Hi there fellow stitchers!
The football game was fun to watch, 7th & 8th graders played on the same team since both schools are Class C which means that there aren't many students in the entire school. There was a delay in the start of the game because someone was digging on the school yard and cut the electrical to the scoreboard. It was hard to keep track of the scores but it also made the game more fun, for me, to watch and not worry about the score.
By the time I got home last night I was too tired to pick up my stitching but was able to get some Xs in this morning. I worked on the outline this morning but didn't get it all stitched before I had to leave for work.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
No stitching for me last night, I had an event to attend and didn't get home until after 9:30 and since I am stitching on black evenweave, thought it would be best not to pick up my needle. I was able to get some stitching done this morning, finished stitching the outline and then quite a bit more. I am still hoping to get it all stitched before October 1 so that I can post it to my book of faces.
Just wondering when everyone gets their stitching time in, morning, during the day, at night before you head to bed or in the middle of the night when you can't sleep. There are times that I have problems sleeping and think that I should try some stitching but am afraid that I will end up loosing track of time and stitch all night. LOL
Have a good day stitching everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I am so looking forward to the weekend so that I can get some stitching time in. I also need to work on putting my craft room together. I have moved a lot of my stash into a bedroom and now I need to work on organizing everything. A couple of years ago I found a 7 foot tall bookshelf on market place that I have in the hallway upstairs and would like to organize the shelves by month or at least season. Most of my storage containers are 31 storage bags with the insert. I also like to take the 31 bags on trips when we go, the one that I like to use is large enough to hold my, must have, pillow and quilt, along with my stitching and snacks. I also need to move a small file cabinet upstairs so that I have someplace to store my stash of patterns. My sister gave me a nice typing table that I have next to the window so that when I finally get around to finishing my projects, I have someplace to work.
Anyone else have a craft room?
Have a good weekend everyone and I hope that you can find some time for you.

Good Afternoon Stitchers!
I'm late posting today, the company that I work for is counting inventory this week and I am in charge of picking up the donuts for morning break and figuring out what we are having for lunch. Today we had Domino's Pizza, I picked a good day to service them pizze since it is 1/2 price pizza week. We found out that if you serve the counters lunch they don't leave and then not come back. Not sure what we will have for lunch tomorrow?
I was able to finish my Little Stitch Girl October pattern on Saturday but think that I will wait to post it to my book of faces until closer to Halloween. I was going to start the November pattern but think that I will change the colors that she used. I did start the December "Merry" pattern on Saturday, I didn't stitch at all yesterday, but I needed to change one of her colors and didn't like the way it looked so went digging into my stash and found her other called for color. This morning, before work, I removed all the stitches that I did on Saturday and started over this morning. I'm glad that I stopped and made the change.
Have you ever stitched something and as you were stitching it, didn't like a color but kept going because you figured you would like it once you had more stitches but in? but then when the project finished, wished that you would have followed your instincts and changed colors?
Have a good start to a new week and hope that you can find time to get a couple of stitches in today.

Good Morning Stitchers!
Second day of counting inventory here at work. Today we are having fried chicken for lunch along with chips, potato salad, grapes and cookies, I just hope that I ordered enough chicken! We have more people counting today than we did yesterday so hopefully it won't take all week.
I was looking at some different book of faces cross stitch pages and notices that there is a lady that seems to stitch the same patter over and over again, just changing the fabric color that she uses. Just wondering how many of you stitch a pattern more than once. I have stitch a couple patterns more than 1 time but for the most part once I have stitched something I am ready to move on to the next project. One pattern that I did 2 times was "His Name is Jesus", I stitched one for myself and one that I donated to a church auction. I had a friend of mine make the frame out of wood that was left over from when we built our new church. The parishioners decided to make all of the pews starting with cutting down the trees. Then they milled the logs, dried them, planed them and then sanded them before finishing them. It was a labor of love and I learned how to sand wood and made a lot of new friends while doing it.
Have a good Tuesday everyone and I hope that you can find some time to stitch!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I'm glad that I did some stitching before work yesterday because I was too tired to even pick it up last night after supper. I didn't sleep well the night before but slept really well last night.
Just wondering how every stores their stash. I really do need to get organized. I was in my craft room the other day looking for some floss and have decided that when I get the idea that I need to purchase a pattern or more that I need to go to my craft room and look around at all the patterns that I already own it hopefully it will change my mind about needing more.
Have a good Wednesday everyone and hope that you can find some time to stitch!

Good Morning fellow stitchers!
The inventory at work is counted so I stayed home a little later this morning to get some stitching in. I didn't stitch last night so am trying to get more done in the mornings.
The pattern that I am working on, Little Stitch Girl's "Merry" isn't as easy to stitch as the "Tricks & Treats" was. I have been keeping the working copies of the pattern in an old restaurant menu holder but had to take it out so that I can mark off what I have stitched. Once I get past the top part of the pattern I should be able to put the paper copy back into the menu holder. I do like using the holder, keeps my working pattern from getting wrinkled. I was able to purchase a couple of these menu holders from a restaurant that we go to on Sundays for brunch and noticed that they were changing out new holders so I asked if I could purchase a couple of the old ones that they were going to recycle.
Do you have any special way that you keep your patterns to keep them clean and wrinkle free?
Have a good Thursday and keep stitching!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I am looking forward to the weekend and hope to get some stitching in. I'm still working on Little Stitch Girl's "Merry". I didn't get any stitching in last night but did some this morning before I came into work. I hope to stitch tonight while I watch our college volleyball game, I can usually get in a couple of stitches before each serve. I won't be needing to follow the pattern tonight which helps. The design of the pattern is plaid and I have the main color 3 x 3 squares done so will work on stitching the secondary color squares tonight during the game. Has anyone started any new projects in October? I hate starting new projects but love the stitching once I get started.
Have a good stitching weekend everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I hope that everyone had a good weekend and that you were able to find some time for you and time to stitch. I did get more stitched done this weekend than I thought that I would. Tonight my plan is the stitch the boarder of the Christmas ornament that I am stitching, I find that it makes it easier to then fill it in with the 3 x 3 squares.
I really should be working on the Christmas stocking that I started many, many years ago. This stocking was my travel project when our son played college football and our daughter was on an swim team that practiced in the early mornings. I am lucky that I am able to stitch while we drive someplace and it doesn't bother me. I was also lucky that the indoor pool had good lighting and a table that I could sit at and stitch. I got everything stitched on the stocking but hate to back stitch. Now that I have a granddaughter I want to stitch her name on it and get the back stitching in so that I can finish, finish it for her this coming Christmas. I did learn that when you fold and unfold a pattern multiple times, it can make it hard to see the symbols if they are on the fold. I now make working copies of all my patterns and even enlarge them so that it's easier to see.
Does anyone else have a project that your just work on while you are traveling?
Have a good start to a new week everyone and keep those needles moving.

Good Morning Stitchers!!
I had 2 hours to stitch this morning and got a lot stitched. DH took our car for an appointment and I had to wait for him to come home so that I could go into work. I know that I could just sit and stitch all day long if I didn't have to go into work. Anyone else have things in your lives, like work, that keeps you from your stitching!
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Well, part of the stitching that I did yesterday morning had to come out last night. I was stitching the outline for the ornament and it didn't match up. I did get it to match up and even got more stitching in before I headed to bed. This morning I got the wording stitched and hope to get started on the main plaid color tonight.
This weekend I plan on figuring out what colors I want to use on Little Stitch Girl's November pattern "Happy Fall Y'all. She stitched it in white and grays and I want to stitch it in pumpkin oranges.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I hope that everyone has been able to get some stitching time in the past few days. I got home from work last night and started supper and then sat down to stitch until my DH got home. He worked late, not getting home until after 8:30, so I get a lot stitched. I made a meatloaf last night and put it in the oven around 7 so that if would be done when DH got home, sure glad that I didn't wait to put it in the oven until DH for home or we would have been eating at 9:30. I even got some stitching done this morning before work. I really think that once I get the main plaid color done I will make this a travel project since I shouldn't have to worry about having the pattern to look at.
Have a good Thursday everyone and hope that you can find some stitching time.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I hope that everyone had a good weekend and that you were able to get some stitching time in for yourself. I took Friday off from work and in-between working on freezing some vegetables and doing laundry, I was able to get some stitching in.
Friday I worked with a batch of potatoes that had bad spots on them and got them dehydrated. I love having the dehydrated potatoes on hand when I want to make ham and scalloped potatoes. The dehydrated potatoes look like the "plastic" potatoes that are in a box of scalloped potatoes that you can purchase. Saturday afternoon my husband checked his garden and brought in a couple more boxes of tomatoes and a few peppers so yesterday I did a batch of salsa with the tomatoes. I don't can but put everything in the freezer.
I am trying to decide what colors I want to use for my next project, Little Stitch Girl's "Happy Fall Y'all". She did the pumpkin in white and grays and I want to do it in oranges. Guess I need to start by checking my stash to see what oranges that I already have since I don't want to purchase cross stitch materials until the first of the year. Any one have any idea on 3 different pumpkin colors that I could use?
Have a good Monday everyone and hope that you can get some stitching time in today!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I have a finish!! I put the last stitches in the Little Stitch Girl's Merry this morning. I haven't pressed it but will get that done, not sure when I will get it finished finished. I also started a new project, Little Stitch Girl's "Happy Fall Y'all" this morning. It's a pumpkin that is stitched in plaid using white and a couple different grays. I am going to change out the colors and "make it my own". Instead of the called for colors I am going to stitch it using 3 different shades of orange. I'm trying to decide if I want to out line the pumpkin in the darker shade of orange or stitch it in black. All that I stitched this morning was the top few rows of the stem and I'm sort of thinking that I want to change the called for color to a darker shade of green. I think that I will do a floss toss tonight when I get home and see how it looks.
Have a good day stitching everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers! Well, I didn't get any stitching in last night since it was late when I got home an still had to fix supper. I did get some stitching in this morning and decided to keep the called for green for the pumpkin stem. I hope to be home a bit earlier tonight and fix something easy for supper so that I can get started on the pumpkin outline. Wish me luck!!

Good Morning Stitchers!
No stitching last night, to much family going on. I did get some stitching in this morning before I left for work. I stitched some of the outline of the pumpkin, just hoping that I don't miscount and have it not match up. So far, the orange is looking good, glad that I changed the colors to my choice.
Have a good day and hope that you can get some stitching time in today!

Good Friday Morning Stitchers!
Well, I finished the outline of the pumpkin that I am stitching and the outline matched! I was worried about it since the last pattern that I stitched didn't come together and I had to rip out until I found my error. I am second guessing myself with the colors that I am working with. I am thinking about changing out the middle shade of orange to black. I think that I will stitch a 4x4 with each color to see how they both look and go from there, I may even show this to a couple of people to see what they say.
I hope to get some stitching done tomorrow afternoon during our college football game and then in the evening during our college volleyball game, hope that both teams play a good game. Does anyone have any plans for the weekend? I hope that you can find some time to get a few stitches in! Have a good weekend everyone!

Good Tuesday Morning everyone!
Hope that everyone had a good weekend and were able to get some stitching in. I did stitch Saturday afternoon but in the Morning I took a class with some friends and we learned how to make Kolaches! This wasn't a hands on class but did learn a lot. The teacher also does teach a class that is hands on so might check into that since I am the type of person that learns better when I can do it as someone is showing me.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Well, last night I didn't get any stitching done. My DH likes to watch TV shows that I don't like to watch. On nights like last night I took my i-pay and went into my office to find something to watch. The only problem with going into my office is that my office doesn't have a light that is good enough to stitch by so no stitching. I did get some stitching in this morning and so far the challenge that I am doing, I have only miss one day of stitching.
Just wondering if everyone has a special place that they like to stitch? My favorite place in on my side of the couch where I have 2 Ottlites, one over my right shoulder and one over my left shoulder. The one over my left shoulder really needs to have the light replace or maybe I need to replace the entire thing. I think that I will start watching sales to see if any craft stores / hobby shops have them on sale.
Have a good day and hope that you can get some stitching time in today.

Good Afternoon Stitchers!
Sorry that I am late this morning, I had an appointment this morning but I still managed to get a few stitches in before I left home. After my appointment I stopped at the craft store to find my 3rd color the the Little Stitch Girl pattern that I am working on. If you remember I am "making it my own" by changing the called for colors to colors of my choice. I already have stitch 2 different shades of orange and was going to use black as my 3rd color. The more that I am stitching the more that I started thinking that black wouldn't be the right color. I showed my project to a couple of friends and they thought that I should use a cream color as my 3rd color but the fabric that I am using is a cream and I was afraid that it wouldn't show very well. I found a burnt orange color that I think will work well. I will stitch a couple of 4x4 blocks and then decide for sure if I will use it or not.
Hope that everyone has a good day and can get some stitching time in!!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I finished one color on my Happy Fall Y'all pattern and love how it looks. This morning is started with color #2 and hope that I can get it done this weekend.
I found a YouTube video on how to finished your projects. The ladies use a paper cutter to cut their matt boards and sticky boards. One of the reasons that I haven't finished, finished any of my projects is because I had no idea how I would cut the matt boards and haven't really thought about using sticky boards. I did some research on paper cutters and think that I will order one for myself then maybe I can start to get some finishing done.
Anyone finish their own projects? If so, how do you finish them? Flat fold, stand ups, use magnets to attach them to a frame? Any ideas that you could share would be great for inspiration for the rest of us stitchers.
Have a good Halloween Weekend everyone and hope that you have time to sit and stitch.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I hope that everyone had a good weekend and that you were able to find some time to stitch. I finished color #2 and love it and then I started color #3 and I'm not so sure that I like my choice. The 3rd color is a burnt orange and I thought that it would look nice but this color looks too red. I may try to find a burnt orange that has more brown in it or may even change my mind and switch to a cream color. The fabric that I am stitching on is a cream so I am worried that it wont show up as well as if I go with an orange shade.
This morning I did stitch part of the pumpkin vine so I do have something to work on as I try to decide what color to finish the rest of the pumpkin. If I get the vine done and still haven't made up my mind, I will start the Little Stitch Girl's January snow flake pattern. Or, I might pick up one of my stitching projects that I put away because I got bored with stitching it. So many choices!!
Have a good week and hope that everyone finds some stitching time.

Good Morning Stitchers!
I still haven't decided what the 3rd color floss I will use on my current project. I did stitch a couple 4x4 blocks and am leaning towards a cream instead of the burnt orange. One of the book of faces pages that I follow is having a 2024 Blessing Project challenge that I think I will do. I have a birth announcement that I need to start and get finished and this would be a good time to do it. The stitching challenge that I am doing now ends tonight. I stitched all but 1 day out of the month of October which is good for me. I did get a lot of stitching in during the month of October and need to keep it up since I have so many different patterns that are calling my name.
Have a nice Halloween and I hope that you can get some stitching done between tricks or treaters tonight!

Good Morning Stitchers!
How was everyone's Halloween? Did you have very many trick or treaters last night? We didn't have any but then again, we haven't had any for a number of years. We live out in the country and everyone takes their little ones into town where the businesses had out the good stuff.
I finally decided to rip out the burnt orange on the project that I am working on and use a cream color instead and I do like it much better. I would really like to get this project finished this coming weekend so that I can start on something new or pick up a WIP. The pattern that I am working on the designer did a total of 12 pieces, one for each month, I was planning on stitching them all but I think that I need a break from the buffalo plaid pattern. I do have a large Halloween afghan that I have put away that I think I will bring it out for a month or so, it won't get finished but I hope to get at least a few more blocks done on it.
Have a good All Saints Day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
It's almost the weekend!! Yeah!! I was hoping to take tomorrow off but I may need to come into work since there may not be anyone else in the office.
I didn't get any stitching done last night, to tired. I am so glad that I am able to get some stitching time in, in the morning before I head into work or I might not get any stitching done. I am glad that I changed colors but the color I chose is just a couple of shades lighter than the fabric that I am stitching on so it makes it hard to stitch, glad that I have good lighting to work with.
Hope that everyone can find some time to get in a couple of stitches today. Have a great day everyone!
