow and then can spend Sunday tying the fringe. I would love to get if finished in time to have my brother take it to his grandson when he goes to visit soon.
I ordered some material for my next project and tracking yesterday showed that I should receive it today but when I checked this morning it now says not until tomorrow. Probably for the best because if I got it today then I would be tempted to start it tomorrow and the afghan wouldn't get finished.
Have a good weekend and hope that you can find some time to stitch.

Good Morning Stitchers! Well I was able to get the never ending baby afghan finished on Saturday and finished tying the fringe on Sunday. Yesterday I had a funeral to go to and from there drove another 1 1/2 hours to my brothers to give it to him so that he can take it with him when he goes for a visit this next weekend. I was going to start a new project but while I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do I came across a few projects that need to be finished so I brought them down and finished one of them yesterday. I think that I should be able to finish the other one sometime this week.
Have a good day and keep stitching!

Happy Wednesday Stitchers!
I didn't have time to stitch last night so the project that I thought that I would finish still isn't done. I did stitch on it this morning before I came into work and hope to get some stitching done on it tonight.
I do have a new pattern that I brought into work with me to make a working copy. I will even enlarge it so that it is easier to see/read. Anyone else make working copies of their patterns? I never did that until I was doing a project and the pattern needed to be folded up when I put it away and saw that were there is a crease, I couldn't see the symbols to know what color to use. After that I make working copies of everything that I do.
Have a good Stitching Day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers! I had Bible study last night but still managed to get some stitching in. I put the one project aside and picked up another project to stitch on. This other project I am taking my time with, hoping that it will turn out nice and I will enter it in the county and state fairs in 2024. I even have the frame for this project so that when it is finished I can try framing it myself. Anyone do their own framing or do you stitch projects that don't need to be framed like small pillows and such.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Was anyone able to get anything stitching done last night? I thought about it but decided that I was too tired. I did get some stitching in this morning. DH and I are going out of town tomorrow so I will take one of my projects with me so that I have something to work on. Have a good weekend everyone and keep stitching!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Hope that everyone had a good stitching weekend! I was able to finish a Little Stitch Girl design Sunday morning. I also started another Little Stitch Girl pattern, I'm stitching it on black 28 even weave and I am finding out how hard it is to stitch on black. I did put a white piece of paper under the fabric and it does make it a little easier to stitch. A couple of years ago I purchased a tracing pad at Sam's Club and found it in my stash this morning. I figured that I would need to get some batteries for it but it charges with a USB port to plugged it in before I left for work and will try it when I get home tonight.
Just wondering, what was the hardest fabric/material that you have ever stitched on.
Have a good Monday and hope that you can get some stitching time in today.

Good Morning Stitchers!
Remember that I wrote about a light box that I found to help me stitch on the 28 black evenweave? Well, when I went to use it I discovered that it needs to be kept plugged in in order for it to work. When I have it plugged in it works, when I unplug it, it stops working. I will either need to move my stitching to a chair that has a plug in close by but that also means that I will need to move my stitching light, or I need to find an extension cord that is long enough so that I can keep the light box plugged in. I'm not sure which option I will do but am leaning towards using an extension cord, just hope that there is an open outlet that I can use.
I did get some stitching done this morning and am enjoying the Little Stitch Girls pattern. She likes to design using plaids and I have never stitched a plaid pattern. Once I get it figured out I'm sure that the stitching will go fast.
Have a good Tuesday everyone and keep stitching!

Good Morning everyone!
It's taking me a while to get use to stitching on black but I do like it. I will like it even more when I can move on to the darker colors that are in this pattern. Anyone else have trouble when you stitch with white? I have trouble getting my stitches to lay even. I have been stitching using the railroad method and it does help. It also helps when I let the needle dangle every few stitches. I hope to be able to move onto the next colors either tonight or tomorrow morning. Wish that I could figure out how to post pictures on this page.
Have a good Wednesday everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers! This morning I decided that I will start a new project, by the same designer Little Stitch Girl. I am having a hard time stitching in the evenings because the material I am stitching on is black and it's hard to see the holes, even with a white piece of paper on my lap. This new project will be something that I will only stitch on in the evenings and the current project I will stitch on in the mornings and during the day. I did bring in the new pattern to make a working copy, enlarged it so that it is easier to read. It's OK for me to make copies since my boss is also my husband and he tells me that making working copies of my cross stitch patterns is a perk that I have because I work for him. Does anyone else have more than one project that you are working on! Enjoy your Thursday everyone and hope that you can find some you time today.

Hi everyone!
WOW! The day is going by so fast today. I am really going to need to sit down and do some stress relieve by cross stitching when I get home.
I hope to get supper ready and in the oven tonight before college volleyball starts, I love watching any high school and college sport, no so much the pro sports. I am able to get a few stitches in while I am watching games but not as must as I do when I just sit and stitch.
Anyone else able to do something else when your stitching?
Have a good weekend everyone and I hope that you can find time to stitch!

Happy Monday Stitchers!
Hope that everyone found sometime to sit and stitch this weekend. I was able to get quite a bit of stitching done this weekend, even stitched during the University's volleyball games on Friday night and Sunday night. I am really liking the pattern that I am doing and hope to get if finished before Oct so that I can post it on my book of faces on October 1. I like to stitch pattern for each month and then post them on my book of faces page the beginning of each month. It's been a couple of years since I have had time to stitch new monthly's so will be excited to post something new this coming month. I have friends that have told me that they look forward to seeing what I post each month.
How do you share what you have stitched?
Have a great beginning of the week and keep those needles moving!

Good Afternoon Fellow Stitchers!
WOW! The morning really went fast today. I'm taking off from work early this afternoon to watch my nephew's football game. The game is in the next town so not really enough time to take my stitching with me. I did get some stitching in this morning and am on track to finish the Little Stitch Girl pattern that I have been stitching. I did find that if I stitch the boarder, it makes it easier to fill in the rest of the stitching.
Have a good day and keep those needles moving!
