Are you ready to Begin Again?
Are you a WW Lifetime Member who has gained back some weight and is trying to lose it again? Join us in this thread for support, encouragement and friendship. We start a new thread every Monday morning and contribute to it throughout the week. We are usually pretty active, so we should be near the top of the recent replies, if you can't find us enter "Beginning Again" in the search bar.
Everyone is welcome to join a wonderfully supportive group of new friends. We have a great community of support for returning Lifetime and Maintenance Members, as well as other members who are embarking on their weight loss journey again.
The Beginning Again thread on this Board and the old Weight Watcher board has attracted and supported over 100 BAM (Beginning Again Members) since March 30, 2001. The resulting sorority of kindred spirits has been vital to the recovery of dozens of Lifetime Members who had regained some, or all and then some of the weight they'd originally lost at WW.
It is our belief in the support and camaraderie found in the Beginning Again community that engendered the decision to re-post this invitation at the beginning of each week. So let the journey Begin – Again!

Good morning. It's cold and sunny. The temps will warm to the 50's and I plan to start cleaning my gardens today. I also need to run to the supermarket for a light shopping trip.
The party we went to yesterday was quite lovely and I'm glad we went. We got home near 5pm, and each of us needed some down time. We had leftovers for dinner and started watching a new sci fi show on Netflix that's pretty good.
Need to go back and re-read yesterday's posts in order to do personals. Meanwhile, I'll post this so, for a change, I don't forget and leave it open for hours LOL.

Caryn - thanks for the new chapter, it was lovely for me to see you were up early and started us off. I was up late (for me) last evening, watching the Iowa State vs Stanford women’s game. I didn’t make it to the end, and was sorry to see ISU women are done. Not a surprise, and it wasn’t a blowout, so I’m happy for them.
Jeanne - good morning to you too. We are warmer, but could have storms later today. Sounds like they will go north of us, but you never know.
Today is laundry, I think soup for lunch as it’s still snowy, besides it’s already made!!
I’ll BBL to see who has been by.

Good morning to Caryn, Jeanne, Peg and the bammies who follow. Slept pretty good last night. Not going for a walk this morning but will get plenty of steps at today's baseball game. Weather is going to be perfect (last year when our PA friends came it was cool and windy).

Allison, I was worried at first when I saw you weren't walking then found out the "why"! It's so nice to enjoy the nice weather when friends come to visit. Have a fun day!
Caryn, thank you for getting us started. Glad the party went well and you could enjoy down time when you got home. Sometimes we all need some of that!
Peg, sounds like your day will be spent at home and already have plans for meals so what else is on your list today? Monday was always wash day for my DM and suspect we all hold to that practice it seems so suspect you too will have some on your list today?
Yes, my plan is laundry today plus a stop at Walgreens for DH and to use their ATM for some smaller bills to do the laundry with. Also, there are just a few things I need from Aldi's for a one stop grocery hopefully. If not, just across the street is Winn Dixie so that won't be a big issue if I do need a second stop. I'm enjoying my very last morning of quiet this morning! DH is off to his final art class and then Susan arrives tonight. She'll be a great guest, always helpful. I'm sure she'll want a trip to Aldi or somewhere to pick up a few of her favorite items also so I'll just get what we "need" today and fill in when I take her and we have a chance discuss meals (mostly breakfast and lunches, I suspect).
I'd forgotten to tell you I also cleaned and reorganized the medicine cabinet yesterday and wiped down all my spice bottles so feeling better about our living space now. I also swapped out a rug for in front of the entry door with a small runner for more area to catch the dirt. I like it. I'm not sure I'll put the other one back down as I have a matching one between the kitchen island and cooking area and I like the aesthetics.
Well, I'd best at least strip the bed and maybe not even remake it until I get back and just put the same sheets back on again (avoids folding them)! I can get everything sorted and ready to go while I still enjoy some coffee and decide on breakfast before I get this day started.

The meds the doc prescribed are making me feel lousy. I just called. Sitting on the couch watching reruns of Monk and drinking ginger tea... Waiting for a call back.
Peg - ugh on spring snow. Are you getting a lot? How long should it last? Sorry about Iowa.
Betty - you sound busy. Glad you got stuff in the camper straightened out so you're happier, even though you're going to be bringing it home in a few weeks, right?
Allison - have a great time at the ball game!

It started raining again, not sad about that. Maddie has been in and out several times, so she should be good until mid afternoon. Sheets have been changed and the sheets and hand towels are in the washer. I like to let them soak when I can, and I can today. It feels good to have a day with a few chores (laundry) and not much else. The Iowa women play tonight at 7:00, you can bet I’ll be watching. Plus I’m in my Hawkeye ‘Herstory’ 23/24 season sold out black & gold t-shirt. I do not know if this team has what it takes to make it all the way, but I sure hope they can win and more on…. West Virginia will be a big challenge for them.
Caryn - oh no, sorry the meds are not agreeing with you, wise to call the dr and see if there is something else. ((HUGS)) the temps are still at 44* but the rain has about gotten rid of all the snow. There is still some on the grass, but I think it will be gone soon. We had about 5” of heavy wet snow, glad to see it go.
Betty - love the new flower avatar. So pretty. You sound so organized and ready for Susan’s visit. Is DTBIL also painting? I do like to do laundry on Mondays. Everything that currently has a ‘day’ will have to be adjusted when we start going to the lake. I’m SO ready for camping. We hope to move the campers in that first weekend in April.
Allison - enjoy the ballgame, so glad the weather is better than last year.
Jeanne - are you out walking?
Think the washer has soaked long enough. Although I could read a bit and let it sit longer…..

Morning...behind again! A big return that I am working on and a busy social schedule.
We had a nice time last night at our Supper Club planning meeting. There are 7 in our group. Two couples have lived here about 5 years, and the single gal and the other couple are new, less than a year. She is recently divorced but has lived in this area her whole life. She's a kindergarten teacher in the next town. Married for 31 years, but it sounded like he had an addiction issue since she remarked, it's nice to be able to enjoy wine, I couldn't have it in my house the past 5 years.
Then tonight is Dinner & Movie night. Thursday my DSis and DNiece come for a visit and Saturday is my DUncle's 90 birthday party. So a busy, busy week. No walk for me as I need to get work done. 3 more weeks and lots to do.
Sunny and high 40s now, May get to 60 today. Also very windy, spring means chilly afternoon winds for the next month or 2.
Caryn, hope you feel better soon
Peg, rain is better than snow I guess?
Betty, enjoy your visit with Susan.
Nancy, what's in the cards for today?
Jeanne, how's Scruffy?
Allison, enjoy the game.
Time for 2nd cup of coffee and attack my inbox.

Well it's getting tie for spring cleaning so will start with windows.
Laundry is running as I type.
Caryn - Thanks for the early start, hope you find the right meds to help you feel better.
Peg - I'm with you on the Monday laundry. We used to be on Tuesday but since E has been going to PT on Tuesday's and Thursdays this has been changed.
Betty - It's harder to keep an RV clean than a house.
Jeanne - Hope Scruffy can get out more today. And you too.
Allison - Have fun at the ball game. Glad the rains have stopped for a while.
E has an appt with the hip Dr. this afternoon. Of course he says he feels so much better than he did on Friday when he said he wanted to see someone "right now". I guess making appts for him gets rid of some of the pain. Waffle with 4 remaining, wordle in 6 - yikes wrong guesses, connections with 1 left. I need to be more sports orientated.

Nancy - after one missed guess in connections I had to look at the hints. Don’t think I would have been able to figure it out otherwise. 🤷🏼♀️ only inside windows for me today, it is still raining off and on. Hope E gets some help for his hip.
Caryn - have to talked with the dr yet?
Gina - balance between work and life is good, but your busy week makes it not seem so balanced! Countdown is on….. supper club planning sounds like fun. Sorry for the new gal, meeting new friends will be important for her.

Hi all. Of course the doctor's nurse called me while I was on the checkout line at the grocery store LOL. Anyway, I described what's going on and they'll call me again. I don't take the Prednisone again until tomorrow morning (a side effect is that it affects sleeping) but I do take another antibiotic with dinner. We had agreed to be aggressive since I've had this infection for 2 months and in 3 weeks am flying again. It's only 10 days of feeling funny but maybe we can step down the Prednisone a day early?
Wordle in 3 and perfect Connections
Peg - thanks for enquiring. How's the weather now?
Nancy - I guess the good news is that E is feeling a bit better. GL with the appointment. Clearly it's spring there. I'm jealous. But am feeling well enough to clean up one mini garden. D thinks I'm crazy but I can't sit around the house all day doing nothing. That would really drive me crazy.
Gina - glad you are keeping up your social life during this hectic work period. That group sounds really nice. What's on for tonight's movie?

Nancy - hope E tells the doctor what he went through on Friday.
Gina - good to have those fun evenings when you’re working on numbers all day!
Peg - sorry it’s another inside day.
It’s very windy here. We went to DHs doctor appt today to find out if he had any idea why DH had that vertigo a couple of weeks ago. He didn’t. Oh well. Just gave him a prescription for meds that will take the edge off should it happen again. We went to the library, and Home Depot, picked up the meds and then groceries. I’m tired!
Scruffy is good. We had short walk this morning. He kept stopping to look around so once he’d taken care of business, I encouraged to him walk towards home and we ran into a neighbor so he got loved on and we got to schmooze with her.

Jeanne - boy I remember when I was struggling with vertigo (ie in Costco etc). Is DH waiting for cataract surgery? (I think someone's husband is). My vertico went away once they fixed my eyes. Just a thought.

From a beautiful day yesterday to a rainy day today I haven’t gotten my walk-in the past two days no! Today I decided to tackle a cabinet that has all her medication in it. You can’t believe all the medication’s that were old. They are now gone took a couple hours to do that. Plus I cleaned up the table and cut some daffodils to bring inside it’s the end of the daffodils’s here. The tulips are going to start blooming soon and that’s when all the crazy tulip traffic comes and I hate it! You can’t go anywhere there’s people everywhere! Tomorrow I’m getting my hair done and then I’m dropping my car off after that . I’m going to lunch Wed and my friend will take me and then I can pick my car up Wednesday after lunch. Yes we’re getting our car back and DD is getting her car back. Dd has nausea in the afternoon she goes to the doctor Friday cause I’m tired of listening to her I’m sick I’m sick Yes we know . I feel sorry for her but what does she want me to do!
Caryn Thanks for the start. I’m sorry you’re feeling lousy. That prednisone does a number on you. You know how I feel about it but it does work. Yes I never sleep when I’m on prednisone it’s awful plus I eat like a horse and I want sweets I just threw away some 20 mg of prednisone that I had from two years ago. Remember they had me on 100. UGG don’t ever wanna do that again I blow it up like a blowfish.
Allison have fun at the baseball game! Mariner’s openers is this week.
Gina glad you had a nice time at your Supper Club.
RV yup spring cleaning time I wish someone would do it for me! Next is our big cabinet across from the downstairs bathroom.Hope doc can help E!
Betty you’ve been busy you’ll have a good time with Susan.
Jeanne glad dh has some meds for his vertigo. My friend has it all the time and they don’t know why! Windy I love wind I’m weird!
Peg rain instead of snow is good maybe you’ll get spring one of these days! I’ll be ready for the Sweet 16 this weekend! I keep not doing Wordle and Connections pea brain!
Break time for me!

Well they gave DH a cortisone shot where it hurts. Said surgery on an aged tendon was difficult and did not always work. And they worry about his age. Told the Dr. He doesn't do the ducoflanic like he should, 4 days a week, and the Dr. said he should because that would really help. It's like or the same as Voltarin. He also doesn't do his therapy except 2 days a week and should do that more also. I ratted on him at the Dr. office. Time to go find some frozen spaghetti sauce and thaw that for dinner with a salad and Italian bread.
Caryn DH is like you. He goes antsy just sitting around all day. Wants to be out working in the yard.

Had a very laid back kind of day. The temps are now 54* and the snow is pretty much gone. It can stay that way!!
Iowa girls play tonight. Fingers crossed for them. Last night for the seniors to play on their home court. It will be bittersweet for them. Hopefully not their last game together.
We had taco soup for our lunch. Tonight we are having chili dogs. Not something we have very often, but it just sounds good tonight.
I did finish my book ‘Before we were yours’. It was a good read the second time around. I think my Goodreads page says I ready it 7 years ago, no wonder I didn’t remember a lot of it.
Nancy - sure hope the shot brings E some relief. Yum to spaghetti and salad.
Luv - good for you tackling that cabinet and getting rid of those old meds. Do you take them somewhere? Sorry for DDer it isn’t fun. But hopefully she is managing ok and this too shall pass. Does she plan to find out the gender?
Caryn - oh, I do remember that episode that came on you so quickly with the vertigo in Costco. How interesting that it’s not been a problem since your cataract surgery.
Jeanne - I don’t mind inside days, but this one did get kind of long. I did want to get that book read, had to get up and walk around a few times, but glad it’s done.
Hi to all, nearly time for the news, and a little HH?

Caryn - interesting about vertigo and cataracts! Yes, he is getting them done next month. I looked it up and it’s a thing, just not “officially “
Nancy - I rat out my DH too. Hope it helps motivate Evto do things that will help.
I’ve got a curry shrimp dish cooking. We had the shrimp and some madras sauce and found a Turkey recipe where I substituted the shrimp. Smells good. Better go cHeck on it.

Today was the last day of spring training - the weather was great - unfortunately the Phillies lost. We saw most of the starters - they played the first 5 innings. Now back at the condo. We have a load of our friends clothes in the washer. Not much else going on tonight. We take them to the airport tomorrow morning and I plan to go to yoga in the afternoon.
Gina - sorry you are behind - we know you will catch up.
Peg - nice for you to have temps in the 50's.
Can't remember much else - bbl,

Allison, I just saw the news warning us of those falling caterpillars! They are mostly in oak trees but if you see them, do not touch them! They can cause itching and the hairs can get into ones skin and difficult to remove. They are actually going to be a butterfly at some point and are looking for somewhere to spin their cocoon. Pretty gross when they cover your tires!
We need to think about heading toward the airport shortly so keeping this short. Went to a happy hour to say farewell to a couple leaving tomorrow. Others are leaving as the week goes on as well so this place will begin looking a bit bare before long!
I picked up enough items for breakfasts and lunches plus a couple of snacks (DH got his cookies). Susan can still pick up other items if she wishes as we're out and about. The laundry is put away and bed freshly made including the mattress pad so less to do when we get back home.
Will check back later, or tomorrow! Her flight is arriving 10 minutes early and we need to make a stop to mail our ballots and a couple of greeting cards out.
