Good Snowy Morning Stitchers! Yes, I know that we are in March but Mother Nature must not have gotten the message. I do remember other years that it snowed so it really shouldn't surprise me, at least the ground is warm and the snow is melting when it hits the ground. I didn't stitch any last night but did get some stitching in this morning. I am really looking forward to the weekend, no plans, so I hope to get some stitching done and maybe work on my floss project. I had to clear all of my floss off the kitchen table for our brunch last Sunday and so now I need to bring it back down so it isn't out of sight, out of mind. Hope that everyone has a good weekend with good weather! If you can find time for you, do something that you enjoy!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Yes, it's still morning here, at least it is for another couple of minutes it is.
I just got to work, had to pick up a RX for DH, I got the wrong one so had to go back to get the correct one. While I was there I picked up some groceries so that I don't need to stop after work.
I had a good weekend, stitched some on Saturday and also worked on the plastic yarn, looping the strips and rolling it into a ball. My friend said that she had enough to work with for a couple days so I would like to get this done so that I can give it to her Wednesday at a meeting that we both attend.
Have a good start to the week everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Did anyone order anything from the Nashville Market? I did order some patterns from a cross stitch shop in the town over from us and was going to go to her shop to pick everything up. Not sure if I can get there any time soon so will need to give her a call and at least pay for my order so she doesn't worry that I plan on skipping out on her. I was hoping to go to her shop to find fabric for one of the patterns that I purchased so I will let her know that at least. No stitching last night, I was so tired that I went to bed before 9 and then overslept this morning, at least I feel rested. I did get some stitching in this morning. Still trying to decide what projects I will take with me to work on when DH has his surgery.
Have a good day and keep on stitching!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Happy Hump Day Everyone!
No time to stitch last night. I did stitch some this morning before I left for work, just hope that I didn't make a mistake, I didn't sleep well last night so the chance of FROG joining me this morning is very good.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning Stitchers!
No stitching for me last night, tomorrow is my DH's surgery and I am getting things ready for when he comes home. I also was working on putting things together for me to take to the hospital so that I have something to work on while I wait.
Have good day and if you would, please say a prayer for my DH, the surgeon and the surgical staff that everything goes well tomorrow. Please pray for me, I will be praying for you!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I'm back to work after taking sometime off to be with my DH during and after his surgery. His surgery was Friday morning and I was able to bring him home Saturday around noon. We were both glad that he was able to spend the night at the hospital because after his block wore off, they had a hard time getting his pain under control. When I got to the hospital Saturday at 8 he was sleeping and didn't even know that I was there. I just pulled out my cross stitch and started stitching until the PT came in and woke him so that they could get his PT in and go home.
I took 4 different projects with me to the hospital and worked on 3 of them. I'm so glad that I had something to work on or it would have been a very long weekend. The first project that I worked on was the June Calendar Crate by Stitching with the Housewives, I finished stitching the pickup truck and put the roof on the farm house. The project that I finished was a Halloween project, don't remember the designer but all I needed to stitch was the socks for the Witch's boots. The last project was a Lizzie Kate's Santa, I didn't get much done on this one but that's OK, this is my traveling project so I plan on taking it along when my DSis and I take a road trip this summer. I did work on the 4th project when I took DH to Physical Therapy and that project is Little Stitch Girl's Fa-la-la-la Lane and I got some of the green house stitched along with some of the snow between the green house and the cream house. I think that this will be the project that I will work on when I take DH in for his PT. I did take a picture of my starting point and it will be fun to see how much I can get done stitching an hour or so 3 days a week. Does anyone else take pictures of your starting place? I like doing it because sometimes it doesn't seem like I get much stitched but then when I pull up the picture from a week before I can see the progress.
Have a good week everyone and I hope that you can find sometime to do something fun for yourself.

Good Morning Stitchers!
It's a good thing that I was able to get some stitching done last night since the stitching that I did this morning I had to rippit. I was stitching while waiting for my DH at PT and noticed that I was 1 stitch off. I could have left it but I know me, every time that I would look at this project I would see it and wish that I would have fixed it. After removing the stitches I was able to get back to where I was before I started. Friday is another PT day so I hope to get more stitched then.
Have a good day everyone, DH wanted to stop at his work to see how everything is going and now says that he wants to get home and get some ice after PT I'm sure that he is sore.

No stitching this morning at home but I was able to get some in when I took my DH to the Doctor, he is having side effects from some of the medication that was prescribed for him. The doctor told him that sometimes it takes a while for the meds to get out of your system and to just wait it out.
I hope that I can find some time to stitch on my other project when I get home from work.
Have a good day everyone!

Happy Tuesday Stitchers!! I have been spending time at home with DH after his surgery. He is doing well but still needs a driver and it's better for me to stay home on those days then to come in for only a couple hours at work. We aren't sure when he will be released to drive but I think that it will be at least a couple more weeks before he can. I did get quite a bit stitched on the project that I am only working on while I wait for him to do whatever he needs to do. Yesterday he had a Dr appointment and then PT so I was able to stitch almost 2 hours! I also stitched some last night on my other project and need to keep stitching on it so that I can get it done before the end of the month. I am doing a monthly challenge this next month and April's challenge is to pick up something that you haven't worked on for over a year. I have a Stoney Creek Halloween Afghan that I have been wanting to pull it out and work on it for a bit. I started this back in 2020 and it has 30 pages and I only have 4 of them finished. I was hoping that I could get it finished in 6 years but that wont happen unless I work on it. Have a good week everyone!

Happy Good Friday Stitchers! I have been busy keeping DH's schedule straight. He is doing well, just so he doesn't start over doing it. I didn't stitch any yesterday, when I dropped him off at PT I went to the grocery store to pick up what we will need for Easter Dinner on Sunday. I did get a lot stitched on Wednesday and I plan on taking this project with me on the bus tour that I am taking on Easter Monday. I am going with a group, 2 buses, to a church close to Kansas City to see Sister Wilhelmina. I have posted the link below. We will be meeting at a church 45 minutes from my home for Mass at 7 and then take a tour of this church which is only a couple of years old. The buses will leave around 8:15 and we won't be back until after 6 that evening. I will need to remember to put something in the crock pot before I leave so I don't have to worry about supper when I get home. Not sure how much stitching I will be able to do but I need to make sure that I have more that the 2 colors that I have now in my bag. This is the 3rd bus tour that I have taken with this group and I am really looking forward to it. Have a Happy Easter Everyone and may God Bless you all. catholicvote.org/who-is-sister-wilhelmina/

Good Morning Stitchers! I hope that everyone had a Happy Easter and were able to spend time with the people that you love.
We had a good Easter, all the kids were able to come over for Supper and then hang out to visit.
Yesterday I didn't get as much stitching in as I would have liked but did get in some. I went on a bus tour and brought my stitching with me so what I did get stitching I wouldn't have if I would have left it at home. The bus tour was very fun and educational and I hope to be able to join them again next year on Holy Monday.
Keep stitching everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I got a lot stitched this morning while DH was at PT. I hope to get some stitching done on my other project that I am so close to getting done. If I get it finished I plan on pulling out the Halloween afghan that I started in 2020. There is a April challenge where you stitch on something that you haven't worked on for over a year so this afghan would qualify. I hope that I can find all the floss that I need for this, I know that I did pull some of the floss for different projects but should have enough to be able to stitch for a couple of weeks.
Have a good day and keep on stitching!

Good Morning, I was able to get some stitching done yesterday afternoon after I took DH home from PT. I didn't stitch in the evening, just too tired, but did get some stitching time in this morning. I hope to finish the 2 strawberries that I was working on this morning and maybe even get one more started and finished. I am excited to get this project finished and then will work on finishing it myself. This is a 2 part pattern but I'm not sure when I will work on the second part. This project is a Stitching with the Housewives June Calendar Crate. I really would like to get both parts done, done so that I can have it up when we have card club at our house in June. I also have a couple more June project by the Housewives that I would love to stitch and finished before June but that may not happen.
I did have a project framed by Michael's a couple of weeks ago and love how it turned out, now to get it hung up. I still need to pick up my Granddaughter's birth announcement that I took in to have framed, it's finished, I just haven't found time to pick it up.
Just wondering how everyone finishes their projects, do you do them yourself, take them in to have them framed or have someone make them into flat folds or something similar or just stitch and put into a storage bin and forget about them. I would love to hear what you do with your projects after you are done stitching them.
Have a good day stitching everyone!

Hi Stitchers!
I have a finish! This weekend I finished the Stitching with the Housewives June Calendar Crate. I am now working on the companion piece to it which shouldn't take long to stitch. I also signed up for a finishing class in June. The class teaches how to finish a Biscornu, now I need to get mine stitched. I have 2 different patterns and may try to get them both finished so I can do one in class and then come home and finish the other one. I do better remembering when I do something and then do it again.
I'm still stitching the PT project, got quite a bit done this morning while my DH was in PT. I don't think that I will get it done before he finishes all his PT.
Have a good day and be safe if you are going to be watching the eclipse.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I have gotten a good start on the Stitching with the Housewives June Calendar Crate companion piece and am already thinking about how I will finish it. The SWTH's suggest a small finish to hang up but I am thinking about getting some strawberry fabric and making it into a small pillow that I can hang on their suggested wall frame.
I did bring the fabric that I am thinking about stitching the Biscornu on and hope to go the the craft store to pick out some variegated thread that I saw someone use, just want to do a floss toss to make sure that it works with the fabric that I have picked out. I'm pretty sure that I have some variegated threads in my stash but I have no idea where I have put it. I still need to work on organizing my craft room, maybe tomorrow after DH is home from his PT.
I do hope to get the 3rd house stitched on the Little Stitch Girl's Fa-la-la-la project that I am stitching. I still have Santa and his sleigh to stitch along with one more tree and a lot of snow flakes.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Afternoon Stitchers! DH just got done with his PT and was scolded by almost everyone working there this morning. He is determined to plant a garden even though he just had a knee replaced. Yesterday, he went out and planted 4 rows of potatoes while I was at work and this morning he was hurting. His PT told him that he needs to have me go out to the garden with him and he can use his cane to point out where he wants me to plant his potatoes. He told them "good luck with that idea". We have 2 boys living at home, I think that one of them can help their dad plant his garden this year.
I did get some stitching done while waiting at PT for DH but didn't get as much as I should have, I had to rippit 2 different times, once was some stitching that I did on Monday and the other was a start from today. I like to use the loop method of starting a new thread and for some reason I didn't catch the loop. Rather than take out all that I have done, 4 rows, I just went to the start and was able to pick out the first row of stitching, tuck the thread in and start with a new strand of thread. I did get what I wanted stitched so I was happy with that. I always like to set a goal for myself when I pick up a project and Friday I hope to get most of Santa's sleigh stitched.
After work yesterday, I did go to Joanna's and pick up the thread that I plan on using for the Biscornu that I need to get started on so I have it done for the class in June. Joanna's also had their pre-cut fat quarters on sale, a dollar off, so I picked up some that I think will work for me to finish, finish some of my projects.
Have a good day everyone and hope that everyone can find sometime to get a few stitches in.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I won't be getting as much stitching done today as I am in the office. DH has paperwork to get done and I need to be here to make the corrections that he wants.
I did get some stitching in before we came in, just a little on the LSG project that I am working on. I would really like to get this one done in the next day or so and then I can start working on the Biscornu.
Have a good stitching day everyone.

Good Afternoon Stitchers!
DH had PT this morning but I didn't get as much stitched as I was planning. I had to make a run to the grocery store and that took longer than I thought it would. I did get some stitching done on my other project before we went to PT so that was good.
My sister posted on her book of faces this morning that it was 3 years ago today that covid took her husband from her. He caught covid before the vaccine was approved for their age group. So many people lost to that stupid virus. I'm sure that everyone lost at least one person in their lives to covid, we lost 2. Prayers to my sister and anyone else that lost a loved one to this horrible illness.

Good Monday Morning Stitchers!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend and that you were able to get some stitching time in. I was able to finished the small piece that I was working on so I can now start stitching the Biscornu that needs to be finished by the middle of June. It isn't a very large project so that shouldn't be a problem but then you never know what life will throw at you interrupting stitching time.
Have a good start to the week everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
DH got the OK from his PT that he can start driving again, not sure when I will find time to finish the project that I was working on while I waited for him. I did start stitching the Biscornu that I need to have finished by the middle of June. I am having a hard time with that pattern and had to rip out a lot of what I stitched yesterday but did get back to where I was before ripping. I think that I will make another copy and this time see if it prints darker than the first time I printed it. The pattern that I am stitching is a free pattern and I had a hard time getting it to print the first time. This is one reason why I have never purchased a PDF pattern, I don't have a very good printer and I have never stitched off of my i-pad. I like having the color photo of the pattern that I get when I purchase a hard copy from shops that I then make working copies that I enlarge so that it's easier for me to see.
Have you ever purchased a PDF pattern? How do you use it, make your own copy of stitch from an i-pad or something else?
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Hi there cross stitchers!
We have such nice weather today compared to the past 2 days. We did need the rain but some places had rain with hail and some even tornadoes. DH is itching to get his garden in but knows that he better take it easy and that the weather isn't ready yet to be putting plants in the ground.
I did get some stitching in on my Biscornu this morning before we left for PT and at PT while I was waiting for DH I got some stitching done on the LSG's Fa-la-la-la pattern that I am working on. I'm not sure how many more days I will be stitching while DH is in PT, his PT told him that he can start driving so he may be taking himself in from now on. I am pleased with how much I got stitched just "sitting there" and can look back on this project and remember what I was doing while I stitched it.
During covid, I had to go in for radiation treatments for breast cancer. At the time, they didn't want you coming into the building until it was your turn for treatment so I had a couple projects that I worked on while I sat in my car waiting for them to call me back that it was my time, those projects have a very special meaning for me and will always remember when I stitched them.
Does anyone have any special project that you stitched at a time in your life that you will always remember?
Have a good day and hope that everyone can get some stitching in.

Good Morning Stitchers!
No stitching for me this morning, we are having guest over for supper tonight, our DS#2 and his GF, so I had to get things ready for that. I put a roast and potatoes in a crock pot and a beef tongue in another. I mentioned to them yesterday that I was going to make tongue tonight and I could see her eyes light up so I asked her if she liked it and she said that she did so I invited them over for supper. The only problem is that it's a smaller tongue and everyone in our family loves it except me, that is why I am also doing a roast.
I hope to get some stitching in tonight if not I know that I can stitch tomorrow when I take my DH in for PT.
Have a good day and hope that you can get some stitching time in.

Happy Friday Stitchers! DS#2 and his GF came over for supper last night and we had no leftovers!! It's a good thing that I made a roast along with the beef tongue or I would have had hungry people. I asked GF how she makes tongue so the next time I go to the grocery store I will need to ask the butcher if they have any beef tongue and if they do pick one up so I can give it to her and she can make supper for us. Still not sure that I will eat it since I have never had it before. When our kids were little I would make it for supper and then help DH fill their plates and tell them that I had already eaten, I didn't want to sway their opinions on if they liked it or not. I did get some stitching in this morning before we left for PT and then stitched more while I waited for DH while he did his PT. The LSG project that I am working on during PT is coming along nicely, just have a Christmas tree to stitch along with a lot of snow flakes and some high light stitching. The Biscornu is a slow project, not sure why I am having problems with it but I will keep working on it. I do think that I will do beads on it rather than the French knots since I don't do them very well. Anyone ever swap out beads for french knots? Did you like how your project turned out? Have a good weekend everyone and hope that you can find some time to get some stitching in.

Happy Tuesday Stitchers!
I hope that everyone had a good weekend and a good start to the week.
I was busy this weekend with family from out of town. They flew in Saturday afternoon and will be leaving on Wednesday evening. Local family joined up on Sunday afternoon for a birthday party and it was fun seeing everyone and getting caught up.
I did get a little stitching done on Saturday but none on Sunday. Monday I stitched while DH was doing his PT and again for a little while in the afternoon. The biscornu is coming along nicely, almost done with the top piece and then I need to decide if I will do the bottom the same or not. I also need to find the beads that I plan on using instead of putting in French knots.
Have a good day everyone and I hope that you can get some time in to stitch today.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I hope that everyone had a nice evening last night, the weather here was perfect, the wind finally has died down.
I'm still working on the biscornu and am starting to think about how I will stitch the bottom half. I did get some stitching done on the LSG project. I did find out that Little Stitch Girl and Stitching with the Housewives will no longing sell their patterns to brick and mortar stores but only sell them on Etsy. Since I have never purchased anything on Etsy, I guess I will be saving a lot of money by not purchasing any of their new releases. That's OK since I have more that enough patterns and kits to keep me busy for a very long time.
Has anyone else heard this about these 2 designers? I'm sure that there are more of them out there which is to bad since the brick and mortar stores make their money on selling patterns to their customers.
Have a good day stitching everyone!
