Good Morning Stitchers!
Well, my favorite cross stitch store didn't have any beading needles. About a year ago, the cross stitch store caught on fire and the owner is slowly restocking. She told me that it's hard for her to know what she should be ordering, I'm sure that she had a lot of money in all the patterns, floss and fabric that was damaged because of the fire. I'm sure that they had insurance but she had so many finished pieces on her wall, it looks so different without all of her pretties. I did find some seed beads in her 70% bin, inventory that is usable but if has smoke damage so she is trying to sell what she can at a huge discount. She has wipes so that you can clean your hands after you are done looking. I hope that she is able to get back to where she was and doesn't have to shut her business.
I did get some stitching done this morning, I got my granddaughters weight and length stitched on her sampler, took me 4 times of stitching then ripping before I got it centered to where I like it. I still have her birth time to stitch, I did stitch it this morning but am not sure if I like the placement. Also have some buttons and then the seed bead for the birds eyes, sign it and I will be finished. I did stop at Michaels to pick up some beading needles and talked to their framer to get an estimate on what this will cost me to get it framed.
Have a good Tuesday everyone and keep on stitching!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Well, it's done!! I finished the 2024 Blessings Project Challenge this morning. Now to hand wash it and iron it before I take it to the framers. DD said that she would like to go with me so we need to find a day that works for the both of us.
Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I talked to my DD and she said that she would like to go with me when I have granddaughter's birth announcement framed. I'm glad that she wants to go with me since it will be hanging in her house.
This morning I worked on ripping stitches from the March Little Stitch Girl's Pinch Proof. I am going to remove all the stitches and start all over with it. If I kept it like it is, I would always wish that I would have changed it so even though this is taking me some time to get done, I know that I will be happy with it in the end.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I got a lot of stitches removed last night and this morning. I'm hoping to get all the stitches out tonight and then I need to hand wash the fabric and iron it.
Anyone ever order from the Nashville Cross Stitch Market? I just placed an order for a lot of new patterns and now I'm wondering what I was thinking. I will never be able to get all of these patterns stitched. I need to get back to stitching every night and I know that I can double the amount of projects that I get done.
I have a friend that likes to stitch and she placed on order and it is fun to see what patterns she likes compared to what I like to stitch. Everyone has their own taste and that is why there are so many designers around.
Have a good weekend and I hope that you all are able to get some stitching time in!

Good Morning Stitchers!
The weather here this weekend was colder and wet so I didn't get to the framers to get granddaughter's birth announce framed. I did find the other project that I finished a couple years ago that I want framed so will be taking both of them in at the same time.
Saturday I was able to get all the stitches removed from the project that I started and then decided that I didn't like the colors. I still need to brush it to remove all the floss fuss and then wash and iron it.In the mean time, I found a project that I kitted up a few years ago and decided to start working on it. It's another pattern by Little Stitch Girl, I just hope that the fabric that I have is large enough for the pattern.
I was able to work on organizing some of my floss, just need to cut some heavy card stock to use as dividers. I have my floss in portion control snack bags with a 3 x 5 index card with the floss number in each corner of the card so that it will be easier to find each color when I need it. I also an trying to put the project name on each card so that I can remember what I stitched using each floss. I started doing this as I was putting the floss for the birth announcement away. A couple of weeks ago I purchased a couple photo boxes but I know that I will need to get some more but will wait until they are on sale again.
Hope that everyone had a good weekend and that you were able to find some time to do something for yourself that you enjoy.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I got a good start on my new project, just wonder how long it will take for me to get bored with it and pick up a different project that I have started. Do anyone of you have more than one project that you have started and then get bored and pick up something different?
I stopped at a craft store yesterday to pick up a skein of floss that I need to finish a Halloween project that I think that I will take with me to the Super Bowl party that we are invited to this weekend. Last year at the party one of the guest brought her quilting with her so this year I am bringing my cross stitch but wont pull it out unless she starts with her quilting. I really hope that she brings her quilting, I love to see what she is doing and wish that my sewing machine and I got along so I could do some quilting. It's a good thing that there are a lot of different hobbies that I can choose to work on, no need doing something that you dislike.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I had a meeting last night but I was still able to get some stitching time in. The project that I am stitching is a Little Stitch Girl's pattern called Fa-la-la-la lane. I should finish with one of the colors that is used on the middle house and then will working on stitching the snow on the roof and the window sills which is stitched in white and I hate stitching with white, my stitches never look nice. Does anyone else have problems getting their white stitches to lay nicely?
Have a good day and Yeah for the middle of the work week!

Good Morning Stitchers,
I was able to get the one color of the middle house finished and started on the doorway. This project is really moving along nicely but I am ready to stitch with some color since the color that I finished was a very light grey and the doorway is stitched in white. The door is a red so I hope to get started on it tonight. I like my choice of fabric it is a light blue with white swirled through it. It also has some sparkle that will really pop out once I have it all stitched. The fabric is from Fabric Flair, and it is so soft and easy to work with.
Have a good day and hope that you can do some stitching.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I got some stitching done last night and again this morning, it really goes fast when I can stitch in the morning and then before I head to bed.
Not sure how much stitching time I will get in this weekend since it will be a very busy weekend for me. I do need to find that started project that I plan on taking to the Super Bowl party that we are going to. Like I said earlier, if my friend isn't there or doesn't take out her quilting my project will stay in the bag.
Have a good stitching weekend everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I did take my stitching to the Super Bowl party that we attended and even wore my double glasses and no one laughed at me. When I stitch, I wear a pair of readers (that I picked up at Dollar Tree) over my regular glasses. The first time I did this my DH laughed at me so I was worried that I would get some comments about it.
The project that I took to the party is now going into a bag with another project that I almost finished to take with me when my husband has his knee replaced. I need something to work on while he is in surgery so that I don't think about what he is going through. I also plan on starting another project because I always think that I will get more stitched than I will. LOL I would rather bring more that I will have time to stitch than to run out of stitching. This happened to me almost a year ago when DH ended up in the ER and I grabbed my stitching bag, stitched while We were waiting and then ran out of floss and sat there and worried.
Have a good start to the week everyone and I hope that you can get some stitching done.

Good Morning, I did get some stitching in last night and again this morning but had to FROG some of what I stitched this morning. When I got to the "bad" stitch it wasn't bad at all so really didn't need to remove what I did. That's OK because it would have bothered me if I would have kept it there. It is amazing how much stitching I can get done when I can find time to stitch in the morning and the evening. I still need to get another project started so that I have something easy to stitch on when my husband has his knee replaced. I did work on organizing my floss the other day and need to try to sit down at the kitchen table and work at least 5-10 minutes an evening rather than try to work on it for an hour. I did pick up a couple me photo boxes the other day when I was at HL. I just hope that the book shelve that I have is large enough to hold all of the floss filled photo boxes. Have a good day and hope that you get some you time in today.

Good Morning Stitchers!
Happy Valentines Day everyone.
I'm still working on the Fa-la-la-la Land. I was able to get 1 reindeer almost finished this morning and started a second.
When I was stitching at the Super Bowl Party, a friend who does a lot of quilting asked about a gadget that I was using. It's made by Clover and it's a Dome threaded needle case. She said that she had one in a drawer in her work area. I made mention how much I love it when we travel and she said that she had never thought about taking hers with her when they travel. I know that she is like me and does needle work while they are on the road. I'm glad that I had it with me and she noticed it and she will now put it to good use.
Have a good Ash Wednesday and an even better Lenten Season.

Good Morning Stitchers!
Still working on Little Stitch Girl's pattern Fa-la-la-la Lane and was able to finished the 2 reindeer that are on top of the middle house. They turned out cute. I plan on stitching some snowflakes tonight. There are so many snowflakes to stitch on this pattern that I don't want to leave them all until the end or, knowing me, I will put the entire thing away and it won't get finished. Then again, I do need to start something that I can take with me to the hospital when my DH has his surgery the middle of March. I don't want to take a project that I will need to keep checking the pattern, just something that I can stitch and possibly do a fill in. I should start the March project that I had almost finished and then decided that I didn't like to colors so ripped it all out.
Have a good day and hope that everyone has a special project that they can work on today.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I hope that everyone had a good weekend and that you were able to find some time to work on your projects whatever they may be.
I did got some stitching done this weekend and was able to work on sorting some of my floss, an on going project, but I like that I will have all of my floss in one place so when I go to get it I will know where it is.
I really have to stop looking at the cross stitch shops that will be going to the Nashville Market, I already have ordered more patterns than I need and keep seeing more that I just have to have. I just hope that I live a long time so that I can get at least 1/2 of my stash stitched.
Have a good start to a new week everyone and keep stitching!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Little Stitch Girl finally released her patterns for the Nashville Market and, thankfully, she didn't do anything that I just have to have. I do like what she designed but since I have already placed an order for patterns that I just have to have, I'm glad that I can pass on her this year. There is 1 other designer that has a pattern that I am really thinking about getting but so far haven't seen it posted on any of the cross stitch shops pages which is giving me time to think if I really do need it. I didn't stitch any last night as I was just too tired. I did work on my floss project for a while last night and again this morning and I hope to finish the first of the 6 floss groups that I was gifted a few years ago. The lady who owned the floss must have purchased every color and had each color in a floss bag and then stored on a large "D" ring. I first set that I have almost finished started with white and ended with 525. I have all of these colors in 2 photo boxes. I still would like to find some thicker cardboard so that I can divide the colors and I won't have to thumb through all of the bags.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers, I did contact my cross stitch shop yesterday to see if she has gotten any information from the one designer whose pattern I am interested in and she said that she hadn't. I have checked a couple of on-line stores to see if they have posted the pattern and so far none of them have. Nashville Market starts March 1 so I hope that they get their information sent to the dealers soon. I did get some stitching done on my Little Stitch Girl pattern last night. I thought that I was getting a lot finished until I moved my hoop and looked at what was stitched and checked the pattern to see how much more there is to stitch. I am really enjoying this pattern but should put it away so that I can start something that will be easier to work on when DH has his surgery. Maybe I will switch this weekend. Have a good day everyone and keep stitching.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I hope that everyone was able to pick up your needle and get some stitching done yesterday. I did stitch for a bit before I went to bed last night. I was also able to get some stitching in this morning before I left for work. The project is coming along nicely and now I am thinking that I might be able to take it with me to work on when DH is in the hospital. I do have 2 smaller projects that I could take along just in case this one doesn't work out like I hope it will.
I'm still watching to see if any on-line shops post the pattern that I am thinking about. I know that I heard that it will be released at the Nashville Market so I would hope that they get it to the shops so people can pre-order if they want to. Oh well, if it doesn't get posted, that must mean that I am not meant to have it.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning stitchers!
I have plans for this weekend so not sure how much I will stitch. I did do some stitching this morning and hope to stitch a bit before I go to bed tonight. We are planning on going out for supper tonight so if it's late I won't stitch, don't want to make any mistakes that I might do if I'm too tired.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers,
I hope that everyone had a good weekend and were able to get some needle time in. I did get some stitching done but not as much as I would have liked (do we ever get as much done as we wished that we could?).
I did take a finished project into the framers and picked out a mat and frame for it. The mat is 3 toned colors that match the fabric and a couple of colors in the project. I took my sister with me for a second opinion and she thought that it would look nice. The frame has a wood grain on it which pulls out the tree branch that is in the picture. It won't be ready until March 9th. We are having people over for brunch on March 3rd and I was hoping that I would have it back by then but our guests will have to see it next time that they come over.
Have a good start of the week everyone and hope that you can get some stitching time in today.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I watched Little Stitch Girl's new FlossTube about her new designs that she is releasing at the Nashville Needlework Market that starts this Friday. She has a couple cute patterns. She did purchase an older sampler from an auction and recreated it for market along with a few other stitching items using this same sampler. It is really cute but on her floss-tube she said that she would not be releasing it at Market because she found out that it wasn't as old as she thought, she thought that it was stitched by a school girl in the 1869 but people had contacted her to let her know that it was actually a cross stitch kit released in the 1969. I feel bad for her because she spent a lot of time recreating it and money printing the patterns for market and now has to pull it because of the copyright laws. Yes, I do understand copyright laws and would never purchase a pattern that was pirated from another designer, it's just too bad that the auction house was correct when it was stitched. She said that the auction that she purchased it at lied to her about how old it is but she was glad that other stitchers reached out to her before she sold the pattern, then she would have really been in trouble.
I did get one of the tree finished on the Little Stitch Girls' Fa-la-la-la Lane. I'm working on the second house, getting the roof stitched and then the 2 reindeer. I have been stitching the snow flakes as I come to them instead of leaving them to the end.
Have a good day stitching everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I'm still working on the same project. I didn't stitch last night be did get some time in this morning. I also got some steps in this morning, we are having friends over on Sunday for brunch and I have been taking all my floss and boxes upstairs. I hate that I have to do that because I had everything organized and was making good progress with it. Oh well, I can bring it all back downstairs after the brunch. I was going to keep everything upstairs but then none of it would get done, you know, out of sight out of mind. When it is on the kitchen table I see if and will sit down for a couple of minutes and work on it.
I hope that everyone was safe last night, I saw that some of the country had some bad weather. We had some snow but it melted as fast as it came down. On Monday out temperature was 80 in the afternoon and on Tuesday night it was down to 18 with snow. Boy, Mother Nature sure is off her meds.
Have a good day and I hope that everyone can find time to do something for themselves today.

Good Morning Stitchers!
WOW!! It's been a few days since I have been on. I took a couple days off from work to get ready for our Brunch party on Sunday. Everything went well and now I can relax for a couple months before I have to do it again.
While getting ready for Sunday, I found a pattern that I had been working on about a year ago so put the Little Stitch Girl's Fa-la-la-la Lane away and have been working then the project that I found. That project is a Stitching with the Housewives Calendar crate June. I really hope to get this one finished stitching and finished to hang on my walls for our next Brunch and also when we host card club in June. The LSG's project will go with me to the hospital when DH had his surgery. I also have 2 other projects that I plan on taking with me that are just fill in stitching so will probably work on those first.
Hope that everyone had a fun weekend and that you had time to do some you time.
Have a good Monday everyone!

Good Morning Stitcher!
I hope that everyone had a good start to a new week and found some time for yourself.
I didn't stitch any last night but did get some stitching in this morning before I left for work. I also started supper for tonight by putting a roast and potatoes in my crockpot. I have a meeting to attend tonight and it will be nice to be able to get home and have supper ready, maybe I can find some stitching time.
I noticed that the cross stitch shop that I ordered from for the Nashville Needlepoint Market that the owner came down with covid and wasn't able to attend. She did say that her helpers were able to go and got all of her shopping done. Now to wait until she contacts me that she has my order ready for me to come and pick it up. I hope to get a couple of my WIPs done before she calls so I want feel so bad if I decide to start something new.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
No stitching for me last night, I didn't get home from my meeting until after 9 and I still had to eat supper and clean up. I was able to get a little stitched this morning and really hope to stitch some more tonight after supper. I have another meeting after work but it won't be as late as it was last night but I need to figure out what to make for supper. With 3 guys in the house, you would think that one of them would tell me what they are hungry for or give me suggestions on what I could make.
Have a good Wednesday everyone and I hope that you can find some time for yourself today.
